"We could use most of those things. We're pretty low on raw materials, so that would be a very good deal." He took another drink from his glass and placed it back on the table. "Now to show my hand, so to speak." He chucked. "Because we can't really afford to shear what materials we have, the main thing we can shear is labor. What we lack in military strength we make up for in skill in many fields. Farming, mining, construction you name it.  

 

We also have a few veterans that I know for sure are the strongest in Quinacta. So some might not mind being guards or even trainers if you're feeling your troops could use a little more fighting skill under their belts.  Cause like I said, skill in many fields."

 

After picking up his glass again he leaned back in his chair. "We also have a rather keen knowledge when it comes to money and trade, so I wont have a doubt that we can all end up with a pretty bit in each of our treasuries. The reason why I'm willing to shear this with you both is because I really think we can help one each other and build a friendship between our nations.  

 

But of course, friendships are give and take.  So in return for my well skilled man power, we would like set up trade routs. From there we can buy and sell many things, raw materials being one of them.

The diplomats were glued to the portholes, watching the land beneath them fly past with a look of wonder on their faces. It was one thing to hear about a flying ship, but it was another thing entirely to experience it first hoof. Still, they were trained professionals, and they quickly got ahold of themselves. They replaced their looks of wonder with looks of mild curiosity, and took their seats. Peaceful Solution tried to use his magical senses to discover the magical enchantment that powered the flying ship, but to no avail. He reasoned that the enchantments had been hidden, to keep them secret.

 

Silver Gleam merely smiled, and removed the silly hat that had been concealing his horn. "I myself am a Unicorn, and many of the ponies in my nation are also unicorns."

Blue Crystal has once again returned to stare out of his window, but as he heard that door was opened, he turned around to stare the comers.

Mean while the new sub had steadilly made its way to the southern sea, staying in view of the coast so as not to get lost in uncharted waters. It soon came to the end of the line of Pegasonian ships surrounding what had been the southern part of the Dominion of Katrin, and past the end of the Raging River. Strange ships that definetly weren't of Pegasonian origin were sighted. Wanting to find out more without losing his hidden status, the captain turned around and went up the River a small ways till it came across one of its own ships patrolling it. The captain of the submarine explained what he wanted, and they waited till another one of its own ships came about so word could be reported back as to where it would be redirected.

@Skullbuster, The submarine waited in the river while the ship was sent to investigate. Upon site, it fired a single cannon to signal that it was in the viscinity. it raised a white flag beneath that of its nation to show that it meant no harm. "Greetings!" shouted the captain when he was within hearing distance.

Before we became leaders we were ponies. Also, I would like to know what these "specific conditions" are. Do you think we'll try and use the technology for world domination or something?" He laughed.

A huge metal coffin with the face of a mare was brought forth, when it was opened it revealed thousands of long metal spikes.

"Dont worry, itnwont kill you. The spikes are placed in special positions to not hit any vital organs. You will be very much alive."

meanwhile elsewhere in the prison out of the depths, the 2 servants sat in their cell, disconnecting their mental link with the old preist, they teleported outside of the cell when no guards were around and managed to sneak out into the desert

They shut the door over the priest, the spikes entering his body; legs, arms, neck, cheat, even parts on his head,

It was soon time serve breakfast, a normal (non-torturer... Those are the only 3) prsion guard walks by the cell of the assistants, it was empt. He runs and pulls a lever. Speakers throughout the prison start an alarm while red bulbs flash on and off. About 100 mounted prison troops (they can outrun you) are sent in the desert. A telegram with a description of the 2 dangerous murders is sent and troops from the city are mobilized to look for them. Posters of them are now on the streets of Hoofsburg and citizens are urged to report any sighting of them.

the outside of the city was rather busy despite it being night time, several markets were still open and ponies still walked and flew to their destinations all across the city 

The diplomat rushed out of the blighted shrine of evil, glad he had escaped their fiendish clutches. After that, he walked around, watching all the pegasus ponies around and marveling at the above ground architecture. Never before he came here had he seen a pony with wings! He had also never understood why ponies built their buildings above ground, but he supposed it made sense for ponies with wings, after all you couldn't fly underground!

