Is Spike older than the CMC's?

I would like to think he's slightly older as he was born when Twilight was the CMC's age(atleast as far a i can tell without knowing the actual age).  

Then again who knows,remember he tags along with Twilight alot,so he might just be mature because shes been his surrogate mother since birth.

Yes I without a doubt believe Spike it older... though maybe only by a few years.

 

In the Cutie Mark Chronicles it is shown Spike being hatched, yet the CMC were nowhere to be seen.

In my opinion they are the same age.

Spike was born ~12 years ago, when Twilight was around 7.

The CMC are about 10~11 years old.

I wouldn't try to estimate the age-difference between people from different species by their maturity. Different species have different speeds of becoming mature. But I would say they are all about the same age, plus minus one or two years.

I agree with this .. i think he's older but not by much, maybe 2-3 years, plus the whole surrogate mother makes him much more mature.

If I get to choose, I would pick Spike, sometimes he does act very immature u know? Like in the poison joke episode: He's like: "Zombies?! ZOMBIES?!" And Applebloom , which is CMC decided to even go out even a dangerous adventure in the Everfree Forest? That's totally WICKED! It's just my thoughts though, ok cya

If we assume Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo are all the same age year-wise (month-wise would be particularly odd and rare), then I think it's safe to assume that they are younger.

 

Spike was born within the same minute all of the Mane cast got their cutie marks.

 

It's possible Apple Bloom had not been born by the time Applejack tried living on her own.

 

This moment is the axiom. If Apple Bloom was not born by this point, then Spike is older than Apple Bloom.

 

Though I have read a story that assumed Apple Bloom was born while Applejack was away, which would mean that Apple Bloom was older than Spike, but by less than two days.
