Is it true that Infinity Ward split up because of a gun in COD4?

Apparently on the WMG Page of TV Tropes. The reason why Infinity Ward split and Jason West and Vince Zampella founded Respawn, the makers of Titanfall. Is because the M40A3 in Call of Duty 4 was inaccurate. Is it true that it's illegal for a one round at a time reload weapon that is not a shotgun or rocket launcher that was made after WWII in a video game? Apparently Infinity Ward split because Activision bribed the authorities to keep the weapon in the game. Is this true?

The only victim in graffiti is the architect. Graffiti is not a crime.

Not as I know of no it's not illegal for a one round at a time reload weapon made after ww2. It's seems that it would be a falling out to me.

I know little about this myself... but if you are unsure try look more into the topic... myself I am unsure...

Jason West and Vince Zampella were fired by Activi$ion.

Not helping. I'm just saying that were they arguing about a gun?

I'll just wait for a post for now. Since i'll be polite.

TV Tropes isn't entirely accurate. West and Zampella left IW because Activision, the parent company, fired them during Modern Warfare 2's development.

Yes but apparently Activision fired them because of a gun. The official reason states ''Breach of Conduct''.

And is it actually illegal to make single fire reload guns in games that are post WWII?

Upon researching, it was not because of a gun, but because West and Zampella were holding meetings with competing video game publishers, namely EA.

Do you mean bolt-action rifles post world war 2? I am just assuming based on the weapon you used as an example, as it is most certainly not illegal, if that were the case so many games would never see release or get imported unless the weapon was removed, however there are so many games out there that contain these weapons, a law like this has never existed.

After doing the research, I can't find a single instance of such a law. That aside, it seems entirely nonsensical. It's pretty much what Festive said, they were having back-room conversations with competing publishers.

Then like Cracked.Com, can TV Tropes be Crackheads? Because I heard Cracked can be inaccurate and are hypocrites.
