Nintendo Fanboys: Logical points or Hypocrisy?

Yes, console wars are stupid.

I don't understand why everyone can't just let others be. You (not the TC, you know what I mean) can buy each new COD 'rehash', while I'll buy each new Pokemon 'rehash'. Who cares what someone else finds fun?

True dat.

And I actually like COD, rehashed/overrated or not.

I think there is some hypocrisy if you give it a superficial glance. Lately, Nintendo hasn't been the most original in their games and there has been a lot of Mario games recently, but if you look closely it's not THAT bad.

Yeah, there's a few Mario games a year, but they're not the same genre, and they usually have one or two new things, still. Plus each installment in that series is at least a few years apart. That's not nearly as bad as a very similar game every 8-12 months with almost nothing new in general.

I was referencing the people who think the Wii U is on par technically with the Bone and PS4.

Oh, well that's just not true lol. Wii U's just not that powerful, certainly a fact...

Not that it matters 100% of the time, but yeah, that's the truth. Not that a lot of the games don't look good(Nintendo knows how to use what they make to the max), but yeah, there's just some things that Xbone and PS4 can do that Wii U won't match.

I don't get the "console wars," or "pc master race" things. I thought gaming was supposed to be for fun. That's how I always play it.

I didn't buy the next gen consoles the moment they came out, I waited until I saw a game I really want and played on my trusty old PS3 (seriously, it's old. It's not slim and has only 80gb space).

When I saw Bayonetta 2 was coming out and only on Wii U, I began to collect money for the Wii U, and later found out the other cool looking games, like Splatoon and Zelda U. And that it was Wii games compatible. Having only PS consoles in many years, this is my first non-Sony console from… I dunno, N64? Not counting the handhelds I've bought to play Pokemon games.

Recently I found out that many Bayonetta 1 "fans" hated that it was Wii U exclusive and demanded that they port it to the other consoles. Yeah, like that's gonna happen. When I see PlayStation and XBox port exclusive games to each other, I'll eat my cap. And the reason I say fans with quotation marks is because real fans of a franchise follows the franchise, not the console.

I like graphics as much as the next gamer, but I don't like the way movies and games are going nowadays. All dark and gritty. Nearly lost my will to buy new games cuz dark and gritty was all I saw. I'm beginning to like Nintendo because realism is not a requirement for their games. I always take fantasy over realism every time.

I think it's because A lot of other companies don't put out enough family friendly games or cartooney games. I mean Sony has some but not as many as Nintendo. I think cartooney is just the style a lot of Nintendo fans like. I do find non Nintendo games like Skylanders to be innovative.

While I'm a diehard Nintendo fan, the only Mario games I own are the first couple Super Mario Brothers because nostalgia and a couple Mario Kart games. I'm not a fan of the repeated All New New NEW Super Mario Bros. I like Zelda, Metroid and other Nintendo characters. I'll also not slam the other consoles though. If I had the money, I'd probably go buy a One for Halo because it's fun. But I don't like Call of Duty or New Super Mario Bros. because I can't tell the difference between them. If I'm looking at gameplay footage and they don't tell me which one it is, I don't know. And that's why I like Zelda and Metroid. Oh, that's Twilight Princess, the style is different from Skyward Sword/Oh, that's Other M, the style is different from Prime. I don't even mind Assasin's Creed, because it's visibly different every time: Revolution, Pirates, London

When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move,
your job is to plant yourself like a tree next to the river of truth, and tell the whole world
"No, you move."
