After a few minutes, Gale simply flew into the air, and headed back to the hotel. She grabbed her bag and glanced at Shadow's note. "I guess I had better go find him." She thought, as she flew back into the air. She would be able to find his specific electric signature, but it would take some time.

I was walking back to the hotel when I spotted a suited man in the corner of my vision, the man was surrounded by two much more buff men and like a cheesy action movie the middle man said, "Come with me, John."

 

"Why?" I responded my voice cold. I simply walked off before he could answer.

@, "I just plan to look around til I see one that takes my fancy," Louise replied as she finished her own breakfast. "If there's someone already living there, then that's just too bad. There's no place for weakness in the world that I live in; I've grown up with that, and it works for me."

*Alec walked down the street, bags of groceries and such in his hands. He was feeling fairly well. He had already gotten an apartment before leaving home. His parents and he had searched for one online and found someone in need of a roommate. A girl who called herself Echo. Her ability was fairly harmless, she could perfectly mimic anyone's voice with ease. A neat little thing that she could use to entertain people. Regardless, he was glad to have gotten moved in and settled so quickly.*

*Kain was walking through the crowd still rather smug that he had managed to piss off Detru as much as he had. He had heard her raging shouts as he had made his way out. But that had been a nice alleyway, and a good secluded spot for him to spend nights staring up at the sky. He sighed and stopped walking. He looked at the storefront that he was in front of. The window was full of television screens. It was a news interview, a popular musician and hearthrob, Alexander King had a few months ago, revealed himself as a metahuman. It shocked a lot of people and many considered it scandilous, the tabloid magazines went crazy, but King just overlooked them all. Kain rather appreciated the work Alexander was putting in, fighting to make metahuman hate crimes a more heavily punishable offense in more areas than just the sanctuaries. He wanted full equality for the meta's. Free from hate crimes, free from experimentation, and he was slowly turning more normal people to his side of thinking. Kain let out a little grunt of amusement before he kept moving. His vicious bloodlust certainly was not helping with this sort of thing.*

 

 

 

(Echo and Alexander arent going to actually be anyone I use, just side mentions who dont really get much if any presence in the rp. Its just something I do from time to time in rp's)

Nico looked over at the orange tabby on his bed and smiled. When he saw that Tora wasn't around, he figured that she must've been the tabby he found himself with in the morning. 'She seems cute as a tabby.' Nico thought to himself and turned back to the pancakes and made sure that they were cooking well before he did anything else.

He nodded, smiling. "It's the least I can do after the delicious dinner you made last night. And we've got a long day ahead of us, stuff that you aren't used to yet. You deserve something special." Thoughts of the upcoming experiments aside, he liked living like this. It was nice to feel almost... normal. "Anyway, they should be ready now. Sit down and I'll bring you some." In the back of his head he was just hoping they tasted less awful than they looked.

 

Elsewhere in the city, a man was delivering a briefcase to the Institute, although he himself was only vaguely aware of the contents. Someone had payed a great deal of money to make sure it didn't get there, and that was a good enough reason for him to see that it did. As meddlesome and frustrating as the Institute could be, it wasn't a good idea to interfere with their supply of important chemicals. Some of the metas might die without them.

Tora yawned and stretched, extending her claws one by one. She turned back while jumping off the bed and swiveled to sit in a chair "Makin' flapjacks? Afterwards, you wanna go check this Institute out?"

Victor shrugged as he set a plate of pancakes in front of her and sat down across the table. "Well, we go to the institute first, because as much as I don't like them, I do sort of owe them for getting me this place. And not everything they do to us is bad, anyway. We could be in there all morning, or it might only be an hour. I don't really know. But after that, I plan on exploring the city a little bit. Take in the sights, get the lay of the land, that sort of thing. If you'd like to come with me I'd certainly enjoy your company.

@, "Of course, and I can be very convincing," Louise said with a smile.

 

A few minutes later, and they were in the residential areas. Much to Louise's disappointment, she didn't have to use any force to persuade the meta who's house door she knocked on to allow her and Zen to move in. The meta in question was a woman named Rose who's power was to make flowers grow, and she was almost pathetically eager for Louise and Zen to move in and take up residence in the two spare bedrooms. Rose had lived by herself since her last roomies fell in love and decided to get a place of their own, and she was afraid of doing so. Every night she had armed herself with kitchen knives before she fell asleep, terrified that one of the many homeless metas might break in and force her out of her home. So Louise and Zen were a godsend to Rose, and she even was willing to pay for them, just as long as they offered her their protection in return.

