"Not amazing?" Eloquence looked down into his eyes. "That's ridiculous. Just because you aren't specifically trained for combat doesn't mean your magic isn't incredible. Nopony I know could do what you do. I think you're just fascinating Mirror, and if you're down on yourself for making some mistakes, then you can take comfort in the fact that every pony who's ever lived has made mistakes too, and lots of them." She smiled encouragingly. "As for your request, I'm a bit confused. We're already at the Gala, spending quite a bit of time together. Why would it matter if I'm specifically here to accompany you?"

 

((Since it might create some confusion, I should let you and the others know OOC that Eloquence is painfully oblivious when it comes to other ponies liking her. She takes after her creator))

Facehoofing painfully, he chucklea. "A little oblivious aren't we? I ama sking youbout on a date." Rwalzing he just said it, Mirror feels like a weight has been lifted, although his face hurts quite a bit now, he can ignore that. "So, um yaaaaa, thats whatbI meant."

Eloquence blushed. "Oh, umm, gosh... Maybe we should talk about this later, when you're feeling better. You're probably still light-headed from passing out, and you shouldn't be expected to discuss such things while, umm, not quite at full capacity." Yes, that was probably it. He was probably just out of it. Since when did anypony take interest in her?

Standing up fully, he looks at her directly. "Look, I was thinking this before Chase showed up. I am not that easily befuddled by myself. But if you do not wish to, that is your choice. I will still be here either way. And if I wasn't serious, why would I have told you that while I was doing my show, I was watching you. When you ran off, I wasbtherebtrying to help you. So, does that prove I am serious?"

After everything that happen, Belle stumbled back into the ballroom. He knew Mirror was going to be okay so she didn't look for a medic. She was still covered in mud, which was not really bothering her. But her face was really hurting, but she could deal with it. It wasn't her first scrap. But it was the first one she started. She didn't pay attention to the ponies staring at her as she kept walking. as she got near a chair she collapsed over it and heat her head on the floor, knocking her out.

Eloquence considered their previous interactions and the pieces snapped into place. Sweet Celestia she was thick...

 

She blushed furiously and replied. "I, umm, oh gosh. I didn't realize you..." She let that sentence trail off and spoke again after a beat of silence. "Well, this would be an awfully strange date wouldn't it. It's been strange enough on its own, just as a party. I do still have a job to do here, one that I've been neglecting a bit, so I don't think I could really give you or anypony else enough attention to make this like a date. Umm, maybe we could see each other again sometime though, when I'm not technically working...." she managed to get out.

"Uh, sure. Erm, I forgot you were working. And I am still out of work. Thats probably why I forgot. Sorry, heh. Well, umm, until I get my magic back fully, I doubt I can perform the show for the princesses, so can we still hang out at least? I mean if youw ant and I wouldn't screw up your job."

She smiled, still blushing. "I would like that Mirror." She smiled and nuzzled against the side of Mirror's head a bit, hoping that she hadn't said anything wrong or made things horribly awkward as she tried to sort out her feelings. "If you're feeling alright, it might be best if we rejoin the Gala. We should probably find Belle and let her know you're alright..."

"You're right." He says with a smile. "And we shoud find her, after all she is a friend, and on top of that, she went all gung ho on that guy. I do not want her pissed at me, but I hope she is alright. I would hate for anypony to have been hurt, sigh.

 

(Nice to see that Gloomfury hasn't left, its good to have everyone but.I wish Bliss would return)

"I'm not really sure what to say to her about that, to be honest..." She looked down a bit, letting out a slight huff. "I know she had good intentions, but the fact of the matter is that she put herself and us in great danger by going out of her way to physically antagonize that stallion. Not to mention..." She paused nervously. "I don't really know if it was right. I mean, Chase may have attacked us, but Belle was the one to strike the first blow between them, and maybe if we had all tried to handle the situation nonviolently things would have been different. I think he's done some bad things, but you heard how he sounded when he was defeated. Maybe he could change, and then nopony would have to fight."

"He chose his path, as we have all chosen ours. I am glad you are far more forgiving pony than I am. Noone can change him, he will have to change himself first, and if he does, I will be the first to apologize for what I did to him. After all, are him and I that much different? We both have wronged many, and now I pay my price, as he will when the time comes."

She steered them into the main room after a fairly thorough scan of the outside, hoping to find the green mare somewhere in this huge crowd. "If you don't mind me asking, what is that price?" she said to her companion, eyeing him curiously. "You seem to be doing rather well for yourself now, at least from what I can see."

