Sadist sighs and moves on. She didn't know what she'll do in the presence of the Lord Inquisitor other than just act nice and do as she was told. She just steeled herself for whats she will be dealing with. That would be helping mortal ponies kill her own kind. She wasn't sure if she was doing the right thing anymore. She feels like she is betraying the demons that took her in, but also if she decided to turn on the Inquisitors, they would most likely destroy her. She was in something that there was no escape from, one way or another. She knew she was going to die. Some of the demons she will be facing, are some of the strongest of their faction. She will be sought out and killed by the demons. She then sighs to herself. She really has no reason to fear death. The sooner she was destroyed the sooner she would stop suffering her fate, that is if she doesn't survive the upcoming days. When she thinks about it, she is truly no pony's friend, no pony's ally. Just a lowly reaper of those souls whom sin. "What am I to do?" She asks herself quietly.

As the pair walks around the corner, you notice that the changeling- Moon Crypt, while turning, caught a glimpse at the two of you, the look of irritation deepening as he realized that he had been seen out of his disguised form, especially by the one creature he wanted to avoid being revealed to. Then they were out of sight, what little could be heard of their voices spiralling down and down outside of the audible spectrum.  

 

Lee sighs at Mooncrypt's face. 'Probably shouldn't have done that'. he thinks to himself. He shies away from Sadist, wondering what is wrong with himself. 'One of the ponies I fell for a while back turned into a demon, I helped her then went on the run. I just now turned myself in to the inquisition...and now I'm becoming buddy buddy with a "reformed" demon? What is wrong with me?' As these thoughts swirled around his mind, he was so preoccupied that he didn't see heartless until he bumped into her. He gets up, rubbing his head where he'd run into her and groans. "Oh, hello Heartless...that explains it. Remind me never to fight a metal pony if a hoof fight. I think I'd lose." As he looks around, he notices the pony in the funny get up from the debriefing. He walks up to him, an annoyed look on his face. "Excuse me, but I would appreciate it if you would ask me personally before trying to do something to my mind. I appriciate the thought, but I've had ponies in my head before, so I know how to fight dark influences." He stops his tangent for a breath and pauses, a sheepish look on his face. "Apologies. We got off on the wrong hoof. Let's start over. I'm Lee." He extends his forehoof to shake hooves.

Something just bumped behind Heartless, turning around, she saw Lee rubbing his forehead. "Ah! Senior Officer Lee! Are you all right?". Watching the clumsy pony getting up, she knew there was something bothering in his mind.

"I don't think I need to introduce myself again. Anyway, I'm from Black Legion. I hope you're fine with our way of running things." she shook Lee's hoof after Disruptis was done. "Where is that white demon? Is she not joining?"

Disruptis turned to face the newcomer. "Hello Lee! My name is Disruptis," he replied. He shook his extended hoof. "The mental barrier does not influence your mind, it simply blocks it from outside communication. If it really bothers you then just don't activate it."

 

Disruptis went on, "I suggest you use it. This is not the first demon run I have been on. This ward might save your life. I can't have any of my team dying."

 

He needed to say that. Not particularly for him, but for himself to. He needed to care about these new ponies.

Lee shook his head. "Thanks. It's nice of you to say that, but I've had my share of Demon run ins as well. Heck, my special some pony turned in to a minor demon lord a while back. I'm just saying that I don't like things in my head. I know you mean well, but I'm a bit...paranoid I suppose." He closes his eyes for a moment, his horn glowing a dull yelllow color, then when he opens them again, you can tell that one of the wards has disappeared.

Turning to Heartless, he nods and shakes her hoof. "I'm from Luna." He rubs the spot on his head where he'd run in to her and smiles. "I'm fine. I just need to watch where I'm going." He looks over to where Sadist was standing and nods. "She's coming. I think she's just gathering her thoughts."

