I came here because I thought it would be most helpful. I thought, "This thing is AWESOME!" and signed up. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: My friends online were bronies and pegasisters. I watched a couple of episodes on YouTube, and I just started liking it more and more! Hi! I am Purple Pie! I am a fan of Pinkie Pie. Because my favorite color is purple, I made an OC based on her. And as for your OC, I would suggest not making her an alicorn and not using Pinkie's hairstyle, but hey, it's your OC, you can make her however you like.
