Kachina looked around for anything Ai could potentially use as an escape. "I'm not sure that putting her to work in the kitchen while most of the camp was away on a mission was a good idea. I mean there's so much she could get a hold of here. Knives, ingredients, chemicals to make more explosives."

Damien heard someone behind him asking him to turn himself in. He turned around and saw a gijinka looking toward him with his arms stretched out trying to find him. Damien started creeping back toward the treeline and had to keep back a chuckle as this gijinka obviously couldn't even remotely see him.

Nox scraped his claws against a tree, making a scratching noise as bark was torn away.

 

"Come out to play..." Nox sang, looking around. He closed his eyes and tried to hear out his foe instead of seeing.

Damien continued to creep toward the trees and back toward Riboses' side of the battlefield. He kept a close eye on the gijinka keeping his switchblade out and at his side. He was also ready to try a quick escape using Shadow Sneak if he had to. He had to admire this gijinka, the whole "Come out to play" thing was definitely up his alley.

Nox shot forward, more like a shadow than a man. He had seen the glint of moonlight on the knife of someone, what a fool.

 

"I've found you" Nox grinned, flexing his claws and looking at where he knew his foe to stand. He couldn't see the other, but he knew that he was there

Seeing the wave of water rushing towards him, he saw little way to stop it. He quickly lifted one of the bigger rocks left from earlier, and had it in front of him like a big wall. Having seen what this move did to the rocks earlier, he was certain this wouldn't hold, so he held up his sword and arms to brace himself.

As the wave hit the rock, it shattered. A little bit of debris from the rock was flung at him, but the rock had cushioned the wave considerably where he stood, though the wave still hit him a little hard.

"Hmph..." came from him, as the wave settled. To attack back, he took a few heavy steps forward, before stomping the ground, making a sharp rock shoot out of the ground from right underneath their attacker.

"Right." Trixie said and followed him. "What are we going to tell her? I'm sure she already knows what's happening on the battlefield. Being a Psychic and all." Trixie asked him. Her slime moved around her body and seemed to bunch up where the Psychic touched her earlier. Possibky to try and heal it in some way.

Blake sighed and shrugged at hearing Kachina's question. "Can't tell you tha, Kachina. Kirara would know since she was the one who signed us up to take care of Ai in her place." Blake said, pointing to where he thought Ai was.

"I'd assume I'd just report my suspicions. Though, given the way we parted last, it would probably be best if you reported to her." William replied. "Although, considering the fact that I'd be telling her I think that Viral is going to mount a second attack on another front, which would, if properly anticipated, result in us at least surviving this battle and showing her that I don't want to take over. When she pulled me aside, she accused me of trying to usurp her, which, not only would be impossible due to our vast difference in abilities, but isn't something I'd want to do anyways. I'm a strategist, not a leader." He said.

"So you want me to report to her about what I just told you? The last time I spoke to her, it was about Viral and what I saw at one of his camps when an avalanche came down on to the camp. Mind you, that could have been unfortunate timing." Trixie explained to William. She wasn't sure if she could explain it to Ribose anyway.

"Fair enough, I'll talk to her. This hasn't been her brightest hour recently, she's been having mental breakdowns and has been lashing out at people with no provocation." William elaborated. "I wish she would just accept my assistance and at the very least talk to me. I want to help her, but she's making it so difficult, thinking that any attempt to get her to let her guard down is an attempt at a coup. I just want to help her in any way I can, not only because she's my CO, but because I think I really like her. I don't want that to get in the way of the war effort, however, so I'm trying to keep that feeling pushed back for later, but it's getting hard when she's getting so unstable like this." He lamented.

 

William sighed as they arrived at the camp. "Well, let's get to her then."

William approached Ribose cautiously. "Madame? Are you there?" He asked warily. "I think I have some pertinent information for you regarding Viral's attack."

"What?" Ribose hissed, turning around from her position at the back of the tent. Her eyes were bloodshot and the veins in her neck and head looked as if they had doubled in size. The noblewoman looked like a monster, to be short. "I have been powering up to face him" Ribose grunted, shedding her fine clothes to reveal crimson colored, cybernetic armor underneath. "It feels so strange to finally let loose" she grinned, tapping a button on the armor's chest plate, making the armor let out a hiss of steam. It had been given to her by a Deoxys gjinka who had found her after escaping the lab. He had warned that to control her power, first she needed to suppress it. Thus, the armor to keep her power in check was forged. And it had been deactivated

"Shut up!" Ferrous snapped, slamming his fists into the ground and tearing away a chunk of earth and stone, flinging it at his foe

"Scarlet, tell the poison, bug, and grass types to release" Viral smirked, himself floating into the air. "I send the sword, I send the horde" he quoted, his eyes flashing green as an explosion of insects shot from his mouth, wiggling in his throat as the flying beasts shot forward, little mandibles clicking. Following them was a cloud of toxins and other insects. The wind was brisk, and in seconds, the debilitating cloud fell...right onto the brawl between Ferrous's squad and Ribose's detatchment. Many from both sides would fall victim

Trixie followed William through the camp. Upon reaching Ribose, she stepped to the side and listened to the conversation. Seeing her veins look like they've been doubled in size made Ribose look extremely scary in Trixie's opinion. 'Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all.' Trixie kept her thoughts to herself though.

