@@aRegularPony,

Scurry popped his head up from the hole when he heard something splashing nearby. "You find water? Good. We should have a decent base here now, too. You'll probably want a rope or something to climb in and out, though. Do you think we should try to do something about the others? If we can get more of us prisoners together, we can get a lot more done."

*Quantum kicked the ground passively. He allowed what the stallion had just said to sink in a little. They may be leaving many ponies to their deaths, but in helping them, may severely endanger their own*

He seems to know what he's talking about. Best to just keep up. Don't make any stupid descisions.

"...Ok. You lead, I'll follow."

*He would have to do as he said. So far he was his only reason for survival, and the chances were, he would continue to be."

@@Alex Kennedy,

"I'd love to help the others, but we don't have the resources right now. If I run into someone, I'll bring them over, but we aren't in any position to pull off any rescue missions." Goldseek looked down the hole, and was impressed with the progress made. "Right. I'll work on getting rope then." Goldseek walked off, wondering how to make rope and how he would even climb a rope with hooves.

Indicus decided to follow the made on this one figuring she saw more thanks he did when it came to entrances and exits, sure enough a doorway happened to be there, on the left. He entered it carefully sneaking out not wanting to attract attention he also pirioticlly checked to see that the mare was nearby and okay.

Eve led the stranger, into a room that seemed to be a combination of dirty hallway and old musty storeroom. Dusty boxes on shelves were full of stuff that the pirates had taken from their prisoners and deemed worthless; rusty old keys that looked like they hadn't been used in  years hung on hooks in the wall, and stinking piles of half-eaten pirate food lay hither and thither. Eve began to shuffle through some of the boxes, quietly. Within moments she found a dusty satchel she had, full of herbs. Some of the herbs looked like pirates had taken bites out of them, hoping they were edible, and upon finding otherwise they must have decided the satchel was worthless. Eve put it on. She'd have to sort out the eaten herbs and the ones that were too dusty later.

She continued to search a little more frantically. She couldn't find her treasured crystal rose. It naturally wouldn't have been in these boxes anyway - it was far too valuable. But still she looked for it.

Indicus looked for his own items and found some of his utility items but not his blades. He muttered a curse and put the items in their respective places on his person, he looked towards the mare and saw that she was looking for something else besides the bag that she now had on her. "You can look for whatever object your trying to find for a little longer about ten minutes at most. The pirates will eventually notice their dead kin shortly, I want us out of this place before they find us.

Swallowing a few herbs, Evergreen continued to search feverishly through the boxes, and continued to do so for several minutes. Nothing, nothing, nothing, yada yada yada. Her rose wasn't anywhere. After about seven minutes of searching, she threw the last box she had been searching back down on the shelf she had claimed it from. "It's not here. Like I really expected it to be. Let's go." She sounded irritated, but back in possession of her mental faculties. Thank goodness for that satchel full of herbs. Even if some of them had been half eaten.

Grasping the hilt of the dagger, as if prepared for anything, she poked her head out of the other entrance to the room, and upon noticing it was clear, beckoned Indicus through. There was one pirate sleeping in this room, a half-empty mug foaming on the table in front of him from where he sat snoring drunkly in a chair. This room was what Evergreen probably would have called a lounge had that term seemed a little more piratey. A fire sat sizzling out, a few dying embers being all that remained of it. A card game looked as though it had been hastily abandoned, as the drunk pony must have been, at the same table at which he sat. There were racks for weapons to be stored, but these were all empty. Eve wondered briefly what was going on that nopony was here before starting to continue tiptoing her way through the room. "Reckon we should just walk out the front door?" she asked Indicus softly, trying not to wake up the slumbering drunkard.

As Night crouched under the building he spoke. "Man, I need to depend on you to help get us out of here, especially if there's trouble." Night peaks around another hole in the foundation. He steps out into the street trying the stay quiet and low. Sure enough, his luck eventually does run out.

"Hey there, stop!" A pirate stands firm, horn aimed directly at Night. "Don't move!"

"Shit." Night says. "Okay, okay. I'll be cool." He drops the machete and kicks it over to the hole near Quantum, winking as he does so, and hoping he isn't noticed.

'Man, now I need a favor from you...' he thinks to himself.

He quietly took some of the loose coin in the room as well, with that done he quietly made his way to the door. There was a single pony standing guard but looking away from the two, Indicus saw that the pirate could not be passed so he readied his blade and once he got close forced the pony on his hindlegs and stabbed the pirate through the barrel while covering his mouth to keep him from alerting others.

Indicus looked at the mare behind him, "Let's get far away as possible from this place before more come." Indicus noted that he was covered in blood, but did not worry about it.

*Quantum listlessly grabbed the handle of the machete in his mouth, and slowly crept around to the back of the pirate. He blinked hard, and swung the machete into the back of the pirates leg. He severed the tendon, rendering the pirate immobile.*

"If I see that horn light up, I'll bury this knife in your neck. Okay?"