 

The diplomat noticed he still had the pamphlet, and started looking at it morbid curiosity, fully expecting it to be an instruction manual in pony sacrifice or something even more horrific...

(I only said I have cannons, not that they're better then yours. And I have a feeling that the Chiniese couldn't teleport once per day.)

"Not necessarilly, but one can never be to careful." he said smiling. "But we would request that the airships be built by us, and that they be checked between zones, and of course, used only for trade."

"Well... The north is cold and icy and the middle is moderate grassland. We have some hot desert down south but the grassland contains most of the nation, meaning moderate weather. However that doesnt really matter as the cities would always be warm and shadowy from all the factory smoke."

 

Soon on the horizon a thin landmass could be spotted, above it raised huge, dense columns of thick, black smoke. Below the airship sailed hundreds of trading and fishing ships. From time to time huge, metal, steam-powered warships could be seen.

Dogs sniffled the ground as mounted guards surveyed the desert. A group of 10 guards and 3 hounds caught a trail. They started following it immediately, starting to catch up to the runaways.

the old priest groaned in pain "i killed them!, are you happy now?"

 

out side the sun was out at mid day, and glaring down on the desert sand, making it hot to the touch, the 2 assistants had a few hours head start on them so were able to take advantage of the cool sand, the heat was at its highest, with no quick access to water or shade, traversing the desert could be very dangerous

 

meanwhile in the capital city of Clepto, Hommit walked up to the Duke with a report from his investigation "Well I came up with something interesting, my agent followed the paper trail, it leads from Clexto, now being called Hoofsberg, a lot of the reports originate from the government building there, which lead my agent to believe that thats all the regent there does is just write reports, some came from over seas, however he found a few particularly interesting, and looked further into it, they were connected to supplies going off into the desert to the west, these supplies containing food and water, and an oddly large amount of honey and milk, he couldnt follow them as he risked becoming spotted. He noted that they were heading to the mountains to the west, and must of confiscated a spirit map to help them navigate the desert.  Any idea why they would be sending supplies to the mountains?"

"No, i cant say i would know... There should be a stone quarry in the mountains... But i see no reason for these reports to be sent here...."

He looks at a list "Cidonian nobles attempted to purchase the city with no avail, Ponissians who showed any interest in Cidonian religion and attended the magic school set up have been disappearing, a large number of city funds have been going to a Cidonian noble who is believed to be funding a construction project to turn his home into a palace, my agent even heard of talks, primarily of Ponissian nobles to reenact the "Pegasus genocide" that sounds pleasant, I personally want all of this investigated, but since you are our royal guest, Ill let you decided which one we should look into first"

Well, at first glance the pamphlet seemed harmless enough, the diplomat noted, although the note about Lixin influencing businesses seemed very suspicious. However, he still wan't entirely convinced that the group wasn't a dangerous, pony sacrificing cult. He tried singing the song printed on the pamphlet, just to see what it would sound like.

"Fair enough. But I would like it if you took in some of my best engineers and one of my boat builders so they can learn how they are build. It is nice of you to build one for us but we don't want to be dependent on you forever. We want to be able to make our own, and give then our own personal touch.  I know a few sailors who are use to wend sails rather then engines. It might be slower but but thye never run out of steam." He shrugged as he took another drink.

He then look toward the king with another smile. "We'll be happy to send some Pegasi to your land. Bay be we could send up a trading office there with a few of them. I bet a few of the ones I know wouldn't mind visiting other lands.  And the troops don't really need training. We already have a few of the best trainers there is. Like I said, what he lack in we make up in skill. In fact, about we send one of our trainers to visit your land and maybe show your troops a thing or two." He chuckled.

 

"He's one of our best fighters the the general of combat. He was raised by griffons and joined there military for before he became a mercenary. But now he thinks Quinacta his home. And it is.  But if you want to help make us a little stronger." He took another drink. "We could use some better firepower.  Meaning guns. In return we can trade some of the some of the ones in our armory , you can melt the metal down if you want."