After recomposing himself after being shocked at Ribose's reaction, he stated "Then you will probably be happy to know that Viral is planning on attacking from behind soon." William coughed. "And while this may not be the best time, I like the look of the armor. Either way, he should be sending an attack from the south, which you will probably enjoy. I look forward to seeing you slaughter them." He said, grinning slightly.

Ribose's response was interrupted by a swarm of locusts entering the tent. Ribose let out a most unleaderly howl, flames erupting her hands as she fired about wildly.

 

"GET AWAY, GET AWAY, GET AWAY!" she shrieked, feeling the little feet and antennae crawling on her long after the locusts had left her for easier prey

Viral smirked as he felt his sister's anguish. As siblings, they could feel each others emotions when at a certain range from each other.

William dove on to Ribose, against his better judgement, and started swatting the bugs off her, if not being able to kill them, at least trying to take their attacks himself, even though it would hurt him more, as he was Grass and Dark type, as opposed to pure Psychic. "It's ok! It's ok Madame, there are no more bugs on you! And while I imagine that just contributed a lot of rage to your fire, I'd suggest you go and find Viral to unleash it."

Ribose twitched uncontrollably. She had broken down like a little girl in front of her soldiers. Her pride was in tatters. Every last molecule in her body yearned to strangle her snake of a brother. Even now, she could feel his amusement.

 

"I'LL KILL HIM!" she roared, flying into the air, surrounded by a black aura.

"Welp, that got her attention. Say, Scarlet? You're in charge now" Viral noted, just being able to squeeze the words out before a blur slammed into him, making the Moltres gjinka blink. Oh well, her master's orders were sound, killing more gjinkas. With a harsh squawk, she mobilized the remainder into Ribose's still more powerful force, hoping that the lack of Ribose's presence would cause disorder.

"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Ribose screamed, punching Viral's face repeatedly, only for one of her punches to be caught, her own momentum slamming her into the ground.

 

"Guess you are too, seeing as how we're twins" Viral grinned cheekily, still smiling despite the pain blooming on his face. The battle the two had waited for and dreamed for was now on

"Oh Arceus. It's starting now. Want to help me fight off Viral's forces? If you are strong enough that is." Trixie sighed and watched Ribose careen towards Viral. It looked like she was a rocket about to crash land. "Ribose didn't seem that stable to begin with." Trixie said bluntly to William.

William rolled off of Ribose as she flew off in the direction of Viral's base. He landed with an audible thud next to Trixie. He rubbed his head. "Ugh... Yeah, sure. We need to help out in whatever way we can. I'm not letting this end on Viral's terms." William replied. "We should probably stop by the field hospital first, I think we should probably heal up at least a bit, even if we can't fully recover." He said as he started walking towards the field hospital.

 

William entered the field hospital, grabbed a couple of potions and healed himself and Trixie.

 

Leaving the hospital, he noticed an attack coming on the horizon. "Trixie, get the troops together, leave the harder hitting forces to continue dealing with Viral's heavies, I told Ribose I didn't want to lead the army, but it's starting to look like I have to. I can direct the troops to fight the oncoming forces from the south. I'll need your help to get the orders out. We can do this. Tonight, we end this war." He said, determined.

"Thanks." Trixie thanked him and immediately felt a lot better after she drunk the potion. Hearing him order her to rally up the light fighters, she stood to attention and gave a salute, not caring what he said about not wanting to lead. "Seems like you have to sir. I'll catch you after the fight's over. If we live through this anyway." Trixie said, lowering her hand and left him to go and find the soldiers to give out the order.

As Ai continued to peel the potatoes, she scowled more and more at Kachina's comments. "You're making me out to be some kind of serial killer when you say it like that." She complained as she looked out and saw that the moon had now risen up onto the horizon. She smirked as the blue rings on her body began to lightly glow. Her eyes lit up and she dumped the pot she was putting the potatoes in onto Kachina and levitated the sacks of flour on the shelf to hit the ground and explode to make a screen for her to escape. As everything hit the floor, she ducked out of the tent.

