technology Any good video software?

Me and a couple friends have decided to build a small gaming group, much like Yogscast or TfTools/Toolbox. I would absolutely love to record some of our online shenanigans, but I need to find a good video software beforehand. I also have no real experience with video software, but learn fairly quickly.

Is there any software that you can suggest for videogame recordings? Preferably free, of course, but I'm personally will to throw some change at a good program.

Ah, video game recording... fun stuff, but complicated if you want to do live streaming.

If you want to do live-streaming or recording these are your best options:

-XSplit Broadcaster

-Open Broadcaster Software

Xsplit(Free Version)

720p streaming, 900p streaming with watermark, 1080p recording with monthly fee

10 second "nag screen" (no biggie)

1 webcam support

Multiple window/monitor capture support

External video/audio support

Chroma key for external video and webcam

URL support

Limited features can get annoying sometimes

Can be resource-intensive

OBS

100% free

1080p streaming and recording

Multiple webcam support

Multiple window/monitor capture support

No chroma key for external video

Chroma key for webcam and pictures

External video/audio support

URL Support

Growing list of plugins and community support

Lightweight

You've also got FFSplit, but it's rather new, but doesn't have a lot of features yet

I recommend that you install VoiceMeeter for rerouting audio, such as music, skype and all that jazz. You'll also need to install VB Audio Cable, and the additional "A" and "B" cables may be of interest. They do ask for a donation of more than $0.00 for the additional cables, but if you don't want to give them a donation, then just visit here. But show them some kindness, and donate something.

PM me, or whatever you want to do if you've got more questions!

Best,

Krenton

@,

Danke ve for the programs. Once our household desktop is back to working condition (undergoing a total restore right now), I'll be sure to check out all these programs. Hopefully they don't cause as much lag as my earlier attempts :P

Du er velkommen!

Make sure to tinker with the video settings, as they will help improve/decrease performance with lag and CPU usage.

.... or you could use the free alternative, Lightworks, which has been used in movies.

...and if you wanna be fancy... make some basic animations, such as my profile pic using Powerpoint.

Forgot to add that those YouTube videos work well with XSplit as well, you'll just need to dig around the settings to find the options(but that won't be hard).
