It's no different than what most 1st world people do when they hear about the tragedies in 3rd world countries, they don't care, everyone just turns a blind eye to the misery of others out of apathy. I guess I'm not in the "position", I guess you could say, to brand myself one or not. I let people tell me. But in the end, I don't really care, to be brutally honest. What I do care about is how am I going to save my salary up until next month, the Philippine educational system, my students, and my hobby. Given that our country is run by corrupt swines, and all you hear on the news are the typical patriotic news, exposing corrupt officials, murder and killings, theft, homeland terrorism, kidnappings, scandals, its pretty easy to shrug them off as nothing unusual. Internet drama somehow entertains me, though. The whole tumblr feminism and reddit militant atheism thing? Puts my sides into space. And nah, Flutters are for people with mommy/daddy issues.
