"Yeah it is nice up here." Zen said, admiring the view along with her. It was still pretty breathtaking, seeing the world just stretch on. He remembered going up there to just get away occasionally. It was then that he realized the situation he was in, romantic view, holding a pretty girl, noticing how the sun reflected in her eyes, being far away from everything else. He blushed at the thought but decided to just enjoy the moment. "Just let me know when you wanna come down."

She looked at him and placed her palm on his forehead. He was either burning up or becoming drunk "You haven't drank much have you? The wine you picked is very strong. But what have you gotten the need to do?"

Victor was suddenly very nervous and very, very embarrassed, like he hadn't been in a long time. Maybe it was the alcohol, but he decided to just say it. "I... well, I mean I realize this is extremely bold of me, but... well, you're a very attractive woman, and I do like you very much, you know, and... I payed and sat down with my girlfriend an idea that I couldn't and wouldn't even think about ever since my first one died from the ignorance of my abilities. A mistake that would never happen again. I stopped all thoughts about my past and decided to look forward to my future, and everything for once seemed good.

Nico sighed and gave Tora a big smile. "It's fine Tora. They said you'll be fine soon and that you will be sore for a while." Nico told her and once he saw the paramedics move to the ambulance after making sure Tora was healthy enough for them to leave, he sat on the ground next to her. "We still need to do one thing. Look for a house or an apartment to live in, if you're up for it and if you want to live with me that is."

Rikku lowered her glass and stared at him for a moment, she suddenly became nervous. "I should...I should start cooking...ahem..." She turned and sauntered away to the kitchen quickly, the blush radiating off her.

Gale smiled as Shadow sat next to her. "I still can't believe we're actually doing this." She thought. Ever since she left Russia, she was used to people calling her a freak, running away in fear, and just simply ignoring her. The worst part was when her parents left her out on the street, leaving her to fend for herself. "I don't regret leaving in the slightest. It's not like they cared about me." She thougt as she felt electricity run between the gaps of her fingers.

@, Louise too was enjoying the moment. She looked at Zen, seeming to only notice now how good looking he seemed to her. And he was holding her carefully; she felt completely safe with him, something that hadn't happened to Louise for a good while. Often while growing up, Louise had had unwanted attention from teenage boys and had been forced to use her powers against them to get them to leave her alone. Once, while walking home from school, a man had grabbed hold of her right arm. Louise had reacted instinctively, extending razor sharp spikes of bone out of her arm to get him to let go of her, which he did with a scream that was half pain and half disgust. She had turned to watch him run from her, feeling anger and hatred towards those who thought they could prey on women. But this, this was different. Here was a man she could trust.

 

"We can stay here for a little longer," Louise replied, smiling at Zen. "Then we can go and get some lunch."

'I can't think of anyone since after I got my powers. She really is something.' After some time passed, he decided it was time. "We should get something to eat now. We'll take the express down. " He said with a wide smile he cut off his powers and began to drop rapidly.

I don't know if its' the drug. or the freedom of not being in a lab all the time, or just that you're that amazingly attractive, but now it's on my mind all the time. All that I could focus on was keeping up with you during the chase. I don't think I saw any warehouses though ..." Nico trailed off as he thought about it for a bit. "Come on, we'd better go look for that warehouse then." Nico said.

I watched Gale as she electricity arched between her fingers I had to admit, it was a neat power and much simpler then my own, she dose not have to deal with the fact her power seemed to have a form of sapience.

 

I decided to break the silence, "So I heard the institute claims to have a serum to boost metas powers, you know anything about it?."

Gale shook her head, mainly to clear her thoughts. "To be honest, I didn't really know that they were working on such a thing." She said. "I may pay a visit tomorrow and see what I can find out." The teen was unsure as to what would happen, but her curiosity had been piqued, but she wouldn't let that distract her from Shadow.

"Okay i heard it when i visited the station." I decided not to add that I did not trust the Institute. "How about we both go together after I get out of work tomorrow, sound good?" I ask hoping she said yes.

 

*Maybe my speculation is a bit too paranoid, but I still can't say I trust scientists that seem to study us a bit to much and way to closely for comfort.*

The teen didn't say it, but she couldn't help but wonder how whatever the institute had would effect her abilities. Eventually, she finished her sandwich and leaned her head back. "So, what movie do you want to go see?"

He sighed. "I guess that means you aren't interested in me then, are you? If you're telling me to go look for somebody else. Honestly, even without the drug, and the... urges, I really like you. You're pretty cool, and you're compassionate, which is something I value after being surrounded by cold science for so long, and you're beautiful, of course, and it sounds kind of weird to say, but I really like your accent. I was hoping maybe you were starting to like me, too. But I guess I'm no good at reading women." He shook his head and got up, beginning to walk around the room aimlessly. "I don't... I mean, I can't blame you for not liking me. You could probably get any man you wanted. But... whatever. You're right. We should go out, if that's what you want."

Nico nodded as he walked beside Tora. "Yeah, I like parties. The concept anyway. I've never been to one though. I was too busy helping my dad with work as a technician to enjoy parties or even go to one." Nico explained as he held his head. It felt like it was throbbing. "You alright though? Not sure how you're feeling after being stuck as a predator." Nico muttered, rubbing his head to relieve the throbbing pain he felt.

Anyway, I wonder where this warehouse you spotted is. I'm surprised you watched where you were going, considering I blasted your ears with sound." Nico felt apologetic for hitting her with some soundwaves but winced as he felt some sort of white static noise fill his head.
