I dont see why not. The cutie mark (to me anyhoof) shows what they are good at and will excel in. It wouldn't limit them to ONLY one thing for life.

I would assume so.  I don't think you would just be stuck with one talent.  Your cutie mark is probably just what you're meant to do/best at doing.

Of course, they totally can.  For example, while Rainbow Dash's cutie mark is about her love of racing and being a dare-devil, she is an enormous fan girl of the daring doo books.

I don't remember where, but I read somewhere that Twilights cutie mark represents that she's a big star among her friends (what with the whole alicorn princess thing).  Notice that it's a really big purple star (the same color as Twilight herself) surrounded by five smaller stars (her friends).
