I don't know how other people do it, but the way I do is that I insert a link as normal with the "Link" button

http://mlpforums.com/

And then I go and edit it through the BBCode Mode so you get something that looks like this (without the spaces)

[ url=http://mlpforums.com/ ] http://mlpforums.com/ [ /url]

Then you just switch out the middle pink bit with whatever you want, and it ends up looking like this!

MAGIC!

You change the colour just like you normally would :P

You mean how to add a link to text?

Just type whatever you want the link to look like (in your example, 'my OC') and highlight that text. Then, click on the link icon above your post (looks like a chain with a green plus in the corner, just under the 'Size' selection) and you'll be asked to enter a URL. Do it, and the link should work when you click on the text. :)

The code used for creating links uses the following format (but without spaces):

[ url = *insert url here* ] *insert desired text here [ / url ]

Say you wanted to create a link to your profile page. That would look like this (but without spaces):

[ url = http://mlpforums.com/user/30638-rosemary ] Here is a link to your profile. [ / url ]

If done correctly, you should get something like this:

Here is a link to your profile.

Hope this helped!

You put the webpage URL in brackets, then the actual text to display. Like this:

[url=http://mlpforums.com/user/24483-regulus/]My Profile[/url]
Which displays as this:

My Profile

the above thoroughly addressed your question as confirmed by you. :)

Closing this out.
