Before you apply, I should inform you that this roleplay is, firstly, set in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Secondly, this RP is based off the movie "28 Days Later" and judging from my basic understanding, most of you have not seen it. Therefore, for the interested but clueless, I will leave some links below. They will brief you on the movie and the virus that is set in it, the Rage virus. As for those who have seen the film and are also interested, then you can help me help participants with whatever questions they may have regarding the film or the virus.

The storyline of this RP is as follows:

 

A few weeks after the invasion of Canterlot by the Changelings, the Royal Canterlot Hospital began receiving reports of bite wounds inflicted by the Changelings upon their latest patients. Strangely, the wounded were becoming sicker and sicker as the days passed. The doctors couldn't explain it, until research discovered traces of venom in the victim's bloodstream. With every passing day, the townsponies of Canterlot witnessed the growing numbers of family and friends making their pilgrimage to the hospital for want of the status of their loved ones, until one day, everything changed.

 

10 days after the attack, the hospital was reportedly overrun. A surgeon who had escaped reported to the local Royal Guard garrison that the patients had begun rioting, biting and killing the doctors and other patients as well. Before long, a massive horde of ravenous, rabid mix of doctors, surgeons and patients stormed into the city, biting everyone in sight. There was chaos as the Royal Guard frantically mobilized in a desperate attempt to halt the rioting (and growing) hordes, but they too were overwhelmed and bitten, joining the infected swarm. Within mere hours, Canterlot, once the gem of Equestrian society, was torn to pieces. Those who had survived were left with only one goal: get out of the city and get to safety.

 

So there you have it. This will be a private RP, but if you want to join, please report to this page and I will have you sorted. The rules are as follows:

 

There will be no delays for people who cannot post immediately. The rotation must be kept moving. However, after a set limit of 3 days I will PM the person(s) who could not post at the time. If they provide a valid reason for their delay, then I will give them all the time they need. However, if they should give me a reason such as "Not having a post ready", then I will put them on a time limit. If they fail to post after 3 days, I will issue a reminder. After 5 days, I will put them on probation. After a week, I will have them banned for 3 weeks. (I will modify these rules if the demand is high and unanimous)

 

No Alicorns, Mary Sue-type characters or super-powered OCs. This is zombie survival, remember. You must use whatever is at your disposal to survive. 

 

Strictly no godmodding. I made that mistake once.

 

I'm ok with cussing, vulgarity and relatively ugly stuff, but please try to keep content under the R rating.

 

Please ensure spelling and grammar is correct. It would make life easier for us if we can read what you're saying. 

 

The first action is for us to find each other and escape Canterlot as a group. Where we will go will be based on a vote. Be advised that danger will not come from the zombies alone. Equestria is chock full of dangers and life threatening stuff, so mind your words, your steps and anything else important. 

 

Now, I'm going to be very clear on this. If any one of us is infected, we will have between 10 to 20 seconds to kill them off before they turn. While that is irrelevant, the important thing here is that if one of us is infected, we have to die, no exceptions. Do not fret, you may re-enter with another of your OCs if you wish, but it would be wise to add them to your entry application so as to give me a record of appearances.   

 

Five OCs will be joining me in the escape from Canterlot. They will be listed below:

Seems to me the pegasi would have it easy, seeing as infected pegasi, if any, would have their flight ability canceled by the spasms in their wings.

I would guess the same would apply to unicorns, seeing as a high amount of concentration is required to make spells, yet the infected have decreased intelligence.

Well, my idea is for the infected pegasi to fly alright, however they would still have difficulty flying due to spasms, as you said. However, their added adrenaline would greatly increase flight speed and power. As for the unicorns, perhaps so, but they can still use their horns to impale their victims. Also, there will be some who can still use their magic. But yes, infection will severely limit the infected's capabilities. 

 

As for you, Sage, thanks for signing up. However, I took a look at your OC and it seems he doesn't like fighting. I hate to break it to him, but there's going to be a lot of fighting in this RP. I hope he can make an exception, considering the circumstances of their current predicament.

Firstly, yes. Its a zombie apocalypse survival horror game. Secondly, yes, you can be any type of species, so long as it isn't OP or Mary Sue, or an alicorn for that matter.

Um, I've never seen Dashie run, so I can't say. But flying as fast as her would be OP, at least by my reckoning. My idea is for everyone to be sort of average, but unique as well. Average to the point where the only advantage we have against the infected is that of wielding weapons (no guns, just spears and other medieval weapons, as well as improvised and homemade weapons), as well as our own hooves and magic.

It seems in light of a revelation I have learned, this will be a private RP. People are still quite free to apply, and I will try to fit them in my group, but I cannot fit them all, so sorry if you don't make the cut. However, I will still find you a role in the RP.
