((I'd like to point out that I never said it was only two people. Not that it matters really, but still. I'm just going to assume you shot at the first two you saw. My fault for not clarifying that big fight meant lots of people, not just big stuff happening.)) 

 

One of the bolts of electricity simply missed it's target, who was already constantly dodging and weaving his opponents attacks. The other struck it's target- a large bald man covered in tatoos- on the base of the neck. The electricity crackled through his body and then suddenly seemed to be absorbed into him. His eyes became brighter and he almost appeared to grow very slightly bigger.

 

At the same time, someone ran up from behind and grabbed Gale before she could do anything else. They spoke in a fairly soft female voice. "What are you doing? Aside from the fact that hitting Charge with energy is only making him stronger, you shouldn't be getting involved in the first place. You keep doing that, and both sides will see you as a target. Trust me, you don't want that. The fight is about to get broken up anyway. Just lay low and wait for it."

 

 

On the ground, Victor was still trying to figure out who he should be rooting for, and was beginning to come to the conclusion that there were no good guys here. Except- the guy from the crater, he was on his own side, it seemed. Both groups were more busy attacking each other rather than him, but it seemed like he was trying to subdue both sides, or at least to limit the collateral damage. He often did this by blocking things with his body- which, it seemed, was just about indestructible. Victor had half a mind to go in and help him, but then, what could he do, really. As he was inwardly debating what to do, a bolt of lightning and what appeared to be some sort of acid both narrowly missed him.

 

 

The ball of fire that had briefly streaked across the sky earlier returned, and in fact, if any of the observers had been able to get a close enough look, the person in the middle of it might have looked familiar. It once again crashed into the ground, with the person inside landing in a crouch. A stray bullet seemed bound to hit him until suddenly it... stopped. The bullet simply fell to the ground, as if it had bounced off of thin air. A moment later, a man walked onto the scene from a nearby alley and said something to the fireball man that was lost in the chaos of the fight. The two then joined crater man in trying to put an end to the fighting.

Gale was slightly surprised and tried to look at the person who had grabbed her, moving her body slightly. "Do you really think I care about what they think of me. This isn't a bloody warzone." She said, as she made a slight layer of electricity cover her skin, giving anything or anyone quite a stunning shock. "People could get hurt. By the way, the name's Gale."

I watched the man absorb the electric attack, I was surprised by this little bit of information. I figured that I would have to hear about this at the station tomarrow and maybe I would find out more as well. I decided to find someone that could tell me what the hell was happening.

 

I find a woman near Gale and ask, "ma'am do you know what the hell is going on and why their fighting?"

Zen looked in the direction of the songs for a bit. 'It's really not my problem, but it could be soon.' He thought. His eyes started to glow a bit in excitement. As much as he hated to admit it, danger really did excite him. "We should go check it out. Whatever it is could cause problems for everyone." He said to Louise.

The person who had grabbed Gale was a woman, not much older than her and strikingly beautiful. If she felt any pain from the shock, she didn't show it, but released the girl anyway. "What they think of you isn't the point. It's what they'll do to you that I'm worried about. And maybe this isn't a warzone," her face darkened, "but it's not as far off as you might think."

"I know some. But it's not my place to tell you. You really shouldn't be here, but since you are... I think there are some people who will want to have a talk with you when this is over. For now, all you need to know is that one group of criminals is fighting another group of criminals, and those few guys in the middle are about to stop them. And then when it's over you'll hear the whole story. Probably."

I started to mumble the last bit. "Well at least I can find out shit that will help me figure out what is going on."

Gale rolled her eyes and sighed. "I can take care of myself," She said "But that doesn't mean I will continue. What exactly do you mean anyway, when you say this place isn't far from being a warzone?" The teen knew things were bad, but she wasn't expecting things to go that far. "And who are you, anyway?"

Detru was cackling like the mad woman she was as she jumped right into the fray, field testing her new blade. It worked extremely well, lopping off the limb of Brian Tom. She let out a screech of pain as some weird speedster slammed his foot into the small of her back, nearly knocking her over. He was repaid with a hole in his skull

I watched with a 'What the fuck' look as the psycho woman jumped in and randomly killed them "If this gets us involved..." I took a breath as I imagined the woman bleeding out. The sight of death was waking my little passenger and edging me to create a slaughter, it did not help that I was in my element right now.

"My name is-" Before she could finish a gruff voice approaching from behind cut her off. "Don't. You were already nearly abducted once today, talking to strangers is only going to get you into more trouble. If Al says so, they'll get their answers soon enough." Walking up behind them was a large and well-built man with tan skin and a look appropriately rough for his voice. He placed an arm on the woman's shoulder in a protective, almost possessive manner. "My name, though, I can give you. Not like anyone is coming after me. I'm Mark Koenig. They used to call me Kingmaker, but I put a stop to that. Damn silly idea, all these nicknames."

