Charles sipped down the rest of his drink to the pass the time. Eventually he noticed Sam go home and leave the bar. With everything seemingly running smoothly at the table he decided to go to the bar. "Gonna get a bit of a refill mates" He said as he got up. Charles wasn't someone who liked to have alcohol at all really. He liked the taste of it, however it's effect on his aim always caused him to stray away. But since he wasn't on any job right now he figured today was an exception.

He walked over to the bar and sat down. "G'day mate." He opened up as he sat down. Few people seemed to be at the bar besides him and the bartender Tally which he was thankful for. "I don't suppose you could make me some sort of Absinthe cocktail?" He asked. "If I haven't lost all my money at blackjack I guess that puts me in the 'sad saps who have personal problems' category eh?" He added.

"The easiest Absinthe drink I can make you is called an Absinthe Drip, which is really just absinthe with sugar water. I also can make an absinthe drink with egg-whites, if you are willing to try something more daring." Tally explained. Tally smirked at the small joke he made. "You said it, man. Not me."

"I'll go with option two mate. I'm always willing to try something more daring." He replied before pausing. "I suppose I did. And while most people get the impression I'm a pretty upbeat guy with thick skin I would be bloody lying if I ever claimed to have no personal problems." He explained to pass time while he waited for his drink.

"For instance." Charles started as he pulled out his phone and began to run through a list. "With the rule that parents don't count, despite all the contacts I have on my phone, I don't have a single person who would ever give me a call just to see how I'm doing. If I were to just... die tomorrow it wouldn't really effect anybody but the person who has to find a replacement for me. For a person who spends all his time chasing people all over four counties, the fact that there is someone out there that cares is something I put high up on my list of wants." He explained with a rather casual tone.

"In the past this hasn't really been a problem. But once I began to have people who think that way about me and give me a ring every once in a while I knew what I had been missing. Which is naturally why I began to miss it when those people always found their ways of." Charles paused and looked up to Tally and away from his phone. "No longer being able to." He finished and put away his phone. "So sometimes I begin to wonder. Even though my job feels right to me it hasn't been without some big downsides. Would I choose the path of adventure again that brought me right here at this bar knowing that? Or would I be better off ignorant, even jobless, roaming the Australian countryside and wrestling crocodiles and kickboxing with kangaroos to pass the time?" He concluded with a laugh.

Tally paused, and put her index finger to her chin, in an expression of thought. "I think you are in good company, then." Tally began to mix a drink known as an Absinthe Suissesse, which was absinthe mixed with almond syrup, egg-whites, and milk. After Tally set the drink down in front of Charles she pointed her finger at Masun who was sitting with now only Franky and Auria. "Let's just ignore Masun for right now." Tally switched her finger pointing to Auria and then dropped her hand to her side. "I don't know what your comrade's name is, there. Nor do I know what makes her, 'special'. But, if there is one thing I am good at, it is knowing when someone is a social outcast. In her eyes, I can see that she has no one but herself, maybe she had some parents at some point, and she probably still does, but in the position she is in, she probably doesn't have very much contact with them. It is obvious that, this team she is in, is the first thing she has been a part of." She lifted her hand and pointed at Franky next, and dropped her hand back to her side. "I have never seen someone more out of place, and lost. I doubt he has had much contact with anyone during his lifetime, however long that might be." Tally began to wipe off the counters again. "I could be completely wrong about those people, but my intuition is normally on point. But since I don't know for sure if I am right or not, let's talk about Masun" Tally paused. "He has lived here for eight years. Even though I wasn't a bartender until recently, I have lived her most of my life, and I did notice Masun. Sure, every so often he would have an escort come up to his room, but other than that, he never talked to anyone unless he had to. I now know he is much more broken than I expected, but I did have my suspicions before I slipped up bringing the drinks to the table. I know that Masun has no one he calls friend, any more. The saddest part is, I am sure he used to have a few people he called friend at one point or another. But that was probably long ago." Tally explained.

Charles picked up his drink and took a sip. He gave a grin and a thumbs up. It kinda looked like something he'd order at a coffee shop due to the milky appearance of it. And his love of stuff like that made it a pretty good match for him. "Now I know why Masun spends to much time here." He said with a chuckle before listening to Tally. He spun his chair around, catching a view of the group before the seat did a full three-sixty. Now facing Tally again he replied. "I see your point mate." He started. "But." He added as he took another sip. "Would you like to know the one thing I both off the top of my head fear and hate the most?" He asked rhetorically. "Agendas."

He knew the statement was pretty vague so he explained it further. "Or more specifically, people with agendas. More specifically beyond that, people who no matter what you say as a acquaintance, friend, or lover, will religiously and unconditionally hold fast to their mission or goals. People like that aren't safe to be around and you want to distance yourself as far as possible from them, and I know that from experience." He explained. "Just because someone cares about you doesn't always make you more important that their agenda."

