I mean if it is a possibility for users to decide if they want to reveal their identity/where they come from. Because maybe some don't want other people to know

yeah.... they'd most likely make it optional... since you can keep your age and gender anonymous

Well, that is on the main profile page :T. You don't see age or gender by the avatar nor when you hover your mouse over the name
