Banul 3,831 August 21, 2014 Share August 21, 2014 I think it's more likely that the team animating the shorts is a different team than the one animating the movie.

Brony Pride 67 August 21, 2014 Share August 21, 2014 but still maybe they have the same animating team for the shorts and the movie Most people, like GTA, have 2 teams working on 2 different things, one team works on the story mode while the other works on Online. So they probably have a team working on the movie and a team working on the shorts. Or they animate the shorts in their down time. But I highly doubt that they would stop animating the movie just to animate some shorts. "Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun!" "Oh now I know how to call a chickun!" Odyssey 5,716 August 21, 2014 Share August 21, 2014 DHX doesn't create movies out of thin air that easily. The reason they make shorts is to boost their sales and the movie as well as to foreshadow on what is going to happen in Rainbow Rocks. Also, from what I've heard somewhere, most MLP: FiM episodes actually take months or even a year to be made. You shouldn't assume DHX is wasting their time simply because Rainbow Rocks hasn't been released yet. Please respect the fact that not only episodes take a long time to make, but also realise that these people have a life outside of making episodes.
Dawning Demon 950 August 21, 2014 Share August 21, 2014 I think it's more likely that the team animating the shorts is a different team than the one animating the movie. Making a movie requires a lot of people so they would have lots of different teams working on different things, like making those little Rainbow Rocks clips. Shanks 10,816 August 23, 2014 Share August 23, 2014 It takes a very very long time for all the various stages to come together to make an episode or in this case a movie. The writers need to write a script which is done after quite a bit of back and forth between them and Hasbro, how much of which probably depends on the episode. The writers get together with the artists and animators and make a storyboard, and the composers and sound people make different songs and sounds to match whatever scene. It all gets put together and the voice actors then do their job by acting as the characters. The reason why Rainbow Rocks is not out yet is because they are not done yet, be patient, the movie is going nowhere. Starlight Fan 538 August 24, 2014 Share August 24, 2014 Wait the shorts aren't in the movie? I heard not. However, the clips with "Battle of the Bands" and the Dazzling talking about why they were banished are apparently in the movie.
Jeric 46,851 August 24, 2014 Share August 24, 2014 Wait the shorts aren't in the movie? Yeah Meghan McCarthy confirmed that all the 'instrument' shorts are not in the movie. They work as both advertisement and backstory which is cool.

I enjoyed them, but I was hoping those weren't all going to be in cuz they're a little too "episodic" Check out my channel for awesome video reviews and analysis! https://www.youtube.com/c/LZRDWZRD

The shorts are part of the movie. Not seperate. How would Applejack do the Under the Sun thing. It had a cliffhanger so it is part of the film. Therefore your arguement is invalid. The only victim in graffiti is the architect. Graffiti is not a crime.