"...So, while it may be a paranoid way to look at things, it is also a safe way to look at things. And my concern is whether or not anyone I'm currently in the company of is one of those kinds of people." He finished.

"Well, whether or not there are those within your unit that have such convictions is not something I can tell you. But I can tell you, the same wall you put up to protect yourself from being hurt, while it might not be for the same reason, everyone in your unit has also put it up. It isn't that they are incapable of making friends, it is that they have refused, and probably will continue to refuse closeness of any kind." Tally replied.

Charles gave a chuckle as he took another sip. "Well it seems we're all at an impasse if that's the case." He said before downing the rest of the drink. "Might as well have a go at it then and hope for the best. While these situations have been easily some of the worst points of my life in the end. They have also been the most entertaining." He finished with a smile.

He kept his voice low. "So as a bloke with talents like you have, what's your stance or knowledge on bringin' people back to life?" He asked.

You could say that Auria dislikes alcoholic drinks to quite an extent. It just doesn't make sense to her why someone would drink something that tastes so bad, at least that's what she thinks about alcohol in general. "Hey Masun, do you think I could get a mocktail or something that isn't alcoholic around here?" She asked.

"I'll let you in on a little secret. There is no real way to bring someone back from the dead without divine powers. My skills don't actually bring people back from the dead." Tally paused to think how to phrase her next sentence. She widened her eyes in an expression of enlightenment, and then grabbed a pint glass. She filled it up with water. "So let's say the pint glass represents a body, and the water represents the mind or soul. Whatever you want to call it. When someone dies..." Tally poured the pint down a small drain that surrounded the bar on her side, which is meant to collect drinks if they are spilled.. "the body is empty, it isn't being controlled." She continued. Tally pulled out a large pitcher meant to hold a large amount of liquid so if a party of people arrived, they could agree on a draft and fill the pitcher up for their whole table. "Now this pitcher represents a Necromancer" She filled up the pitcher, the pint glass was still on the bar. "When i activate my skill, I pour a bit of myself into the empty vessels" She poured a bit of the pitcher into the pint until the pint is full. "Depending on how... fresh the vessel is, I can use all the abilities the vessel has. If the vessel is too decomposed, then I just have a bunch of animated bones that don't do much but freak people out. And after the skill is done." She poured the pint back into the pitcher "my spirit energy comes back to me. That make sense?" Tally asked

"There are all sorts of drinks here. you can get anything from a soda to a milkshake." Masun looked at Auria's expression and laughed. "Just so you know, people don't drink alcohol for the taste, they drink it to get drunk."

"Yeah mate, it makes sense. Now that I think about it I've met a guy who could do something like that before" He said with a chuckle. "However that doesn't make it any less of a disappointing answer. How am I ever gonna meet Steve Irwin now?" He asked. "Why can't things just be easy." He added before stretching out his arms with a yawn. "You got anything with scotch or whiskey?" He asked.

Tally raised an eyebrow.
"No, we don't have anything with scotch or whiskey, here. I'm afraid absinthe is the only alcohol we serve. But seriously, maybe you can narrow that down for me?" Tally replied with as much sarcasm as a tone of voice could possible carry.

Charles looked up with a chuckle. At this point he had started to feel a little buzz from the first two drinks. "Of course, how could I be so foolish mate. I know all the drinks that's why I asked about the Absinthe the first time. You know I know, but you're just testing my drink knowledge. But I am the drink master, master of drinks. Just gimme a second to remember all the drink lingo mate." He replied with an equal amount of sarcasm. "Two glasses, rack em! Fuck the bottles and fuck the oranges! Waxlips! Stupid! Wake up the monkey and show em' a dollar! Shave my back and slap my sister! ...And a Blood and Sand cocktail!" He said humorously, awaiting a response.

Tally poured together the necissary ingredients for a blood and sand cocktail in a highball glass, and slid the orange looking drink to the Australian. "You were literally asking me to list off drinks that have scotch and/or whiskey in them, which number in the thousands. Don't be a smartass"

Charles took a sip with a satisfied smirk. "Indeed I did, but not quite. I never said to literally name off all the drinks. You could of just named three popular ones to help a mate out." He replied and then took another sip. "So what now?" He asked, not sure what to do next.

Tally cracked open a bottle of water and took a drink, and then placed it under the bar. "I don't know, but I guess I do have a question to ask you. What 'special skill' do you possess? I don't see any traits that tip me off as to what you can 'do'" Tally replied, taking a sip of a water bottle she had under the bar.