"Why do you think I had no friends? Or how about the guilt I feel everytime I see a pony I stole from? I half beleive the real reason I was invited was to be arrested for what I have done." He says, looking remorseful. "This is the path I chose, that is the price I pay, and I will always have that guilt within my heart."

She nodded and nudged him a bit. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound like I didn't think things have been hard for you. But on the bright side, I would dare say that you have a few friends now. At least you have one." She smiled, almost forgetting what she was there for until she saw something out of the corner of her eye.

She gasped and rushed over to Belle, motioning for Mirror Image to follow her. It seemed that in all the commotion of the event no one had noticed that she had passed out. "Oh no, not you too..." she muttered as she bent down to give her a closer look.

Running after Ekoquence, he sees Belle on the ground. "Damn, what happened here? Who did this? I swear if anypony did it, I will get them." His eyes start glowing oddly again. "Heh, which one of these little.ponies did this huh? Who hurt my friend?" Looking around he is glaring at anypony that looks in thier direction.

Belle could hear talking while she started to come to. One of her eyes open, but all she could see was blurry visions. She thought she was dreaming. As she looked up she could see a bright fuzzy blob of green. She lift her head up to get a better look. As she got closer she could see it was Eloquence. Belle cave a lopsided smile. "Oh hi, Eloquence... Did you see the train that hit me?" She tumbled over Eloquence as she tried to stand up. Belle fell on top of her. As she tied to stand again she looked down at her. "You know..yur really purtty." Then out of nowhere she leaned down and kissed her on the lips!

Seeing the scene transpire, Mirror Image's eyes go back to normal, except as big as saucers. "Wha wait, just what???" He asks as he realizes what just happened, his brain short circuits, and he faints, falling lije a statue. As he faints, he thinks, 'did that just happen? But....'

Eloquence stammered and blushed. Of all the events she found herself at this had to be the most compromising position any of them had ever put her in. She levitated Belle briefly, just enough to get out from under her and then support her in a vaguely upright position. "Perhaps we should get you outside. The fresh air might help, erm, clear your head a bit..." 

 

She gasped as Mirror collapsed as well, using her magic to keep him from hitting his head and allowing his head to rest against her. And there she sat, Gala patrons staring at her, with one dizzy pony not in her right mind and one once-again-unconscious pony, both of whom had shown romantic interest in her while probably mentally unwell from their fainting spells.

 

'What a night...' She thought with a huff

Opening his eyes, he speaks mumbling slightly. "Heh, a dream, that is all that was. Why do I feel like I am leaning on somepony?" He turns and realizes he is leaning on Eliquence. Blushing and stuttering, he jumps up and away. "So, wait, that did happen? Wait, wait. What just happened? Oh my gods. I did not see that coming."

Belle whined as he face twitched a bit form holding back another tic. "But I don't wanna." She clamped onto Eloquence like a baby koala. She nuzzles her fur. "The alligators are out there and they" Her face twitched. "want to eat our manes and tails!" She said with a light slur as she hugged her tail. "Don't give them the peanut butter!"

"It's..." She tried to find some way to respond to Mirror as Belle snuggled her. "Ok yeah, this is pretty weird. We should really find her a medic or somepony who can-" She stopped short when she saw a familiar pony trotting towards her.

 

"Hi Eloquence... umm, what's going on here...?" Twilight Sparkle, Eloquence's part-time mentor and full-time pony of the utmost admiration, looked absolutely baffled by the scene before her.

 

"Oh, hi Twilight..." Of all the blushes Eloquence had blushed tonight, this one was without doubt the biggest. "Umm, my friends have been feeling a bit... they hit their heads pretty hard. Would you mind...?"

 

Twilight giggled a bit and nodded. She gave Mirror and Belle each a quick look-over using both her magic and her medical knowledge. "Mirror seems fine to me, and Belle, well, she should be fine in a minute. If anything else happens though, you should take them to a doctor." Eloquence nodded, completely trusting Twilight's diagnosis despite her lack of official medical training. "Oh, and another thing Elo?" Twilight bent down to look the embarrassed mare in the eyes. "Don't worry about this. I can tell you've had an... interesting night"

 

"You don't know the half of it..." Eloquence interjected.

