The construction manager was approached by one of the overseers.

1 Giant floating platform, it was produced on the orders of the army board for a unknown reason. It now resides in the millitary port of Danzhoof, for some reasons, thousands of those have been ordered. Yet their construction has barely strated

ALUMINIUM! This new metal was incredible, it could be molded with so much ease while it weighed less than many other metals. The new flying machine prototype was a mono-plane. A driver was to control the machine from a cabin, encased in hardened glass. On the front of the machine, a propeller would be spun by the compressed air mechasim. The army had overwritten the project and fitted a experimental contraption on board to weaponise it, it would be meant to protect from the incoming flying hoards. Due to this massive increase in weight, the flying time has been drastically reduced, but with the help of a pump, the pilot could help 'refuel' in mid air. The national transit company also showed huge interest in the project but the army cut them off until they're design would be completed.

Small boats that were meant to fllow Abersterns ships were stopped by a huge storm that coverd the entire coast. Stories of flyers controling weather were no stranger in the history books. A full fortification of the ENTIRE coast was ordered. A project on such scale would take a lot of time and cost tremendously huge amounts of money. Conscripted recruits would be used to replace the labour, thus substracting the thousands of salaries workers would have to be payed, almost an entire mountain would be dug out in order to provide materials and tonnes and tonnes of concrete had to be used. Factories were overtaken by the army and forced to produce construction materials.

The center was bustling, tall building were cramped together displaying thhe wonderful POnssian architecture. Most of the shops placed on the ground floor were all electrically lightened and so were the streets.

"His majesty has been proclaimed emperor. Our nation stretches so large that we are now an Empire!"

Peaceful solution smiled. "Ah, are you speaking of your conquest of Cidonia, yes? I'll have to congratulate your new emperor in person!" Suddenly, the diplomat frowned. "However, I'll understand if your emperor is too busy celebrating his nation's good fortune to meet with us. It would be no trouble at all to wait until the festivities died down."

 

"Alright then. There is nothing else I guess I could ask from you. We have all set... If you don't have anything to add or request? if you don't, then I suppose you would be ready to leave? I am not busy or anything but... I suppose both of our countries put things in order.2

"Oh we of course love our Glorious Leader! I mean we wouldn't be where we are now without him!" the captain said nervously loud. He then whispered quietly, "I've heard of many that disapprove of our leader. This fortress is surrounded by who knows how many guards, and barely anypony will actually see him. It's also rumored that there are spies everywhere, can never be too careful." 

 

As the group reached the other side of the bridge, the doorway opened into a grand atrium with a Gothic interior. A grand stairwell dominated the wall opposite of their location, and guards were directing them to it. 

 

"To the left, captain, The Supreme Leader awaits you." The guard said to the group.

"I personally wouldn't know why there are here, I have no idea what the Supreme Leader plans for the day. Nonetheless, we must go on, the guard will escort us to the meeting chamber." 

 

The group then progressed across the bridge, to the grand atrium, seeing the same group ahead of them going towards the left on the grand staircase. The guard escorting them says, "The Supreme Leader awaits you on the right up the staircase."

Why must these mines erupt into revolt? Doesn't everypony love our Glorious Leader? One of the pegasus scouts thought as he surveyed the mine from above. He and his fellow comrade were tasked by their commander to survey the northern potion of the mine. "Hey Thunderbolt! It looks like they are building traps down there. We better head back and report our findings!"

 

Before Thunderbolt could reply, a shot rang out through the air and struck him. The pegasus scout watched in horror as his friend fell out of the sky right into the enemy's camp. More shots rang out as more scouts were shot down by the limited gunfire from below. He does manage to dodge the small amount of fire directed at him as he began to head back to base.

As the pegasi took minor losses, the scouts began to head back to their commanders to report their findings. The generals looked over the reports and began to formulate their strategy. The main battle plan they came up with was to attack en masse with the regulars and conscripts. If the rebels manage to retreat into the mines, demolition charges were prepared to blow the entrances and exits to the mines to lock them in. The mines will be down for a few months, but it will be worth it in the long run for keeping the other mines in line.

The captain straightened his uniform. As the doors opened he imidiately took of his at and bowed, without looking at the pony who he was suposed to meet.

The extremely advanced breech loading system on the guards rifles could easily be applied to cannons. The breech would have to be hardened and the cannon could now fire more explosive charges. Te entire armory was to be refitted as soon as possible.

I'm glad our two nations could come together in friendship." He trotted over to the door of the room. "I'll be going back to my nation to see that all the terms of our side of the agreement are met, unless you have any other need for me."

The carriage made for the imperial palace. It soon reached the magnificent structure (just imagine Versailles) with its huge gardens and beautiful architecture. As they reach the main gate, a heavy guard could be seen around the building. After entering the building (im not wasting time describing that cuz theres too much XD... Just google versailles)

They got in front of a massive decorated door.

"This is the royal throne room. It is accustomed that you bow twice, once when you enter the room, and once when you stop in front of his majesty. The doors slowly opened.

