When he finally reached the Everfree Forest, Riley was hyperventilating, both from how fast and far he had flown, and the terror of the sight he had just witnessed.

 

He sighed, nestled down, and went to sleep.

 

'So what if I get killed? What is there to live for?'

Unlike in his previous life where he would have taken such a telling off personally, Nightwind Boreas felt completely confident and justified. He had a power like he had never seen before, and he felt ready to use it if he needed to.

 

"Pay no mind to that. When we combine our power and become a greater force than he, either he'll think twice about that..."

 

Then his piercing green eyes flashed and the cold wind gusted over him with great force and a biting freeze,

 

"or we'll make him think the second time!"

 

But his priority shifted to the red one who had run away.

 

"He ran to the south towards the Everfree. I see potential in him, he could be a great asset. We have to find him, and we'll make him an offer he can't refuse."

 

"We must go. If you can't keep up with me, just ride on the North Wind and it'll bring you there."

"why yes, his presence does seem to be in the Everfree, though we might want to hurry, based on what I sense he seems to be contemplating whether he wishes to live or simply give up..." Shade informed Nightwind pleasantly, as if talking about the weather. "What sort of offer do you have in mind, I wonder, to sway his thoughts?" He asked rhetorically. "I shall see myself there... Must make sure he doesn't allow himself to die before that offer, hm?" Shade said, flaring his wings and disappearing into the night.

Boreas flew with the strength of a Wonderbolt towards the Everfree. He had a sense of where he could find that Pegasus, so he addressed Storm Shade while tracking precisely where he could find him and enter from the north as he usually did.

 

"I was that once. Just like him, I too had a passion. All I wanted was to have a place in the world, and work in some kind of talent I could enjoy...

 

"but Equestria had cursed me. I wasn't physically adept, I wasn't socially well-off either. I had some sort of mental deficiency, the exact nature of it I don't recall. I was told that I was good at many things and that I could overcome my shortcomings. They told me, so I worked hard, and they screwed me. No cutie mark, no special talent, I was generalized. They tried to have me institutionalized and they tried to control my freedom of thought...

 

"Every time I had dared to question this system, they either threatened me with being punished or institutionalized, or they said that I didn't have it so bad and I should stop being spoiled. They didn't take me seriously, they thought that this was all in my head. All of the other foals my age either thought I was strange or dangerous. They didn't want to associate with me. All of the adults were trying to control me. So now, I've become this...

 

"Now I can overcome anything. I'm stronger and better than ever before, and I will not respect their authority until us, the dishevelled, the disenfranchised, the outcast, are given the places in their system we've worked for but they've taken from us!

 

"I found all of this within myself. Who knew I was hiding such great strength my whole time? Now, I'm sure he can find that within him as well. We just need to convince him that he has this within him, and with us he can reclaim his place in the world which has been taken from him."

Night kept to himself. He help his sword in his magic flipping it around as a dark magic radiated from it. Night Fang engraved on it. " I want to kill somepony" He said to himself as he walked, still alone. He had forgot about Twilight and just walked through the Everfree

as Snowflake scared the hell out of (Riley I believe I'm losing track who is who) he watches the pegasus fly to the Everfree Forest "hehe those ponies have know idea who they had just encountered" Snowflake then pulls out an old picture of his friends "we were the greatest but now we are no more.... we didn't die in vain my friends" Snowflake then takes a closer look at one of the ponies in the photo "you are still alive I know of it you may still be a hero but I won't hesitate to put you down if you stand in my way" Snowflake then opens his journal and begins to write

*about 2 miles away from ponyville* "well its a little warmer out here, tho it should be freezing here it being so close to the mountains or whatever that pony's name is that controls the weather here is doing, tho i'm sure i'll get to the bottom of this soon, tho, nah can't be he died, well, im sure somepony up here will know what the problem is." *Start going at a faster pace to ponyville

Snowflake decided to go look for Boreas to see what he was planing he put his hood over his eyes so no one would be afraid of his appearence as he got up and started to walk to the Everfree forest he noticed a Stallion running towards Ponyville and Snowflakes eye widened he then teleported to where Boreas was with his hood still covering his eyes

Night was still in the Everfree, hiding in a tree, waiting for dinner to pass by. Hi being a vampony made him love Ponies. ...or at least their blood. " Come on dinner...walk under my tree and have sweet blood waiting."

 

He was still, holding his sword at the ready.

Shade simply nodded as he kept pace with his fellow pegasus. "Indeed, let the current system of hidden corruption reap what they have sown..." He said nonchalantly. "They did this to you and they shall know fear of your true strength, now that the shackles of your potential have been cast aside." Shade chuckled. "There are many fools of the world... One such fool caused my own creation... I, myself, have always been of the darkness... Even if this body was not..."

Riley could hear hoofsteps approaching from a variety of directions. He looked up to one of them, and that direction just so happened to be that of the same green-eyed Pegasus he had witnessed just minutes earlier.

 

"What do you want from me?!" came his muffled wail as he hid his head in his hooves.

Boreas had finally caught up to this red Pegasus, and indeed he turned to him first, as Boreas approached him from the north.

 

"I hear talk you've considered killing yourself...that's not the answer. There's so much better in you...

 

"I can see it in you...there's so much better you could've meant to somepony but they had to keep distant, they had to keep you away! They throw you aside like you're trash, but you're not! I can see that you can do great things, I see you have the will, but every day, they're eating away your drive to do things. They're keeping you down, they're trying to preserve the control they have over you.