"Good question mate." Charles said as he took another sip of his drink. He made sure his tone was rather quiet so nobody else could hear. "The main reason I don't show any traits of what my special skill might be is because I don't actually have a special skill." He said. "But with that being said, that doesn't mean I have no skills. I'm a sniper, a gunslinger, a hunter, a weapons expert, ammunition expert, explosives expert, I can track, trap, or hunt almost anything, including those blokes with the special skills. And I'm a great survivalist and navigator." He explained. "I like investigating things too, that always passes the time well." He added.

Auria didn't really understand why people like to get drunk, especially in a casino. "Milkshake sounds nice.." She thought aloud before looking at Masun and said "I guess I'll have a strawberry milkshake, that is if you don't mind me ordering another drink." Auria said.

Franky got up to eat for the twentieth time and came back to eat once more at the table. It seemed that the others had left, so Franky ate quietly waiting for Charles to finish his business. Franky didn't mind because he enjoyed eating so much. Chuckling to himself Franky sat eating.

"Well, you would still be classified on the oddity chart, under Full-Human oddity. You possess occult knowledge, as in the different strengths and weaknesses of different occult races." Tally whispered "So you still are 'special'" She said out loud.

Masun finished his drink and got up to go get another round. Going up to the bar, he leaned over it, next to where Charles was sitting, and asked, "Can I get a Mojito and a strawberry milkshake"

"Sure, but you are paying for these ones. Tally said.

Masun put his debit card down in front of Tally. "Keep the card here, I am sure I will be ordering more tonight"

Masun went back to the table with the drinks Tally had just made and set the milkshake down in front of Auria. "Well I was going to speak more about the Hunters, I suppose I still can, I mean Sam already knows about them, so if I can reign in Charles back to this table we can begin"

Charles thought for a minute before replying quietly. "I suppose that's a fair statement mate, however I only have the knowledge and the equipment, I can't cast any spells or anything like what you can do. I believe there is a difference between knowledge of the occult and practicing occult like teachings. An 'oddity' without any powers isn't much of one now is it?" He replied with a chuckle and then noticed Masun. Finished with all of his drinks, Charles got up and pulled out his wallet after Masun returned back to the table. He wasn't sure how much drinks costed these days, so he got out a fifty dollar bill and put it on the table. "Well it was a pleasure talkin' mate, but I'm gonna sod off before I get too boozed up." He ended before giving a small wave and walking back to the table.

Charles sat back down, catching the end of Masun's last sentence. "Reigned in and ready to ride." He commented.

"T-Thanks." Auria starts sipping on the milkshake as she glanced at Charles when he was heading towards the table. "So.. What about these Hunters you speak of, Masun?" She asked with a confused look. "Are we in any danger?" Auria added onto her previous question before taking another sip of the strawberry milkshake.

"If you take a look around, you can see that a lot of these gamblers at this casino are wearing similar looking black leather jackets, some of them aren't wearing the jackets but they have a similar sinister look to them that a lot of the others do. Well, these people are all part of The Hunters gang. A gang of normal people who hunt oddities. They are well versed in the occult and the weaknesses of the occult, like Charles here. And it is quite ironic when you think about it, because by slandered classification, The Hunters are oddities too, simply because the posses the knowledge of the occult weaknesses. Though, they are slightly more normal than someone like Charles. For instance, they don't know about the AREA systems. If they did, they would probably try to wage war on it, and it wouldn't end well. They basically only know of surface level occult material. Which is why they tend to only hunt witches, vampires, lycans, and the like. The only thing I am wondering at the moment, is why they are here. That's the only answer that I do not have. It would be fine if it was just a few passing through, but it seems the majority of their gang are staying here in Las Vegas for some reason." Masun explained as he sipped his mojito.

Auria looked at the men Masun was talking about. "Can't we just interrogate any one of the Hunters and make them spill the beans?" She asked Masun. "If one of us can lure them to a spot where no one is around, maybe we can find out why they're here." She suggested to Masun. Even though her plan was quite impractical and risky to some extent, she thought she'd share her thoughts anyway since the team was quite capable.

"The problem with any sort of interaction between us and them, is that they will find out that us oddities are here, and that would give them an extra reason to stay, for even longer. If we interrogate them, they can go back and tell their boss that we interrogated them. If we interrogate and kill one of them, their subordinates will find out one of their own is missing and then report it to their boss. All of this will eventually lead to even more of a problem. No, I say we leave them be, eventually they will move on. I had to use normal human strength and reflexes to take out the thugs that were beating Tally. I don't think they were suspicious of me.." Masun replied.

"Can't Sam brainwash them afterwards? She's all about magic, right? Memory manipulation shouldn't be a problem for her." Auria replied to Masun. She didn't know what Sam was capable of, but she believed that it shouldn't be too hard for her to get pull off. "Where's Sam anyway?"