@@Derplight Sperkle, Six miners under the cover of fire went and retrieved the wounded pegasus. He awoke, bound and with a burlap sack over his head. He was in a dimly lit chamber, deep within one of the mine shafts. There were two ponies by the only exit with pickaxes, three more talking quietly to each other, and another pouring a powder and mixing it in water in a bowl. There was also a table, a few benches and crates, along with the sources of light, two low burning lanterns. The one mixing came over and lifted the sack from the pegasus's head before moving over to his torso. "You got lucky." he said. "That ball would have torn out the bottom of your right lung if it hadn't hit just right on one of your ribs." He brought over the mixture and sarcastically said, "Thanks to our generous supreme leader, we don't have any anesthetic, so this will probably hurt. Don't worry, this stuff's just a homemade salve, my wife's recipe, should stop the bleeding and if you're even more lucky it won't catch an infection." He began to apply it over the wound. "Now don't move too much or you might risk puncturing your lung with your own rib. Unfortunately we haven't anything to handle more than basic wounds, and even that mostly comes from what we bring in ourselves." He stepped back and an older stallion from the group of three stepped forward. He was obviously older than the rest and seemed to have a sense of leadership about him. What couldn't be told was whether he was a lot older, or just older and worn down from years of hard labor. "Good, you're awake. We know that the rest of your forces aren't too far off. I'm sure that they're just over a ridge somewhere in overwhelming numbers. So with you here and all, how about you tell us what you're all planning to do, and we'll let you go afterwards."

Then i'll have to go north and west cities, as I have things to do there." Blue Crystal said as he stand up and out from his chair and walk to the exit door awaiting Silver Gleam.

As he had no actual bed he just sat down on his chair, made a huge pile of paperwork on his desk and  just fell asleep. Whatever he would be forced to do tomorrow... he was sure it would require his total attention and energy...

The duke was awoken with a flash, a camera was propped up in front of his desk, the queen laughed "Got ya! This will be a nice addition my photograph collection!" behind here were Hommit and Claria, they looked bored, Hommit rolled his eyes, the queen continued "Your steed thing has been prepared come along now lets get going" Claria sighed "My gracious and most humble queen, what do you hope to accomplish there?" the queen started to leave the room "Ill find out when I get there!"

The duke wasnt used o this kind of waking up and sleep. Back home he had an entire mansion... here... a desk. as he stood up is back crackled.

"Imidiately, your majesty."

He put on his plumed hat and followed the group outside where the mounts were waitng. He got on his, again meaning he was higher up than any of the others in the group. He decided to not call any guards on hgim this time. "Where would they go now?" he wondered

The team mounted up and traveled to Hoofsberg, however once they arrived, Salazaria looked up at the city, then the thick black clouds "Oh this wont do at all" Hommit spoke up "My glorious and wise queen, Ive been informed by the regent of  this city that we do not have authority here, and that its out of our jurisdiction" The queen scoffed "Well they havent met me, now have they" they entered the city

The streets were busy as usual, trams and ponies rushing on their daily buisness. The tightly packed two or three-story houses sided the streets, while a thin sidewalk allowed pedestians to walk. Once again, the manticores caused a lot of trouble as they occupied two lanes, a giant column of carriages forming behind them. Some police officers were called to redirect the traffic on an alternative route.

 

The duke asked the queen,

"May I have the privilage to know what is wrong? Yoor majesty.."

The queen took a minute to look around "All of this" she said simply pointing her arm out and waving it, Hommit interjected "My glorious queen you are pointing and everything" The queen sighed "Yes i am Hommit, good on you for recognizing that, Ill reward you upon returning to the palace. But yes this whole everything is wrong. I especially despise those clouds, you can hardly see the sun!"

"Get a move on!" one of the coach drivers behind them yelled

The queen grinned "excuse me for a moment..." She turned her manticore around and made it roar at coach behind them, she glared at them, her elaborate ceremonial headdress dully glowing in the light, with that ontop of her manticore which was in battle position made for a very intimidating sight "YOU DARE MAKE DEMANDS OF THE QUEEN?!? GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON WHY I SHOULDNT FLATTEN YOUR PATHETIC CARRIAGE WITH A SINGLE SWIPE OF THIS MIGHTY BEASTS PAW!!" Hommit and Claria backed their manticores away, afraid of what would happen, hommit looked at the duke "id back up if I were you, bad things happen when the queens temper is lost"

The roar attracted the poilce, as this was now seen as a threat to public security. They gesture franatically and a blue carriage  quickly made its way. About 10 police officers got out of it armed with nets, batons and other blunt weapons. A bottle of chloroform was imidiately thrown in the beast face, causing it to pass out. A officer quickly approached,

"We are sorry to inform you, this... animal is now confiscated for disturbing public peace and security. You can retrieve it from the nearby vconpound after getting a notice from the admition."

Ropes were tied around the body of the sleeping animal as it was slowly pulled on the cart.
