Not entirely sure if it counts as programming, but I have been doing a whole ton of programming with plugins, permissions and bukkit ever since I was hired by my school to make a minecraft server.

I've also done a decent ammount of HTML and am learning how to use Java in infotech ten this year.

I know a lot of Java.

Currently in school we are seeing .NET stuff with C# using MVC3. We are supposed to know HTML and JavaScript for it.

We were also thaught COBOL, but that is horribly outdated. I'd love to learn C++ and Python

... I don't suppose by MVC3 you mean Marvel vs. Capcom 3?

I know how to build a fort out of pillows -- that's enough for me.

Indeed not, MVC stands for Model-View-Controller, it is a programming design principle.

Can anyone please explain to me more about this "programming"?

It sounds interesting!

Programming is interesting!

Basically, programming is when you make your computer do stuff by typing up some code. Your code is basically just a list of instructions for a computer to follow. There is a whole lot more to it than that, but I can't really tell you all of the rest. You should find our for yourself by giving it a shot!

Just click here and start learning how to code. -> http://learnpythonthehardway.org/book/

I know that some people will have other suggestions on where to start, but I was able to get my mom to use that book to learn a bit of code not too long ago - it should work for everyone. ^_^

  • 1 year later...

I love programming - and this thread doesn't deserve to die (even if it is 2 years old :P ).

My programming languages:

- HTML

- CSS

- JavaScript

- PHP (Favorite language, and pretty good at it  )

- LUA

- VB.NET.

- Learning C#.

- SQL.

I tried Java but its syntax is revolting! :eww:

And my favorite field of programming is web development :3