The headache had subsided and Kirara found herself huddled into a ball on the ground in a sweat. "What just happened?" She asked herself as she slowly got up, holding her head. She went over to a mirror and looked at herself. Her face was pale white and sweaty. "Maybe Viral would know, but he's out..." She thought out loud. "I'll ask him when he returns." She added as she walked over to the stack of ruined papers and began to dig through them, seeing what she could salvage.

Hearing something drop, he then heard somone running. Feeling through the earth and the vibrations made near the vines he had planted earlier, he figured it must be Ai that was running. "Ai. Don't run. You'll never get far." Blake said simply and wrapped a vine that was planted near the entrance tomcoil arojndd the Umbreon's mid-section as she was leaving the tent. Coughing, he meandered through the tables and and walked up to her. "How many times do I habe to tell you? I may be blind but there's no way you are getting out of this punishment."

William nodded at Trixie, running out to rally as many troops as he could. He wasn't going to stay behind and order the troops though, he was going to fight and die alongside his soldiers. He went back to his tent and grabbed his leaf blade, a verdant katana which he attached to his belt and left.

 

He arrived at the heavy corps battlefield. "ALL LIGHT TROOPS RETREAT! HEAVY TROOPS HOLD OFF THE HEAVY CORPS FOR AS LONG AS YOU CAN! LIGHT TROOPS! FOLLOW ME!" He hollered as loud as he could, before he started marching towards the southern end of camp.

 

He turned as soon as the troops he could manage to get together arrived and he spoke thus "Tonight, everyone, this war ends. Ribose has left to confront Viral for the final time. In her absence, I have decided to take charge, but I will not be staying behind the lines and ordering you around. No. Those of you who know me well enough will know that that's not my style. I will fight and die along side my soldiers in the fields. Whoever wins this conflict shall be the winners of the war as a whole, as no doubt the battle between our two leaders is going on now, and shall no doubt end any time now. If we want any chance of securing a decisive victory, we must fight for our lives. Ribose is quite capable of taking down Viral, that I am sure of, but in order to keep the war from lasting any longer, we must finish this here and now. Viral has mobilized his light troops as well and they are being led here by Scarlet now. We must eradicate their forces now, and end this war once and for all. We can do this, but we must work together. I will lead a direct charge to face the enemy head-on. Trixie, over there" He said, pointing at the Muk gijinka, "Will be leading our flanking forces. They will consist of Ground, poison, and dark types who can reliably dig, disguise themselves, or hide, respectively and attack from the rear. Everyone else, will charge ahead with me, and I will relay orders as need be on the field."

 

William raised his sword and shouted "Soldiers! TONIGHT! WE DINE IN HELL!" The crowd erupted in to cheers of many shapes and sizes. "ONWARD!" He yelled, pointing the Leaf Blade out and marching towards the soon to be blood-spattered battlefield.

Kachina was caught off guard when she was hit with the pot of potatoes, causing her to fall over, and start bleeding from the forehead. "Son of a..." She nearly cursed, rubbing her head, feeling the heat pool over her hand. She couldn't see Ai anywhere, but Blake seemed to be saying something about how she wouldn't get away so she didn't worry much. "Ugh....." She moaned. "Ok, you aren't doing any more cooking you little brat." Kachina growled. "Blake, if you could, make some vines that will handcuff her to the metal table so she won't get out. I need to visit the infirmary."

As Ai was running out of the tent, she felt something wrap around her mid section and she came to a sudden stop. She looked down and saw that a vine had caught her. She tried to struggle to get free, but it was fruitless. Being turned around towards the tent, Blake had come out and told her how she wasn't going to escape. "You really think so? I can easily get away if I wanted to." She complained. From what she could see in the tent, there was a frying pan on the counter that was going to be used for the meat. While continuing to complain so he wouldn't feel other vibrations in the air besides her own voice, her eyes glowed and she lifted the frying pan and brought it towards Blake and swung it at him.

Scarlet let out a mocking laugh, flying over the assembly and blasting out flames from her mouth. Following her was the rest of Viral's forces, a mishmashed cohesion of wet behind the ears recruits. It was plain that Viral would use these as cannon fodder, dying by the masses as shields. It hardly helped that among the cannon fodder were a few from Ribose's team, converted by covert torture

"Always the bravest of us, sis!" Viral cackled, dodging a bull whip like crack of Ribose's tail. Dancing around gracefully, he tossed a Seed Bomb to Ribose, only for it to be prematurely detonated with a burst of psychic energy. Ribose merely spat at the ground, glaring at her brother. "Oh, you don't remember the rest?" Viral grinned maliciously
