Gale huffed, annoyed that she herself couldn't get the accused to talk but the newly introduced Moonlit Ace could. Thats fine she thought I can just hang back and take notes of the conversation. Although this attorney looks a bit wet behind the ears, I'll ask questions for anything he missed. Gale wondered if maybe all the clues she would gather here today would be able to bribe the detective at the scene of the crime to give her back her I.D, if she had it.

Archean Gene was just starting out at the precinct a few days ago as a detective. Eager to start, Gene rushed down to the precinct and scattered around the building asking for different cases. All he could get was the murder of Sky High.

 " What?! The case has already been taken up?!". Gene thought for a minute, " How about a second detective for when the other detective isn't around?"

The head officer paused for a second, " Alright, but don't get in the way! You'll see some horrible things out there, be prepared!" Gene put on a smug look, " Hmmp, i'll be fine, sir. You can count on me." Archean rushed out to find where the crime occurred, hopefully the other detective will be cool calm and collected.

As Jolt was still helping Lee looking for the autopsy report. But Lee had a small plan. In the hallway of the prosecutor office there was couple of pony's chatting as they heard a yelp nearby office and a loud slam, Jolt got out of the office with a angry vain on his forehead and started walking back to Ace "(Lee you didn't change at all.)" he said as he got a copy of of the autopsy report. As he Lee got a hoof punch mark on his left cheek. "(He's still haven't changed bit.)" Lee head back to his papers for the case.

"I believe I have already told you my name, Mr. Storm." He said.

"Now then, the first thing I'd like to ask you is what were you doing on the night of the murder, and what did you see? Oh, and be careful not to strain your wing." He noticed the stallion wincing as he looked at his wings.

"I'm an experienced attorney, so all I need you to do is to have faith in me."

Moonlit said to the defendant behind the glass.

He had said it more because he felt like the pony behind him had been thinking about him.

 

 

 

"Oh really? I'm not so good with names..." Storm chuckled awkwardly before answering Ace's questions. "Well I was patrolling Dodge Junction on the night of the murder. The weather was really unstable and stormy, filled with thunderclouds. I was struck with quite a few lighting bolts while trying to clear up the storm. While doing the patrol, I spotted someone in the distance. I tried to warn him out of the way of the storm but... I was taken down with strong gusts of wind. He fell onto the ground quite hard and broke my wings..." Storm said regretfully, staring down at nothing in particular as he recalled the events.

"So you injured your wings down at Dodge Junction, Is that what your telling me?" Moonlit asked. "Okay, I don't believe I've heard anything about the actual murder though. Did you see the victim at all during that night?" Moonlit was determined to get some answers.

"I only saw a silhouette of him or her... I know he or she is a pegasus since I saw he or she flew but I don't even know who the victim is yet they accused me being the murderer!" Storm said frustratedly, holding his head between his hooves. It was even better for him not to know who the victim is... Or he would freak out. He IS a Wonderbolts fan afterall.

Waiting for the answers he would most certainly get. But it wasn't going to be easy to put this entire case together when all he knows is very little about it at the moment.

Jolt was walking to the detention center. But he made a stop by to a store. He bought himself some small snacks and one box of pocky. After a few minutes of walking. He arrived and waited outside of the detention center and was reading the Autopsy report.

Gale excitedly wrote down all of the information she had received so far. Even as she was writing down the events of that night though something was bothering her. "What is it she thought What am I forgetting?" Then her eyes widened in realization, No one has called yet have they she whispered under her breath. She thought furiously I could call them myself and get information, but ponies these days don't like reporters. Gale sighed sadly and cleared her throat to talk to Moonlit Ace.

 

"As nice as this information is have you called the Wonderbolts Headquarters I'm pretty sure they would be able to tell you what that pony was doing out there and if they had any enemies...just a thought,"she said.

"I-I'm fine..." Storm answered quietly while not looking at Ace. Suddenly, he groaned as he put an hoof to his head, looking like he was in pain. "It's acting up again..." He muttered under his breath, breathing roughly as he kept his head low, a hoof on the back of his head.

"W-what do you mean 'it's acting up again'? What's acting up again?" Moonlit quickly retaliated, but he wasn't sure if his client would be that open with him when it came to this particular subject. 

"Whatever you say, you certainly don't look fine to me." Moonlit said quickly.

But he had a looming suspicion...

'Going up against the chief would be undesirable,' Shadowhide agreed. The chief certainly wasn't easy to deal with. 'Alright, how about this: If you can at least prove that you're a detective, I'll take your word for it and let you join the investigation. However, I will be following this up when I return to Dodge Junction, so if you actually are lying about being assigned to this case, I'll find out and there will be consequences.'

 

(OOC: If you can't think of anything else, just show her something like a detective's badge.)

"Don't worry, I will do my best, here's my badge," Arch hands over his badge to Shadowhide for her to inspect. "and I assure you that I'm not lying. I stand by my claim and will never falter! So, shall we get going to the scene of the crime?" 

 

 

(OOC: That is so strange, I actually thought that showing my badge would be the first thing I should do, guess I seconded guessed myself. Le shrug)

She remembered when Arch offered a hoof and she ignored it, so to show him she's not just an extremely stern, focused pony, she held out her hoof for him. 'Shadowhide. "Archean Gene, no worries. I can understand the suspicion, you don't want a random bystander to interfere with the investigation" Arch shakes Shadowhide's hoof. Now him and Shadowhide can go and investigate. "OH! By the way, I usually work with the forensics scientist with ground-like objects. If there is anything you need help examining, i'll be there."

'That would be helpful. Thanks for the offer,' Shadowhide replied, as she walked back to the crime scene. 'In that case, perhaps you could start by searching for traces of blood and other similar things around the area? However, don't spend much time on hoofprints; that's my specialty and I've already searched the area for them.' While that last part about hoofprints was mostly true, she was hoping she could at least keep the discovery of Aero's hoofprints at the crime scene to herself for now, so she said that to prevent Arch from searching for them.

Moonlit finished up his talk with the defendant in his case, turning away, he restored his confidence.

 

"No matter what happens, we will find the truth." He was referring to his 'partner' that he had only met hours prior.

He had wrote down what the defendant had told him, he thought he may need it later.

Gale ground her teeth in frustration as ONCE AGAIN she was ignored. Fine she thought I'm a reporter not invisible, They don't want my help then I wont give it to them. She trotted out of the detention center and flew off back to her hotel room to once again compile her notes she had received from the witness. I'll solve this case myself.