*Quantum shouted in an ambiguous combination of anger and terror*

"Now tell me. Us. How do we remove these gadgets on our horns. And maybe we'll help you with the pain"

*The pirate was paralysed in searing agony. He was reluctant to reply.*

"It doesn't look like he's going to cooperate. What do we do with him?"

Night walked up and stomped on the pirates head, this time rendering him unconscious. "That's what." He took another machete from the unconscious pirate, sheathe and all. "In all honesty leaving him here is the least merciful thing to do. Provided he doesn't bleed out, he's sure to be tortured and killed for incompetence." The words hung in the air like a loose icicle, poised to strike someone down. Night simply looked up blankly and said. "Not our problem. Good job though man, keep the knife for later." He then rebegan the walk toward their salvation, no longer even attempting to be stealthy. He knew that they were home free. He stood by the roaring fall for a moment. "You up to jump?" He asked his partner.

Hektor is given news of SEVERAL escapes within the compound. He is brought to the most obvious ones first. He is shown a massive hole in the earth. He stares at it for a moment before turning to the nearest pirate, he places a hoof on his shoulder and breathes in calmly. He thenproceeds to violently break the neck of the pirate and throw him into the hole. "I want 5 barrels of oil in this FUCKING HOLE NOW!!!!!!!!!!" All 5 barrels are emptied into the hole quickly. He waits patiently and screams at another. "HIGH ALERT! SHOOT ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T LOOK, TALK, OR ACT LIKE US!!!!!!"

@@Mephisto,

Scurry had spent enough time in tunnels to recognize when one was flooding. The body that came crashing down wasn't very subtle either. Picking up the pace until he was digging as fast he could, he quickly burrowed around a decent enough ways that they wouldn't be right there waiting for him, and quickly burst up to the surface. As soon as he got out he took off running. As long as he didn't get ambushed by several of them at once, he was confident he could himself in a fight. Hopefully they'd split up to search for him and he'd only have to deal with one or two.

Hektor wasn't finished yet. He struck a match and held it up. "And with fire, they told us our sins would be cleansed." He then dropped it into the hole and smiled as flame erupted, probably 20 meters, into the air. He laughed, giddy at the thought of perhaps killing someone in the most painful way imaginable. He then pulled out a radio. "All encampments be advised. I want full patrols around your zones day and night. I also expect a progress report on a daily basis. If I find any slackers, which I believe none of you are, I would be most....... displeased..."

@@Mephisto,

The flames singed the fur on Scurry's back and gave him a pretty good scare, but he was lucky enough to be mostly unharmed by them. Trying not to think about anything else, he just kept running. His instincts told him to put as much distance between himself and where he'd been digging as possible. Maybe if he could find a cave he could make tunnels there that weren't so immediately obvious.

Goldseek watched as a pillar of fire erupted in the distance around where the base was. Smoke rose from the tunnel and Goldseek assumed Scurry to be dead or captured. It was a depressing thought, but was the most likely outcome. He started heading away from the smoke, deciding that the more distance between him and the pirates, the better. Eventually he stopped walking, tired, and dropped to the ground, under a tree. It wasn't fair. Goldseek had done nothing to deserve this, and as far as he knew, neither has Scurry. He took a moment to remember the diamond dog, before closing his eyes, tired and alone.

Evergreen flinched a little at the sound of splattering blood, but held her resolve. Nodding at Indicus, she continued out one of the other doors in the room the assassinated guard had been in. Light had been streaming from under the door. Much to her disappointment, it was just another room, with light pouring in through a window. She was too busy staring at the sky outside to really notice the rest of this particular room. Mesmerizing.

I let the mare look out the window for a bit before smashing it open causing glass to fly outwards. I quickly cleared the glass out of the window and looked out and foutunatly it was small fall down. I suddenly remembered the inhibitor on my horn, "Ma'am can you take this damn inhibitor off my horn it is irritating to have and limits me to just telekinesis."

"Depends on what you call unnecessary." Night said a to himself as he leaped off of the fall. He took a deep breath in before he broke the waters surface and plunged deep. He spun around trying to get a grip on something, but to no avail. He continued to skid on anything he reached for. He felt things moving in slow motion as he made a promise. He would document everything he saw on this island, uncensored. He documented things in his head. 'My name is Nightlife. I'm 25 years old, and I love to party... Club style. Things are better when they get intense. I can't handle my shit though here. I've gotten never gotten closer to death more times than tonight. I've never killed anyone, but I do what I need to survive. I'm getting out of this island, in the name of my father, mother, brother, and future children. I will survive. Welcome to Hell my friends.'

Eve slipped the Inhibitor off of his horn, and struggled with her own for a moment before throwing her own inhibitor aside too. "No need to keep calling me Ma'am," she said cooly. "Evergreen is just fine." If he didn't want to introduce himself, that was fine by her, but  she'd have her name known. And she leapt out of the window, back into the wonderful air, rolling on the mossy ground, it squishing gloriously under her tense shoulders.

I followed after Evergreen, relived that we were finnaly out of the pirates base. But I knew that letting my guard down would be foolish and would get Evergreen and I both killed. That was when it dawned on me I was responsible for both of our lives now and until we got out of here. I did not mind but it was still unusual to me.