Sadist was trying to calm herself down and she looks behind her at Lee. She notices some others who were talking with him. She closes her eyes and she sighs. She felt her nerves still shaking some. she had to be tough if she could get through this. She has killed many mortal souls, she could so this. She had to if she hoped to help them break the demonic control in the city they planned to storm. She turns to them but doesn't exactly approach them as she knows what they think of her. Lee was an odd exception to this but she couldn't put it past him to have some sort of thoughts about her that were negative. She at least should acknowledge that she know they are there. "I could hear you mentioning me. I am ready... admitably after arguing with myself..."

Sadist was a bit hesitant to take Disruptis's hoof in a shake but she did so out of respect. If he was willing to give her a chance, then she couldn't turn down a hoof shake. "Greetings. Though it doesn't matter, my name is Sadist. I have been hearing allot of ponies refer to me a white demon. I guess it's not false, considering that most ponies are not use to seeing me in my true form outside those who I am hired to kill."

Her shadow stopped playing with it's ball, when it heard Atrocious's question. The black sphere, conjured by it's magic, disappeared; and Shadow did what could only be thought of as rolling its' eyes. "Cue the response, that will get herself killed in 3-2-"

Just before she could state her opinion on three other group activities they could all do, something seemed to catch Muddle's eye. She smiled and had to stifle her sigh of relief. 

 

Quickly, she brought her attention back to the two beings in front of her. "Uh, I guess, I can't really think of anything better?" She couldn't shake her overall nervous tone, but she did sound slightly more confident. "I guess, since I will-" She corrected herself, "I 'plan' to be here for a while, I guess it would be a great way to know you both better." She looked around the room, but quickly gave up her search, and looked at the mare. "So...any idea where we would we actually go to... 'have fun', miss~" She didn't know her

Heartless looked at Sadist, "..." . A moment of silence circled around her metal head before raising up her hoof, "Hello, I believe you know nothing of me." lowering her voice frequency to a level where only demons can hear "...but I know your kind" . Her voice reverted back to normal, again continuing their conversation, "I'm Heartless of Black Legion, please to be working with such a reliable fellow like you."

 

"If you do any suspicious thing, I won't hesitate to vaporize you"  

 

She forced a subtle smile onto her face, relaxing her eyes in a friendly manner.

Sadist nods to Disruptis. "Well admitably it is nice to be in company of others, mortal or nor... it's just not often that I am..." Sadist sighs. It was then she notices Heartless looking at her. It seemed to acknowledge her, hearing what Lee and Disruptis couldn't. "Greetings. I honestly haven't met any inorganic beings before. Then again, I haven't been with the Inquisitors in the past, even when I was alive... In anycase, It'll be interesting to be working with you." Sadist disregards mentioning what she could only hear but she knew well to not entirely disregard it. She could tell heartless was programmed to kill demon ponies like her. The only reason why she isn't dead now is probably due to her having permission. She did have returning sense of being unwelcome however after Heartless spoke.

Though Lee couldn't sense anything from Heartless, he could feel Sadist's feeling of discomfort after speaking with Heartless. He wasnt sure what happened, but he knew he needed to address it. He approaches Heartless and *ahem*'s to get her attention. "If I may speak with you a moment...alone?"

Sadist sighs and waits. She wasn't sure what Lee wanted to Heartless to the side for but it maybe because of the unease Heartless caused her. She didn't want to make any issues for anypony. In truth, she just hoped one day she could just be spared this suffering. One day. Honestly, she couldn't make anything out of anypony's current kindness. She feels like because she has special permissions, that everypony is kind of forced to accept her. She didn't want anypony to feel forced to do anything. If they didn't like her, she'd rather they said it to her face than hide it... but mortal ponies are just scared like that. Maybe for good reason. Heartless was the only open openly express it to Sadist while hiding to the others.

