I don't think it's rigged, but I do think there's a chance it could be... framed. laugh.png

I'm still telling ya guys, the left side is more cinematic! It's like I'm staring at a movie about picture frames.

I don't know... it seems like there's something missing...

Does anyone have a problem of The Binding of Isaac having a massive slowdown? I know it's not my PC, as it runs most games with no problemo. Do you guys think it's an issue with Flash?

Have you tried The Binding of Isaac Rebirth? Because I've heard that the original Flash version ran really badly while the new engine used in Rebirth gets 60FPS much easier.

I don't even own it yet! But, I guess it's just a game problem. It runs better if I set the program priority to high, though.

Maybe try another mirror? :squee:

No, I mean the whole browser was lagging and barely functional while it was downloading.

Asus tablet sold! I'll be able to buy the storage once I get the money from that!

What's become a year-long project is almost over. My power supply is out for delivery and my case will soon be as well, and I have the money to buy the storage.

Usually, I spend whatever Christmas money I get on PC upgrades, so my computer is sorta under construction forever. :P

Last year was the first year I didn't do that, but... man, I'm really tempted to swap out my CPU/mobo for a Haswell chip, this time around. It seems I should see a substantial performance increase with an Intel chip in most games. I'm just struck with this conflict of spending money while I can, or saving and getting something better later on. The latter makes more sense, but...

Well, to cut to the point, my roommate has a better PC than me. Yes, before anyone asks, this is a problem.

I'd say try to wait until Broadwell, supposedly it's launching Soon™.

What I'm really waiting for is Star Citizen and Star Wars Battlefront. Both of those games should run well on AMD hardware due to Mantle support, and I really like the thought of being able to support them instead of Intel, being the underdogs and all. So, if I can hold out until AMD gets their shit back together and buy new rig around that time, I'd much rather do that.

But with Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed Unity, and now Far Cry 4 all having absurd system requirements, going with Haswell or Broadwell is tempting. I could also see benefits in games like Kerbal, Sins of a Solar Empire, or Supreme Commander, all of which I play regularly. Unfortunately, every game I've wanted to buy this year has turned out like...

I would wait a little until the games you want are closer to release so you can accurately gauge how overbuilt your new PC needs to be in order to support true, next generation fully cinematic 20fps gaming.

I don't want to jump aboard the hate wagon (given that there's already a thread for that) but I was browsing through the PSN store last night and discovered that you can buy 10,000 in game credits for ACU for the paltry sum of $99 of your American dollars.

You figure the game is already bad enough but it's got the makings of a mobile F2P to boot, except it's $60.

Not really surprised that there's a $99 microtransaction in the game, this is a game by the company that said that they need to turn $60 customers into $200 customers.

I'm surprised they elected to do it this way though. Season passes, map packs, pointless weapon skins or even a monthly fee, but no.

Take it right to the top (bottom?) with huge "micro" transactions, the most utterly blatant cash grab.

Ubisoft, no other words.

"Closer to release"

Haha, I see what you did there.

Or were you referring to Star Citizen and Star Wars Battlefront? I'd rather pretend thhat isn't the case, because then your reply makes sense and it's not so funny.

Dude. This is the most hilarious thing I've read in years... or at least since last night's comparison of frames. Seriously lol'd.

I'd say I went for an XFX unit over Seasonic because of aesthetics, but I'm gonna be covering it up so that's not really why. It's because, unlike Seasonic's own unit, it's fully modular. Still technically a Seasonic unit too as all XFX units are Seasonic rebrands.

I kinda thought the requirements PCGamer posted for Far Cry 4 were pretty forgiving.

On topic(two things)

Some spyware called "Relevent Knowadge" seeped in and I can't find out where it's installed at and appears at start-up despite not being in the start-up tab on my program manager.

I can't tell if Serious Sam 3 is really demanding or just poorly optimized because.

When I played through SS3 on my 7850, it ran fine until a certain part of the game where it had trouble staying in the double digits. I wouldn't be surprised if it was never fixed.

Between the performance issues and uninspired level design, it hardly compared to its predecessors...

Yeah, it's weird because the auto-test defaults it to ultra but it even have a few dips on just high-settings with a couple things tweaked higher.
