What do you think about India?

I am Indian and have been to India on three occasions, only remember certain aspects of the last two visits.  From what I have experienced, observed, and heard from my brother who is going to medical school there, their healthcare is quite bad so make sure to get proper vaccinations and drink ONLY bottled water there.  The police there I have heard can easily be bribed and the country, to me at least does not appear to be safe.  If you are going to travel there, make sure to be careful, and don't use Uber there.  To elaborate on the bad healthcare aspect, last two times I went there I got terribly sick, mind you I stayed in a state capital, Ranchi, not New Delhi the whole time.  From what I have heard from my older brother who is going to medical school there, the students don't use gloves normally and you are considered a clean freak if you do, and they don't have wheelchairs or crutches.  The cuisine though, is something else entirely, IMO it is quite good overall.

I would not recommend going there, if you are, take necessary precautions before going there

I think India has a rich culture and history but it still has some way

to go but its slowly I think going to become a nation that stands out

in the coming years.  Like all nations/super powers it does have some

work to do inside!

- India is the world's largest democracy, and it's one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world.

Both bad things. Democracy and cultural diversity. India's history supports my negative viewpoint on the latter, particularly.

Do you want me to be only positive? Because I love Indian food and some inspirational quotes.

Do you want negative things too? Because the cultural displacement going on is something I'd say first

To each their own