 

"Suicide would hurt them, but it would hurt you too, and you don't deserve that. You deserve respect!"

 

Nightwind Boreas had leaned in closer on Riley and worked his words on him the same way he had worked them on Wind Chaser, back when he was only a voice in that cloud-white Pegasus' head, hoping to bring the Riley's emotions to the better of him -- to turn Riley into what he had become.

 

"The strength is within you, and from it you can have justice! You can become all that you want in the world, and you will no longer have to ask for appreciation. You can command it!

 

"Soon you too will have great power. Join us, and you will again reclaim the purpose in life they were trying to take from you!"

 

"Show me that power! Bring it up! COMMAND IT!"

*Alamo running towards ponyville* *hears someone shout "command it!"* "that don't sound good at all, I should be careful around here either i'm losing my mind out here I better move to the side tho just to be safe I can see the town from here but what's in this forest I don't want to know " *Alamo moves away from the shouting voice and runs as fast as he can away from the forest*

Hearing the loud scream and yell Night took off to find it, maybe it could be dinner. He made sure to stay hidden and made sure nopony could see him. He land close to the two ponies and listen carefully. " Hmm...what might this be?" He asked himself. "This might be interesting."

Shade watched curiously as Nightwind gave his speech. "Well I must say, you certainly know how to give a considerably rousing speech." He spoke smoothly, stepping forward into the moonlight. "Hmm... I always did enjoy the moon more than the sun.. I guess it's the one thing I have in common with that... Inconceivably happy foal, Shine..." Shade thought idly, glancing at the moon.

 

"As loathe as I am to interrupt however, I must mention that he wasn't contemplating suicide..." He said "I simply stated that he no longer seemed to care whether or not he lived... To give up on life is not necessarily to seek death, remember that." Shade told them.

 

"However I don't believe you should give up on living either..." He looked at Riley. "Live, and prove that you can attain anything. Prove that nothing is impossible." Shade continued. "For if you give up... Than you simply must not see yourself, or your goal... As being important enough to work for...." He finished his own impromptu speech looking at Riley expectantly. "So, are you going to give up on your goals? Call them meaningless and impossible, allowing yourself to wallow in pity? Or are you going to fight to keep them? To show that you deserve your lot in life? To show that you can achieve greater things?"

 

"I'm not normally one for speeches..." Shade thought. "Or motivating and helping others... But it is in my own interests to keep as many allies as possible..." He mused. "And for one to fall to despair before the might of the storm..." Shades eyes flashed. "The storm must be able to crush them like the insects they are.."

*Alamo reaches the town and starts looking around for a inn or some place to rest after the long trip from appleloosa* "Hopefully one someone will offer me a place to sleep glad I brought my money with me, tho I sure there is something out in the forest might have to talk to the mayor about this after my rest*

as Snowflake was searching for Boreas he stops and turns to the right.... "don't think your so hidden I can see you hiding over there" Snowflake has spotted Night hiding "what are you doing over there?" Snowflake asks Night calmly, Snowflake doesn't seemed alarmed at the slightest to see somepony hiding

Night jumped back and grabbed his sword. He was ready for a fight...or dinner. "I'm watching...and who might you be?"

 

Night didn't like being spotted, how he saw him was an even bigger question. "Don't move." Night was ready to attack the pony and was ready to drink his blood as he licked his fangs.

"don't move?" Snowflake chuckled "you have no idea who you are talking to do you?" Snowflake starts chuckling some more "why don't you go rob someone more your level" Snowflake then starts to wonder down the path "now if you'll excuse me I'm looking for somepony don't have time chat"

Night ran after the pony soon melting into the shadows as he followed him. "Dinner." He was very hungry now and could bite this pony at anytime and was ready to. He made sure the pony was helpless and was ready to attack and bite into his soft neck. "Dinner."

Snowflake grins Night cannot see that he is grinning, Snowflake then creates a wall of Ice behind him and Night runs into it "now I suggest you run along before you end up so frozen they will be singing Let It Go at your funeral. You wouldn't be the first pony I have killed from my magic" Snowflake continues down the path keeping an eye out for Boreas

Night went around the ice and stopped in front of the pony. "Freeze..ha...get it." He drew his sword and help it to the pony's neck. "You got ten seconds to let me feed and you can be on your way."

 

Night waited for the responds as he felt a dark magic rise from him, this felt so...right to him.

Hazardpoint Radiation found nothing of interest in Ponyville, so she heads over to the Everfree forest to see if she can recruit with some creatures of her own kind. "There's always something or someone weird that happens in this forest." Hazardpoint thought.

Snowflake grins "my my your relentless alright but I cannot let you feed on me even if I wanted you to" Snowflake removes his cloak revealing his missing eye and several open wounds around his chest and lower torso "somepony has already beaten you I have been dead for 10 year I got summoned by a necromancer to roam the world as a spirit but I still have my spells and unlike other ghosts I can feel pain and be harmed" Snowflake puts his cloak back on "your just going to have to find somepony else to feed on"

After the lengthy speech which Riley had only been listening to, not actually looking up, he clutched his head with his hooves as he felt pain, before he looked up. His mane was more dishevelled than usual, and his colour scheme was darker. "Lead the way, master," he said in his demonic voice.