"Alright, you're the only pony that knows that I'm actually a Changeling...or I'm assuming you do. My biology would match that of Mooncrypt and I'm sure you already knew about him. Either way, you know.  I don't want you telling anyone else that. Got it? Also, I'm not sure what you said to Sadist, but I have a pretty good idea based on the emotions she was feeling after speaking with you. Before you do anything, if you find anything out at all, I'd like you to report to me ok? Either me or Mooncrypt. Understand? Now I'm not stopping you from doing anything, but should something major come up, report to me and Mooncrypt alright?"

Heartless turned to Lee, hearing Lee calling out for her. She didn't know why but her senior officer made it clear it was urgent.

Sadist nods. "Sure, I'm ready to go. The sooner we get going the better. In truth, I kinda want get this mission done so I can put it behind me... Considering what I going to be doing." Sadist says with a bit of sad tone. She really didn't want to think about it too much but did want to get the job done. The sooner this was out of the way the better.

Lee drops the barrier so he can be heard again and says aloud, "I'm heading to the airship if y'all want to come along." 'Nothing is happening to this team!' He thinks to himself. 'After Golden Pines, then the Manhattan incident, I have to make sure this team comes out of this alive.' "I Will Not Fail You!" He whispers harshly under his breath.

Sadist heads on out to the docks, following Disruptis and the others since they knew this better than she. She looks around as she passed by many interesting things along the way. Mentally taking note of landmarks to remember. She did this to remember how to get to certain places. It's how she learned to navigate cities and towns.

((Alright, you're all I got left. Reminds me of what happened during Golden Pines- everyone but four people left. Let's see if I can cultivate this further!))

 

((Also, we're about to really get started. Here we go, guys.))

 

As you walk along the docks, idly talking and examining the various ships of various sizes and colors. It becomes obvious quickly which ones are Inquisition-owned and which ones aren't- namely the coloration. The traders seem to favor large, obnoxious, and colorful airships, while the Inquisition tended for smaller ships and darker colors- although, looming in the distance and hidden by a huge cloud bank, you could see truly titanic airships, as well as the small blurs moving up and down the sides that were made by pegasi performing maintenance and routine checkups.

 

Soon, you notice that a rather chastised-looking Moon Crypt come around the corner. "Come on, everyone. Let's get going. We've got some ground to cover before we get there."

 

Leading the group around the docks, you are all lead to a small, sleek black airship that feels like it is trying to be out of sight. Indeed, until you got close to it, you seemed to have missed it with your eyes. After everyone was standing on deck, he waved inside, and no more than ten minutes later, the airship had parted from the docks and was on its way, piloted by one of the captains that the Inquisition hired from various traders and mercenaries. "Well," Moon Crypt started rather sheepishly. "Err... we're about two or three hours out from the city. With any luck, we should be getting there soon after dusk, which means that we can begin our operation tonight." He shrugged. "There are various training stations belowdecks, should you wish to warm up your skills... the cabin behind me is where the captain is, and where I will be located if you wish to speak to me. About anything, I might add, as long as it's not too personal of a question. The cabins behind you are where there is food, a few supplies such as daggers, rations, and survival equipment is located. In one hour, we should have a visual of the city, but it will take us another hour to get around it without being seen. I'd like to meet everyone there then, so that we will be able to plan out what we're going to do to get this city back to order." With a short bow, he smiled at everyone- including Sadist- before retreating inside the cabin, where, almost immediately, you could hear a low babble of Moon Crypt conversing with the captain.

Sadist nods and watches as Moon Crypt enters the Captain's room. She was curious to why Moon was smiling so brightly. Something tells her that was because of the Grand Inquisitor telling him to grit and bare having a demoness aboard. It would make sense since he didn't make a good first impression when he first saw her. She almost has this eerie feeling that he is up to something. For now, she'd rather not think about it. She moves on and lays on some seating for a bit. She closed her eyes to meditate a bit and get herself level minded for what's ahead. Her living bandages covering her face once more, her one closed eye only being visible aside from her mane. She was not sure how ready she'd be but she'd have to be ready considering that she is needed for the success of this mission.
