Plonkett 345 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 Do you think it would be a good idea for IDW to make MLP graphic novels? Their stories could be bigger in scope than the comics.
Lisa 5,553 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 There's a difference between graphic novels and comics? I thought "graphic novel" was just the technical term for comics. ;p
SomeRetroGeek 110 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 A graphic novel is a collection of comics together to create a full story. He looks at modern stuff too if your curious! Huge thanks to DanishToenails for my profile picture!

And to the other comments, there is a difference between the two that is similar to a novel and a serial. Smile and Drama are GN's, but Walking Dead volume 1 is a collection of several issues that contain an arc (or several arcs). When ploting a story in a multi issue comic, pacince is set differently. When you have stricter pacing requirement you are unable take your time in various stages of structure.
CC_Maud_Pie 6,431 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 Sure! I wouldn't mind reading a MLP graphic novel. I'll also understand it well since I'm familiar with the show. All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people. Po-Nonimous 583 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 Good news! There's already at least one MLP Graphic Novel: "Friends Forever", which is a comic style ten part serialized series which is a much more in-depth and detailed look into the relationships of the Ponies of Ponyville. 1 "Theological debates are great for intellectual children since they require absolutely no facts!" - Mary Hawking, older sister of Stepehen Hawking. Tao 7,584 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 I love graphic novels but I also love my manga and I think a good mlp graphic novel would only add to the whole of mlp and explore stories they might not be able to do in the show in the long term of things! Raini Skies 78 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 Well, there's a manga somewhere out there, but I'm not sure if it's been translated to English yet.

So far I've only read up to the last of the character pages and am into the short stories.
