At first I thought it was because if you have the mask on then the older animatronics wont kill you and the other ones would. Then I watched the demo and it seems at though that's not the case. A large amount of facts can be found here to prove that it is a prequel. I agree with the idea that it is a prequel, but what I'm still lost on is who the real killer of the kids is. I'm currently debating between the first security guard and the marionette. Maybe we can help each other out. okay I seem to be the only one who ever noticed this because everyone else doesn't acknowledge it here are the errors I see in this plot we have this restaurant that is suppose to be a better version of the older one but FNAF is in 1993 FNAF 2 is in 1987 meaning the inspired version of the restaurant was made before the original one sold out and isn't the bite of 87 what caused the Freddy Fazbear from FNAF to go out of business not the one from FNAF 2 and the fact we have the older characters from the first game in the second one Phone Guy mentions those are the Animatronics from the original site now we have the characters all withered up and ruined, then in the first game they look perfectly fine.... so how is that explainable? They never said the name of any animatronic. Most people just assumed it was Foxy because he was out of order and he's got the really sharp looking teeth, among some other things. My theory on the Bite of '87 is that the victim was the person (first night guard who was moved to day shifts after you were hired) who stole the costume and kidnapped the kids, and one of the animatronics saw this and the kidnapper's face was registered in the criminal database that is mentioned as well as the new facial recognition technology in the new animatronics. Then, I think one of the animatronics saw the kidnapper at a birthday party (a birthday party is mentioned by Phone Guy in FNAF 2 and then he starts acting worried, and says you shouldn't be there), and bit him. As for who that animatronic was; if this theory is true; we can rule out some of the animatronics. It can't be any of the original animatronics as they weren't in use at the time of FNAF 2 and they didn't have the facial recognition or criminal database technology, and it probably wasn't Mangle as I don't think they wouldn't have brought that out during a birthday party, leaving the animatronic responsible to be either Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, or Toy Freddy. Old Bonnie/Chica: They act similarly to what they did in the first game. They will start off in the "Service/Parts" room, and will make a direct path to the front opening to your office. They wont enter your office from here however, instead they make a bee-line for the air vents (Left for Bonnie, Right for Chica.) They will usually wait until you lower your camera to enter the room, and will appear directly in front of you. You must don the freddy mask immediately, or you will die. Old Freddy/Toy Freddy freddy is a bit tricky. But generally work the same way as Bonnie or Chica, except for he will only enter the office through the front opening. He is much more aggresive on later nights, and will appear in the hallway with Foxy. when he gets into you office don the freddy mask ASAP. Foxy: Foxy will be a frequent visitor to the hallway. If you see him their, remember to flash him with your flashlight a few times as this will slow his attack down. Eventually he will leave the hall. The freddy mask is no good against him. The Mangle: He starts off in kids cove. If you view a room he is in, a weird static sound can be heard. He moves via the ceiling, and can enter the office through the hallway or the right air vent. If you see him in the hall, flash your light at him a few times until he leaves. If you hear the static sound, and hes not in the hallway, hes in the right vent, so don the freddy mask until you cant hear that sound. If he enters your office, he will stick to the ceiling for a while, and will not leave. Unless its 5Am, you are pretty much toast. Balloon Boy: He will not attack you YAY!!... not yay. He moves from room to room, sticking to the left side of the building. If you can start hearing "hi" then he is in your left air vent. Don the freddy mask at this point, until you hear something moving in the vents (he will have left). If he enters your room, your flashlight, and vent lights will fail. He never leaves, and he seems to draw the other animatronics straight into your office. If its 5, put on the freddy mask and try to wait it out (25%ish survival rate), otherwise, your dead. The Puppet: Keep the music box wound, if it runs out, pop goes the weasel plays... if that song finishes, he heads straight for your office and kills you. Golden Freddy: Only found on night six, and seven, this guy is considerably more dangerous than the others. If he appears in the office, don the mask, and he will disappear like a ghost. Well, on the first night, Phone Guy mentions that there was a guy before you, but he complained about the animatronics coming into his office, and he was eventually given the day shift. I think he was the victim. You play as Jeremy Fitzgerald during Nights 1-6, who was the second night guard. As for the custom night, you would be correct. You play as Fritz Smith, who was most likely new, as the note that appears when you beat custom night is "First day on the job?