Nico looked over his shoulder to see Tora sitting down at the table. "Morning. Yeah I'm making pancakes." Nico said, finishing up the pancakes. He put the small pile on two plates and placed one before her. "Hope they're good. Anyway, the Institute? Sure, we could go there. Nico said, agreeing to the plan. He didn't know what else to do today so that seems like the bet plan.

"Well that went better than expected." Zen said, a bit shocked at how easy it was to find a place to stay. He thought that he'd have to shake somebody down to get a place. "And that Rose lady seemed nice to me." He was currently just lounging about in the common area with nothing to do.

Gale noticed Shadow, and landed next to him. "Hey. I read your note." She said, smiling slightly. "So, did you have any luck in finding a apartment?" The young teen was honestly nervous about the island and the secrets that it might contain, but she felt comfortable with Shadow.

"Yes actually I found a basic two bedroom apartment for two-fifty a month." I got out a pair of key's. "And we can get our things over there right now if we want." I decided not to mention the man that wanted me for what's reason. "So how has your day been so far?" I asked.

Gale nodded slightly and smiled. "That's good to hear. As for me, I've been flying around the island. I stopped by the research institute, but didn't go in. I guess I got a little shy." The teen then felt a cold chill go down her back, causing her body to tense. "Is it cold out here, or is it just me?"

"It sure as hell isn't cold," I felt like my gut was telling me something but I did not know what. "Let's get our things from the hotel and to the apartment as quick as possible, something just didn't feel right." With that I quickened my pace an listened to everything around me. Trying to figure out what was wrong.

Gale nodded slightly and followed Shadow. She was nervous as to what was wrong, but decided that it was better not to ask what was wrong until later. "Ok. I already got my bag right now, so you're stuff is left. I wouldn't be able to fly if I had anymore weight on me."

I took a breath, continuing to walk I replied, "Thanks for informing me, the address is 1181 meta drive, apartment seventy-one the complex is called Florez apartments."

I handed Gale a key. "Here, just make sure no longer be follows you. I'll be there shortly just have to get my things."

Rikku ate the pancakes, pleasantly pleased with the outcome "These are very good, Victor."

 

With breakfast finished she cleaned up and waited for him to get on thier way to the institute.

 

Tora inhaled her food and then jumped into the shower. She was used to doing everything quickly, she had a hard time sitting in one spot or doing one task for too long.

 

"Hey, cousin Nico! Im kidding. Hahaha, let's go to the institute!" She hopped up and down in place.

Nico had barely taken a bite before Tora zoomed around the apartment. "Slow down Tora. We'll get there soon enough." Nico said before quickly eating his own breakfast. After a few minutes, he had finished eating and cleaned up the plates. "Okay, now we'll go." Nico said, grabbing his own Cube before opening the door and stepping out into the hallway.

"Shame really, I was looking forward to smacking some meta about a bit to get a place, but this way is better, cuz we don't have to pay for anything. I'm fine with acting the bodyguard for the sake of getting everything for free."

"I'm not all that tough so I probably won't be good at guarding anything." Zen said admittedly. He turned on the couch so his legs were hanging off of the back and his head was near the floor. "But I can't argue with free either. Plus, she can grow anything. It's been forever since I had a good grapefruit." He said with a far off dreamy look and a bit of drool coming from his mouth.

Detru's wrath was unbridled as she tore apart a dead hog(From the butcher. He had wanted someone to shred the meat for his dogs. Interesting meta power, being able to spontaneously create meat products). 

 

"Stupid, coward, running away, who does he think he is?!" she ranted, blood spraying everywhere as she tore away the pig with her bare hands. The parts that her hands couldn't rent, her beam shredded. 

 

"Note to self, hire her" the butcher noted, dodging what looked like a heart

@, "Yeah, being able to grow fruit just like that must save on money so it's not as tho we'll be costing much," Louise said. "I'll play bodyguard for both of us, and anyway, she'll be grateful for whatever you do to help protect her, even if it's just being there. And then she'll reward you with the fruit she grows with her power."

Gale didn't think twice and nodded. "Just be careful." She said, before running down the street. After a few minutes, she found the apartment complex and entered. "Now, I just have to find the elevator and get to the room as fast as possible." She thought to herself. So many questions raced through her head, along with fear for herself and Shadow. "Why do I feel this way for him?" She muttered under her breath.
