Buck Testa 5,505 September 29, 2014 Share September 29, 2014 (edited) So I have not seen rainbow rocks but I pretty much figured out what was going to happen from the shorts Sunset was going to grow a personality and win against the sirens Twilight is going to science her way into the plot somehow cause science Obligatory fanservice from fan faves, probably Dj Pon3 and or Maud, and I KNOW Trixie is in it There are going to be maybe a couple good songs maybe but mostly vapid pop Some sort of "rock" themed ending with baddies tasting the rainbow, cause all the baddies need to taste the rainbow Oh and the baddies are going to look like they are winning for suspense but then Nope good guys win. And flash does nothing to further their crush Did I guess right? I am dodging spoilers left and right here but my brain spoiled the movie long before this point. I do want to see it regardless (cause I am a sucker for fanservice done right) but I want to watch it online. So am I right or what? Is it good even if it was that predictable? That's called "Complications and Higher Stakes" and is a vital component to the pacing of movies. https://www.storymastery.com/articles/30-screenplay-structure Anyhow, by your standards the movie is very predictable. That's just not necessarily a bad thing though. 1 Application REJECTED!

CavyShy 169 September 29, 2014 Share September 29, 2014 I'm seeing it this Saturday, too! (So, SHUSH!) I'm not sure whether to be excited or worried. When I first heard that there would be a second movie, I was a bit doubtful. I mean, what's the point...? I guess all will make sense this weekend. 1 *The Cavy Queen*
Gatekeeper Giggle 2,902 September 29, 2014 Share September 29, 2014 I guess I'll check it out when my pirate friends get ahold of it. Honestly, I don't think it'll be very good, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised. 2 My OCs: Dividend Yield, Stormgiggle | Ask Me questions! | My Counting Game Jeric, on 25 Sept 2014 - 6:09 PM, said: Any problem that you may experience on this site can be solved immediately if you simply throw Fluttershy into a wood chipper. That's just not necessarily a bad thing though. For the first point I know a lot about story structure, I am just giving the movie a hard time for the lols For the second point, I literally just watched it on youtube and it was entertaining as buck even with the predictability, props to hasbro for the sequel, I don't hate the human world of equestria anymore lol. 1 http://www.fimfiction.net/user/Billy%20G%20Gruff http://billyggruff.deviantart.com/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPVpSXbUpDYTcaFHTPiPjYA
AlbaTross 1,586 September 29, 2014 Share September 29, 2014 I'm seeing the film later today, so I've been avoidng spoilers. I'm not expecting Shakespeare, but something more or less akin to what I got from the first movie, which was a somewhat entertaining watch that more or less serves as a conversation starter for certain discussions, but otherwise has no impact whatsoever on the characters or FiM universe. Then again, from some of the thread titles, maybe this one does have implications for the show. Either way, I'm sure the film is alright. Based on the previews, shorts and released songs, I could probably think of worse ways to spend a Monday night.

TheJLeeTeam 914 September 30, 2014 Share September 30, 2014 I think Hub is going to air Rainbow Rocks on October 17th. I couldn't see it in a theater because my nearby theaters aren't showing it. I also don't want to be spoiled because it ruins the excitement.