"You shouldn't be here." A man stepped out of the shadows and based on the tone of his voice was probably glaring at them. Of course, it was hard to tell because of the ragged cloth wrap covering his eyes. "It's dangerous. Leave."

Nico didn't know what to think as he looked at the all the fighting. He looked between Tora, the fight and back again. "Come on Tora, let's get higher up so that we can see this better." Nico said before going to the closest tall building and dashing inside. He stopped at the stairwell and looked behind him to make sure that Tora was following him.

Gale nodded and glanced over the fighting. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Koeing." She said, her tone not really giving off the impression of what she said. "My name is Gale. So, what exactly is all of this." The teen could feel a storm coming and was pleased when she felt a drop of rain hit the tip of her nose.

Louise glared right back. "Dangerous to who?" she replied. "Maybe to you if you don't tell us exactly what is going on here. We came to this island expecting to get away from this kind of thing, then we find that it's exactly the same as what we left behind. Perhaps you'd like to enlighten us."

Koenig shook his head. "I can't tell you everything. It's not really my decision how much you're allowed to know. But I'll throw you a bone. This is the side of Haven the government would rather you didn't see. This city doesn't really belong to anyone, and there are plenty of people who'd like to take control of the whole thing for themselves. Maybe it's not exactly the kind of warzone you're imagining, but the fighting is certainly real enough."

The man seemed frustrated. "No." He pointed down the street in the opposite direction from the fighting. "Leave."

Gale rolled her eyes and sighed. "So, what you're basically saying is that it's every meta for themself here." She dead panned, as the rain began to pick up. "I don't expect to take over, but I will fight if it is neccesary." He teen then noticed a meta from the boat jump into the fray and felt the electricity arc between her fingers.

Detru was beginning to feel somewhat overwhelmed. She was tough, yes, but a little bitch of a meta with a poison stinger tail had managed to stick her in the shoulder. It was a grazing wound, but she knew enough about pain to tell when your body failed you. She had to get more room. A blast of white mist and she stumbled into an alley, getting a breather

Rikku ran through all the chaos, finally spotting Victor. He was so dangerously close to the fray, he had almost gotten hit a multitude of times. She reached and pulled him back towards her against a wall "What are you doing?! You could get killed!"

 

Tora nodded to Nico "I'll meet you on the roof!". She hopped up into a sparrow and fluttered quickly to the rooftop. She circled above for a moment, surveying the characters. Then she landed on a corner and morphed back, Gale seemed somewhat familiar but didn't bring up any flags. The others, however, were strangers.

 

"Okie dokie, I'm getting that you guys aren't the bad ones right? What in the hells bells is going on?"

@@Alex Kennedy, Louise replied, "No, Not til you tell us what the hell is going on." She slowly grew three sharp looking bone claws from her hand and waved them in front of the man's face. "I really hope that you're not going to make me make you tell me. I might leave now, but who's to say that I might run into this same trouble a few days down the line? If I know what's happening, I'll be better prepared to take evasive action."

Nico nodded as he saw saw her change into a bird and fly up the building. He looked at the stairwell he was currently in front of and saw how high it waw. Without giving it much thought, Nico climbed the stairs at a steady pace. Once he reached the top, he was panting heavily and waited until he caught his breath before he went back out. He heard Tora's voice and walked over to her. "This seems to be a btter view." He muttered amd looked around the rooftop. There appeared to be different figures, the only one he really knew was Gale. But the other one was a complete mystery. "Do you know what's going on?" Nico asked the unkown person.

"Calm down Louise." Zen said, not taking his eyes off of what was unfolding. He was trying to see what he could infer from his surroundings but it didn't really help much. All he could get from the current situation was that people were fighting. "If he won't tell us what's going on, we'll find out for ourselves. There's no need to spill blood, yet."

I scratched my head wondering why people did not notice me but the woman and to say that I was next to Gale to I watched Nico approach and it seemed that he also did not notice me, I just slotted it under unconscious command due to the circumstances i was in. I shrugged looked at Nico and said "Hello there."

"Hmm?" Nico asked confusedly. He looked around and saw that John was next to Gale. He probably couldn't see him before because he was too focused on everything that's going on around them. "Oh. Hi John! How are you and Gale?" Nico asked, scratching his head. He was still going to find out what's going on though.

I took a breath, "We are doing pretty well , I start in my job at the NHPD tomorrow." I said the last part with a smirk glad that I still could do a job that I liked although it would be a pain to have to get to know how it worked here. "Anyway, how are you doing Nico?"

"I'm doing fine. Haven't a job yet though." Nico replied and was brt back to a sense of reality when he heard another explosion. "This isn't the time to catch up." Nico sighed and turned to the unknown person. "Do you know what's going on here? I get that there's some big fight going on but is there anything beyond that?" Nico inquired.
