ooc MLP Western - Dustbowl Caravan

When unsuspecting workers accidentally mined into the vast petroleum deposits underneath the San Palomino Desert , they inadvertently set all of Equestria on the high-speed train to industrialization. Unfortunately the nationwide oil boom also brought higher demands and the San Palomino was quickly sucked dry, thus sending the prospering Equestria spiraling into an economic depression like never before. In a scramble to bring back the flow of petroleum, the princesses offered free land to settlers moving south to find new oil reservoirs and ponies from across Equestria flocked to the nearest train station in hopes to get their hooves on some "black gold". Eventually prospectors uncovered their goal, but doing so wasn't easy as the new mines were isolated from the Equestrian mainland by a large swath of land that came to be known as "The Dustbowl". The Dustbowl was a brutal desert with an excess of sand and a distinct lack of food or water. Caravans became the most popular way to traverse unforgiving wasteland as railroad construction was kept at a grueling crawl due to bad conditions and constant dust storms. Now the last caravan of the year will set off to cross The Dustbowl or die trying.
 
Rules:

- When not posting character dialogue use ((i.e)) so you won't confuse anyone. Otherwise post it all in the OOC thread.
- Use good spelling and grammar, typos are alright every once in a while, accidents happen, but please, pre-read your response before posting.
- Cursing is fine, but refrain from using it in every other sentence.
- Don't take control of other peoples characters (such as speaking for them) unless you have direct permission from that person or DM.
- If someone is inactive for a long time, don't bother with them. Let me handle that.
- If you are inactive for too long, don't be angry or disappointed when your character is killed off or handed to somebody else. Don't come begging to be let back in either.
- No spamming, derp.
- Don't post in the RP thread unless your character has been approved by DM.
- Do not kill off major characters without confirming it with the character's creator or DM, this does not count for minor or unnamed characters.
- No god-modding, All OCs are created equal (this is a complete and total lie, but still, no god-modding).
- All character's must be pony, zebra, changeling, or griffin. No alicorns and no dragons. If you feel you deserve an exception (you don't) and have a good reason for that (you don't) PM me.
- I am the only Dungeon Master (DM) unless I pass the title on for whatever reasons.

Yes I like him, however I'm looking for more settlers than aids. Beastly is good for an aid position because I can't see him in any other position, Zaidor I could see as a settler or traveler however.

Oh seriously? I saw the message, i just couldn't think of what to say about what he could be, so i decided to leave it for later and think about what he could be. But sweet, and yeah, I know he shouldn't be a super ninja, and i know he is a little soft, but... Again I can't think of what he could be or what to say about him.

I'm fine with anything as long as you can give a good reason for their presence, that said I've looked over all the OCs you have on your page and I can't really see any of them in the setting of this RP without major edits. I could recommend some changes to a few of their backstories if you'd like, or if you've got time to spare you could design a new OC altogether, whichever you prefer.
