Holding them in one hand, he looked at them and thought about that extra large Cube he told her about. As he thought about it, the headphones morphed into a much larger version .of the Cube he's been playing with all day

Zen didn't really get what she meant by five finger discount, but it couldn't be that bad, could it? "Okay let's go then." Zen said to Louise as they made their way over to the bar, inside, it was pretty full, but there were still spaces open at the bar. Zen grabbed 2 that were next to each other, and gestured for Louise to sit down.

Feels weird to be in a place so full of metas; the bars I used to hang out with before were mostly regulars."

The girl then finished her sandwich and waited for Shadow to respond. She honestly didn't mind cooking, and found it a good way to burn the extra energy her powers gave her.

"This might sound weird, but this is my first time inside of a bar." Zen said timidly, "I never really had time for stuff like this." He looked around at all of the bottles stacked up in wonder. With all these different brands, Zen honestly didn't know where to start. "You know what, i'll just have what you're having. I can't make heads or tails of any of this stuff."

*Kain stared up at the sky. He felt exhilerated at this moment, for he was also sitting atop a pair of fresh corpses in a dark back alley. After the arrival group had dispersed he had encountered a pair of local metas. They were both very cheery and had engaged him actively even though he had made it clear that he wanted to be left alone. Eventually he feigned giving in and allowed them to buy him a couple of beers, after which he pretended to be a lightweight and lured the two of them into a back alley with his pretend drunkeness, where he donned his mask and struck with a lunge of blood. The first one died instantly, not having seen it coming, but the other was a bit more on guard. He could control glass and he fought back. But when your power focuses on cutting up your attacker for defense, a hemomancer is for sure the worst enemy you could face. Kain slaughtered the second meta who fell on top of the body of his friend, and then Kain sat down on top of them. He took the cash out of their wallets and put it into his own, leaving a few quarters with them. He considered stealing their apartment keys, but decided against it, seeing as how they were very social people and would probably know all of their neighbors. Him taking up residence would be like hanging an "I'm a sociopathic murderer" sign around his neck. Instead he stood up and removed his mask, walking out of the alley inconspicuously and beginning to stroll down the street.*

@, "Alright, I'll make sure I'll pick a good brand," Louise replied with a smile. She turned to the barman. "Two bottles of Becks, please," she said. The barman took two bottles out of the fridge and Louise paid for them. She passed one to Zen.

Zen took the bottle and looked at it for a second before drinking the bottle down to nothing. "It's...not bad." He said once he finished. Then he started to feel a little warm in the face. 'Must be the drink.' He thought. "I'll take another."

@, Louise finished her beer almost as quickly. "Another?" she said with a grin to Zen, before buying another couple of bottles. After drinking about half, she excused herself to go to the Ladies. On the way back, she carefully, without being seen, managed to steal some money out of a handbag left on a chair and returned to sit by Zen.

By the time Louse came back, Zen had polished off two more bottles and was now working on the fourth. He was really starting to feel the effects now. "Hey...Hey Louise. Guess what." He said, snickering to himself drunkenly. "The guy next to me looks like a hamster." He said to her in an almost whisper, referring to the hairy, mammoth of a man sitting to his left., and then laughed out loud. Suffice to say, Zen could not, by any means, hold his liquor.

@, Louise grinned. She was a well practiced drinker, having sneaked out of school many a time as a teenager to go to bars. At age fourteen, she could easily pass for eighteen. She took out a packet of cigarettes she'd also taken from the abandoned handbag, and lit one up, offering the packet to Zen.

Detru snarled in disgust as she crossed some dead bodies in an alley. She couldn't care less about their deaths, what bothered her is that this meant there was someone else in her territory, competition. She would not accept this, could not accept this. The bulky meta opened up her mouth and sprayed Oxygen Destroyer from her lips in blind anger. As the destructive spray hit the area around her, something became dark red. Dark enough that it stood out. Detru stopped her tantrum and looked at the now almost mahogany substance substance. She didn't know that it was blood of course, but she knew that this had something to do with the killer and her competitor. Detru began following the trail, spraying periodically to find it once more

"That's ok." Zen said as he finished off another bottle. He was pretty hammered at this point, probably because he had the body of a kid. Anyway, he ordered another drink. "I am so messed up right now." He said with barely held in laughter.

I at first wondered why she was blushing but decided to ignore it,"A couple of ham and cheese samwhich's will be fine." I decided to keep things simple, she was doing it to be kind I did not want to feel I was taking advantage of her kindness. That would not settle right fore me

Gale nodded slightly, and got to work making Shadow's food. She was able to find the cheese and ham, and it took only a few minutes to make 3-4 of them. "There you go." She said as she placed the plate with Shadow's food on the counter, before sitting down to eat her food.

I grabbed the plate with food,"Thanks for the sandwich's Gale." I took a bite and was pleased that there was not too much or too little of each ingredient. Dispute what some might say there was a wrong way to make a sandwich. I looked for a cup and found one, filling it with tap water I drank with the sandwich's.

As per usual, Victor was up at the crack of dawn. Today was a strange departure from the norm, however, in that rather than being tested on from the moment he woke up, he was having a rather enjoyable time making pancakes. He almost never cooked, but for some reason he'd always felt like he ought to at least know how to make those. Of course, that's not to say he made them very well, but damned if he wouldn't keep trying.

 

Somewhere, in another part of the city entirely, the Metahuman Research Institute was preparing to open. Within the next hour, new arrivals and long-term test subjects alike would be coming through the doors by the dozens, some willingly, others... not so much.

Detru had walked through the entire night to track down her competitor. This was mostly because she had doubled back several times when she lost her orientation(Brian Tom could prove just how mad she was). Eventually, she made her way to an alley...where the trail went cold.
