He hesitated a moment before following her out. He had to sprint, but he managed to catch up to her. "I understand. And you're right. I can't ask you to fall in love with me. And I can't say for sure that my feelings for you are exactly as deep as love either. But...Do you think maybe we could just try going out together tonight? As a couple? No strings attached, I promise. And should some terrible thing come of it that we can no longer stand the sight of each other or something, the penthouse is yours. I'll figure out something else. I just... I'm not asking you to do anything more than to give me a chance. We don't even have to kiss or anything if you want. But I won't be able to live without myself if I don't take this chance. I didn't mean for this to happen, you know. I didn't mean to find myself so attracted to you, and then end up making an utter fool of myself suddenly propositioning you out of nowhere. Gale smiles slightly and nodded. "I would love to go see that with you." She said. The teen honestly loved DreamWorks movies and was able to watch most of them multiple times. "Come on." Gale then headed out the diner and towards the nearby movie theatre.

@, Louise felt no fear as she and Zen descended slowly to the ground. She felt safe with him. Once they were on ground level, she slipped to the ground and gave Zen a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks for that," she said, smiling. "That was fantastic. The world is so beautiful when you see it from a height; you forget about the ugliness contained within."

Detru looked at her hand, straining with all her might. She had an idea, but it would take some time to train it. What if she made a blade of the Oxygen Destroyer? For now, she was able to make a vague ghost around her hand, but not able to keep it stable when she swung for nor sharp enough to cut

I followed Gale out the door, it was a five minute walk to the movie theater when we arrived the next showing was in ten minutes. After I paid for the tickets I looked at Gale and asked, "Want to get some popcorn or are ya still full from our meal?" *so far so good, let's hope it stays that way.*

Gale nodded slightly and seemed to blush lightly. "I don't really mind. I could use a snack in case I get hungry." She said, as she walked up to the counter. The teen then ordered a cherry icy with a medium sized popcorn. She then turned her attention to Shadow and gave a light smile. "Do you want anything, or do you want to share?

I smiled, "Dinner filled me up," I patted my belly exaggerating each motion. "Let's get to the movie don't want to miss over ten minutes of advertising, and reminders to be quiet and turn your cellphone off." I lightly chuckled at my little joke. With my statement I handed my ticket to the staff and entered the theater knowing Gale was behind me.

Gale nodded as she followed Shadow into the theatre and sat in one of the seats in the middle rows. She would wait until Shadow sat down and began to relax. "This is going perfectly." She thought to herself. The teen honestly hadn't expected the date to go this well, and was happy that there were no problems.

The movie finally started after ten minutes of annoying commercials, I watched as the beginning song started out the movie. I looked over at Gale as she also watched the movie and smiled. I had to admit she was great looking, and her hair had a habit of making her look so much better then she already was. I decided to look away before she saw me eyeing her.

Gale smiles as she sat next to Shadow and noticed that he looked over to watch her. This caused a slight blush to spread over the teen's cheeks and she placed her hand on the armrests of her seat, hoping he would put his hand on the one that was closest to him. She was tempted to give him a peck on the cheek, but decided to save that for later.

Half the movie passed, and I had my hand on my own arm rest where it found Gale's hand. I just let it sit there as we watched the movie only coming up to get some of the popcorn we shared. Luckily my hand found the bag and not anything else so it did not get awkward.

Zen's brain shut down for a couple seconds when she kissed him. '...did that just happen?' He asked himself. Embarrassing as it was, no one had ever expressed any kind of fondness for him except his mother and his friends, all of whom are now dead. "Um, y-yeah," oh great, the stutter is back, "So let's grab that bite to eat now."

Detru grinned as she finally made a blade shape across her arm.

 

"Who's dumb now?" she muttered, doing a few practice swings. She succeeded in cutting her hand open and flying into a storm of curses as she hopped around, massaging her injured hand. Okay, maybe that wasn't the greatest idea ever. Still, she had left a pretty deep slash in in the air as well, she could feel the empty area. Maybe practice would help

Gale smiled as the movie played on and felt Shadow's hand on her, causing her blush to deepen. She then rested her head on his shoulder as they watched the movie. "Thanks for taking me out." She whispered slightly, enjoying the time they were spending together. "To be honest, I would've been in some cheap motel if it wasn't for you and I don't exactly trust most of the other metas we saw on the way over here."

I smiled enjoying the feeling of contact, "Your welcome, and I'm glad I could help in that regard." I decided to ask a question that has been bugging me for the past few days, "One question if it makes you uncomfortable you don't have to answer. Why me? Of all the people there you ended up trusting me a stranger, like everyone else. Even to the point of bunking with me. I mean no offense but I'm just curious."

"You don't give yourself enough credit. You're kind, funny, smart, good-looking, and probably one of the only sane metas that I've met in my life." She said. "Some on the boat here were a bit questionable and Nico already had a bit of a relationship going and I wasn't about to be caught in the middle of that."

*If only you knew who I am and the mask I wear, but you can't, nobody can.* I said in my mind. I still blushed despite some of the thoughts going through my head. I took a moment to gather my wits before I continued. "Um...thanks for the complement." I took a hand and brushed it through her hair calming me down a bit my blush at all present.

Gale felt relaxed as Shadow ran his hand through her hair and closed her eyes, listening to the movie. As the credits finished, she woke up and gave Shadow a peek on the cheek. "We might as well head back to the apartment, unless you want to go somewhere else."

I nodded my head, "Yea let's do that we can cuddle some more once we get back" I blushed at the bluntness of the statement and reluctantly got up and looked at Gale, helping her up we walked back to the apartment, about twenty minutes later we were at the door.

Tora and Nico came to the warehouse she spoke about, and there was plenty of space. A few crates and left over equipment was all there was."Maybe you should wear some tinfoil. To block out the signals. We could go back to the institute for help..."

Nico looked around at the extremely spacious warehouse. What he saw surprised him. There was some equipment and crates strewn about, but other than that. it was very open. "This looks like a great place!" Nico exclaimed and turned towards Tora when she mentioned tinfoil. "Tinfoil? That would just make me look stupid. Anyway, I can't block out the signals if they're tied to my powers, now can I? Anyway, I'm trying my best to block or shut down the signals so that the police don't come looking again." Nico explained. He put a hand on his head as he felt the white static change from being white noise to different bleeps and bloops.

Victor nodded, admittedly disappointed, but realizing it was for the best. "That's... fair enough. Can I at least convince you to come back in for dinner? You don't have to cook or anything if you don't want to, but I'd like your company, at least. And there's still more wine than I think I can handle by myself. I promise us living together doesn't have to mean anything. Not until you're ready for it, anyway. I'll... try my best to hold on until the drug stops making me quite so crazy."

Gale felt a bit excited as she entered the apartment and laid down on one of the two bed in the apartment. She then motioned for Shadow to lay next to her and gave a slight blush. "Well, he certainly knows how to treat a woman." She thought to herself, smiling at the thought.

I saw Gale lay down on the bed and motion me to lay next to her, I knew she was not in a haze or anything like that and I stopped myself from blushing. I did as she wanted and layed next to her hoping that it did not go too far. *Wow its been how many years since I cuddled with a girlfriend, its been how many years alone and just doing my thing as needed to keep another innocent from harm.*

Gale giggled slightly and as leaned her head against Shadow's shoulder. She really enjoyed being near him, and felt comfortable being within his arms. "Don't worry. I'm not going to go that far just yet. Let's do this for a few weeks to a month and see where that get's us." She said. The teen then gave out a slight smile and played with Shadow's hair.
