Ryzu 984 January 3, 2015 Share January 3, 2015 So I just finished Kaichou Wa Maid Sama, which is probably one of my favorite animes now, and I want more shoujo equal to or better than it. (I am obsessed with shoujo) So what are your personal favorite shoujo? I honestly could care less about ratings in the anime world because people are so judgmental, so I just want this to be personal. Some of my favorite anime are widely hated on for reasons I can't understand. Every anime at least deserves a chance. So what's your favorite Shoujo(s)? 3 And I won't allow you to blind those who are important to me! Looking for some friends to chat with? Join The Party Pony Plaza! Click Here! Show me who I am HERE. Discordian 6,021 January 3, 2015 Share January 3, 2015 Don't know if there's an anime for it or if it's just a manga but Hana Kimi has always been one of my favorites. A highschool girl has a massive crush on a guy who's the upcoming Olympic High Jump star. So huge that she moves to his city and gets into his school. His all boys school. Yeah, she disguises herself as a guy just to get close to him and be friends. He finds out pretty early on that she's a girl but knows she's trying to keep it secret. This leads to many hijinx between the two of them and their group of friends.

And honestly I don't really care whether or not it's animated, it's still shoujo. :3 2 And I won't allow you to blind those who are important to me! Looking for some friends to chat with? takai 1,060 January 3, 2015 Share January 3, 2015 (edited) I don't have any favorites, but if you're looking for recommendations, I'd throw out Sailor Moon, since that's like the definitive shoujo. And Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun. Even thought Nozaki-Kun isn't technically a shoujo, it's mainly a comedy. But the art looks very similar to one, same with the "romance" it has. Plus the main guy actually writes shoujo manga, hence the name of the show. I also heard Fruits Basket is a very good one too. EDIT: Actually, here. Click this link, it lists every anime in the Shoujo genre that's in the database of the website. MyAnimeList generally has every single anime ever made, so this should help you out immensely. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?genre[0]=25&q=&tag=&sy=0&sm=0&sd=0&ey=0&em=0&ed=0&c[0]=a&c[1]=b&c[2]=c&show=0 Edited January 3, 2015 by takai
Discordian 6,021 January 3, 2015 Share January 3, 2015 Some people only watch anime, some only read manga. Just makin' sure. I know of another series but I'm honestly not sure if it's shoujo or ecchi. Maybe both. The series is basically a collection of romance stories. No character shows up more than once as far as I remember. The thing is that it can seem a bit male-oriented with some of its fanservice in spite of its mushy stories. Maybe they were trying to appeal to both. Give it a shot if you care to. I know I liked it. It's called Boys:Be. Ah My Goddess is always one I'll recommend. Not really a shoujo but a pretty good romantic comedy (more romance than comedy usually). I know this topic is about shoujo anime but it never hurts to talk about similar anime/genres, yeah?
Virgil 686 January 3, 2015 Share January 3, 2015 I would recommend 'Skip Beat!' and 'Princess Tutu'. The first is a pretty accessible romantic comedy about a girl who wants to get into showbiz.... to get revenge on her ex-boyfriend. The latter, is a magical girl anime, although the magical fights aren't so much fights but magical ballet competitions; and it has an incredibly deceptively simple looking yet rich plots in an anime series. 1 I know there's a place you walkedWhere love falls from the treesMy heart is like a broken cupI only feel right on my knees.I spit out like a sewer holeYet still receive your kissHow can I measure up to anyone nowAfter such a love as this? Ryzu 984 January 3, 2015 Author Share January 3, 2015 Forgot to mention that I am open to ALL Shoujo, including lesbian and gay ones. It's still cute to watch even if it's not my sexuality. As willing as I am to watch these they need to be clean. Like kissing and stuff is fine, but nothing more than that if you get what I'm saying. I'm watching these for entertainment, but not THAT kind of entertainment. And I won't allow you to blind those who are important to me! Looking for some friends to chat with? cuteycindyhoney 13,339 January 3, 2015 Share January 3, 2015 "Saint Tail" and "Cardcaptor Sakura" are two of my all time favorite anime titles. They're both examples of Shoujo at it's finest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZppUBAPT9w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDBSV8DL1lU 1 Thank you Sparklefan1234!!!
