movies/tv Cartoon Networks characters in Live Action Environments. Thoughts?

Do you remember the days when Cartoon Network had their characters live in live action / CGI environments a.k.a Toon Town?

 

 

It looked friggin' awesome! What do you think?

It was fun seeing all of the characters interact together in one world(my favorite bumper will always be the one where Scooby Doo's Fred challenged Megas XLR's Coop and Jamie, probably trying to impress Daphnie)

 

Granted they probably used real life environments because it was cheaper, but the appeal, again, was seeing all of the characters interacting with each other rather than the environment they interacted on. I'm pretty sure such a concept of animated characters interacting in a live-action environment would be mixed at best(Gumball is a good example of this)
