That question of a name was technically for the changling disguised as a mare but I edited my post to account for both, since I just realized Golden hadn't ask either for their name nor had he given his own.

Name: Yessica Bolts

 

Gender: Female

 

Age: 118

 

Species: Earth Pony

 

Appearance: Yessica is a young adult mare of average size. She regularly exercises by trotting every morning around her neighborhood or by racing with some of her other active friends, and as a result she has a great physique along with good stamina.

 

Her overall coat is a dark grayish hue of green which visibly contrasts with her grayish yellow pupils. Her left eye moves slightly slower than her right eye, however the difference is hardly noticeable. Her mane, tail, and the bottommost-exposed parts of her hooves are jet black. She has a wavy mane that is medium in length and is generally parted to the left side.

 

Due to her dark natural complexion, Yessica is able to render herself almost completely invisible in the dark. She is also among the few mares out there whose fur does not cover the very ends of her hooves.

 

Backstory: Yessica Bolts was born in Germaney and raised in a shabby apartment room that her parents could barely afford. Her mother was always with her in the home while her father worked long hard hours mining for copper along with many of the lower class workers as the demand was especially high at the time. For the first few years after Yessica's birth, she never got to see her father that much. She felt neglected, despite her mother always trying to reassure her that this was his way of showing his love since the family needed all the financial support that they could get.

 

Not being able to afford public education, her mother taught her everything she knew, for which she is still immensely grateful to this day. Despite her father's frequent absence, she never felt alone when she was with her mother. She taught Yessica as much as she could about cooking, basic math, and even how to knit clothes. It was a hard life with its set of ups and downs, which Yessica was really accustoming to, until one fortunate day arrived.

 

Her father discovered an enormous deposit of copper one day while testing some explosives to aid with the mining. Being the valuable metal it was at the time, her father along with the rest of the miners each received a share that was worth enough money to safely support their families for years. In addition, he was finally able to take his first vacation.

 

Though Yessica, who was 10 at the time, was still feeling hurt about his frequent absences, it didn't take long for her to finally develop a deep and loving bond with her father whom she had missed so much. Because of the money he earned on that day, his work schedule got permanently cut in half, which as a result brought the family even closer together. She still visits her family regularly to this day.

 

She was finally able to attend a real school at the age of 13 and although her very first day at the "Flankfurt Filly School" started out awkward for her, she quickly became comfortable and immensely pleased with the new atmosphere. She even made a couple friends with whom she bonded and cherished over the years.

 

She discovered her cutie mark and gift at the age of 16 while leaving with her friends after being dismissed from school one afternoon when a powerful thunderstorm was quickly beginning to take place. The winds quickly became strong, to the point where they even knocked one of Yessica's friends to the ground. It became increasingly difficult and dangerous for the ponies to trot in this weather and the nearby lightning and thunder was making it worse. Yessica decided that would be best if they tried to find some place in which they would be safe.

 

Suddenly Yessica saw that her friend's manes appeared raised and noticed that her own mane was being raised upward just as well. She felt ... static. In just seconds, which felt like an eternity for Yessica, she immediately directed her attention straight towards the clouds above as she saw a bright flash of purple racing down towards them. Scared out of her mind and thinking that they were going to die, all Yessica could do in that instant was shut her eyes, cover her face with one of her front hooves, and yell "NO!!!"

 

With her eyes still tightly shut, she heard a loud deafening explosion, but to her surprise the source of the sound came from a good distance away. She then realized in that moment, that she was indeed alive. As she slowly opened her eyes, she saw that her friends were thankfully alive as well and they looked at her with very surprised expressions on their faces. She didn't quite understand why, until her friends not only explained to her what happened but what ... she did. They pointed towards a split and burning tree in the far off distance, and told her that she had actually deflected the lightning bolt before it almost struck them. Yessica was immensely surprised and she noticed that the hoof, with which she tried to protect herself, was glowing a neon purple. As surprised as she was, she was relieved to know that her friends were okay. The storm came to an end minutes afterward and that was when Yessica's cutie mark appeared, which was a purple lightning bolt symbol. It was an unforgettable and heartfelt moment, since she had just saved her beloved friends.

 

*Unfortunately a few months later, during the nuclear disaster that struck Equestria, though Yessica had survived the initial explosion and fallout, she ended up frozen and buried underneath heavy snow during the harsh blizzards afterward. Her body was lost and frozen for a hundred years.

 

Other: She would have to be discovered frozen somewhere cold. Oh and she can control electricity for she is not a regular Earth pony.
