Rant: Why are some Bronies DEFENDING Anti-Bronies?

The bronies who go around 'defending the fandom' when they could just get on with their lives are why anti-brony brony supporters exist.

Funny, because if anti-bronies didn't exist neither would the sensitive 'rabid' bronies. "Ignore it! Ignore it!" Because God forbid we can't feel offended like normal human beings for the things haters say or do... it's easier said than done.

 

Yeah, they are entitled to their own opinions, yet they keep forgetting the same applies for us. That's why they get so upset when we take offense to their actions.

No resolution would be achieved by simply ignoring it, that is a common myth to shoo away bullies. In some circumstances it is best to leave things alone, but there are other occasions to why it can't be ignored.

I wouldn't defend anti-bronies, but I wouldn't go on a counter-crusade either. As pointed out in the OP, it's possible to hate the show without being a prick to everyone who loves it. And most people who aren't bronies fit into that category, so be careful not to denounce everyone who isn't a fan as an "anti-brony."

 

Don't try throwing haters a bone for any reason. It's pointless and you're liable to get bitten anyway. On the other hand, I've been supremely annoyed by the "fuck the haters" mantra some have been spouting since day 1 of the fandom. Not only does it tarnish the morals of the show itself and much of what the brony fandom at large tries to represent, but fighting hate with hate will only get you more of it.

 

 

Most of these people don't even believe what they're saying, and those who do only believe it because that's what they want to believe, not for any reason that resembles rationality. Whether you defend them or attack them, you're doing yourself a great disservice as well as the rest of us. Just give them the brush off and go back to enjoying MLP. Nobody but you can hinder that.

Personally, I only really stand up for the ones that arn't dillholes about it. You know, the ones that really don't have a problem with bronies, just the bronies that are spastic freaks about the show/character/etc. I've met some anti-bronies who have no problem with me, or whatnot because I don't bring up anything to do with the show around them, and they respect that. I also have no problems with it, because they don't trash it around me either. 

 

Now the ones that flood pony stuff, in their pathetic attempt to insult us, they can die in a fire for all I care. I'm also not too fond of those bronies that take stuff way too far, or act like their entire life revolves around the series....that doesn't just apply to bronies btw.

 

Then again, I've seen ALOT worse then this, so this is pretty timid really. I could bring up at least two examples of things far worse.

I feel like we need a review on COMMON SENSE.

I have noticed some bronies have been defending Anti-Bronies.

The bronies that do this usually put down their own fandom and say "Well they probably have a good reason for hating the show."

First of all, you can hate MLP and NOT be an anti-brony.

Anti-Bronies HATE BRONIES.

The fans who love and watch the show.

And I'm not just talking one or two Bronies.

They HATE EVERYONE who is a Brony.

They are the ones who go around in the YouTube comments calling Bronies faggots, pedophiles, and much much worse.

Anti-Bronies are a hate and you CANNOT defend the actions of a hate group.

 

 

Well..  A lot of anti-bronys I know used to be bronys...  Until the end of Season 3 and the "Big three" events which seemingly occurred simultaneously:

 

1.)  The creation of that horrible EQG Movie.

2.)  The abrupt coronation of the show's main character.

3.)  The cease and desist of "Fighting is Magic" by Hasbro.

 

I don't blame neo-anti-brony's for hating the show because of this stuff.  There are a few other abominations that occurred around this time as well.

Due to the nature of the brony fandom as i have said in a previous reply, we will allways thoose who dislike the show. these anti-bronies vary, some hate the show to a obsession  while some just plain don't like it. if you think of it like this, you can see that not all anti-bronies deserve the hate that the fandom directs at them

I'm not saying bronies are perfect, but that doesn't exempt those who hatefully criticize bronies from being criticized themselves. Maybe you're right, loser isn't the right word. If you make hateful comments for no reason you're an asshole.

The point I want to get at is simply that I don't see any legitimate purpose or value in insulting other people, no matter what they've done. It accomplishes nothing good but serves only to add to the hatred, and it is in that way a bit hypocritical (or so it seems to me). If we really believe in love, we ought to live that way even when others aren't.

Because it's unprovoked. We didn't do anything to them. We just don't like them. We don't go around bashing anti-bronies, anti-bronies go around bashing us, so obviously there's backlash, that doesn't mean we're the same. They're worse because they started it, and they're hating on us for no reason other than we're different therefore fuck us.