 

"But if I survived my first Gala, which mind you, ended with the whole event being turned on its head, then you can survive whatever's thrown at you tonight. Besides, all these crazy mishaps will make for better stories, right?"

 

Eloquence nodded, a small smile forming on her face.

 

"I can't stay and chat, I have a lot of ponies to talk to. Royal duties and all of that." She made a bit of a face as she said this. "But come find me later. You can tell me all about..." She paused and gestured to her and the other two ponies. "...this, and I'll give you some information to help with your article."

 

"Thank you Twilight." Eloquence said, feeling significantly better. "I'll have a lot to tell you."

 

Twilight laughed and disappeared into the crowd, leaving Eloquence to tend to her new... friends? She wasn't sure what they were any more, since they seemed to have some different ideas about what they wanted to be. 

 

((I hope no one minds me playing Twilight for a bit. I wanted to bring her in at some point, and this seemed like a good time))

Belle kept her hold on Eloquence as she got drowsy again. Soon she fell asleep again and nuzzled Eloquence's fur again as she slept. Her body and face twitches a few times, other then that she seemed pretty peaceful. As she snuggled into Eloquence's fur a small smile grew on her face.

"Hmmm, I actually thought she would be all fancy schmancy for this. Then again, isn't she always in her library back in ponyville? Like always reading? I mean always?" Trying to keep his mind off of Belle, he realizes something. "If I hit my head, then why doesn't it hurt? Hmmmm? Belle, yeah I think she did. That or she is hammered. Like really really over done hammered."

(OOC: For the sake of getting LB back into this RP I'll use her husband's OC Nights Hoopla, for this one time post, he's not part of this RP!)

 

Not more then 10mins after arriving home, she had just hung her garment scarf off to dry on a line outside their mushroom house. Her tiera too was in need of a good rinse...but she was too stressed and upset to do so. She took a plop on their greenish gray couch, and gave out a heavy sigh that woke her husband from upstairs.

 

Not wanting to waste any time on inspecting the situation, Hoopla teleported out of their bed room, hovering just above his wife's head. He could see the tired, upsetting look in her eye...her big drooping ears and saggy wings. She's just as cute as when she' sad, he smiled to himself as he floated down behind her. "Well this is a cheerful sight... but what's missing? Oh I know!" With a snap of his fingers to brighten her situation, he managed to teleport a big slice of apple pie from their kitchen, with some added whipcream curtousy of his magic. He handed to her reluctant hooves and crawled into the couch with her and cuggled her with his tail. "Now that you've got some pie...tell me... Why is the Princess of Peace not attending the Grand Galloping Galla?"

 

"Because Chase Razor showed up Nights..." she sighed and took a heaping bite of pie, to tone the crying that was trying to come out.

 

"Razor..." he growled in annoyance, "that punk really doesn't know when to take a hint...After the last time he rid us of our home in the mountains of Ponyville!? That arrogant piece of-"

 

"Nights..." she groaned at him.

 

"What? I was going to say piece of burt bread!" He nuzzled her cheek making her giggle. "Did you remove him from the Galla?"

 

"Yes...after we fought, and I risked three friends in the process... " she sighed, "I just didn't see a point in staying though... Nor do I really want to...But I admit that...the new friends I made were nice and..."

 

Before she could finish her statement, her husband snapped his fingers again. In an instant, her hair was refixed back to its galla glory, and her garment scarf, rose decor and tiera, were back on, clean and tidy like she had just put them on. "Then you should go back...and be with your new friends...Not hiding away in this mushroom with me... Besides *yawns* I was enjoying the sleep..." he giggled knowing she was just annoyed to not be sleeping in with him. "Go you...it's time you got back."

 

"But...but... but I... " she blinked. But before she could stop him, he snapped his fingers again.

 

She arrived once again, instantly by powerful draconequus teleportation, in the middle of the ballroom...as if she never left.

"Well, you didn't hit your head." Eloquence explained. "It was just easier to say that then to, well, explain everything. It would be about the same effect, and I'll tell Twilight about the actual events of this evening later, probably when we aren't in earshot of any guards." She looked down at Belle, sound asleep against her. "Looks like she wore herself out. What are we going to do with her? She can't sleep here, we're in the middle of the Gala for Celestia's sa-" She broke off mid-sentence. Maybe the light was playing tricks on her but she thought she saw a characteristic rainbow-colored griffon-like tail weaving through the crowd. "Did you see that?" she asked Mirror.
