CosmicHooves 2,705 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 I know this is old news, but I wanted your thoughts on this.Rapper and comedian "Rucka Rucka Ali" a while ago made a music video that made fun of One Direction and 9/11.But if anyone knows Rucka, his style of comedy is always shock humor and he's joked around with 9/11 in his past songs before. And now that he mentions and slams 1D, fangirls all over the internet got really butthurt and made numerous rants like this one. See what I mean? The fangirls even bothered to put up a petition to get it tooken down.Which it did.Rucka has always slammed hot issues like religion, tragic events, and celebrity stats and hardly anyone ever gives a shit, but NOW that he uploaded that black comedy* parody, 1D fangirls got butthurt.People just don't understand that Rucka's parodies are MEANT to be offensive. It's called black comedy*.Please feel free to share your thoughts.*shock humor
Scootaloodle 1,623 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 Well that’s a shame that some of these 1D fans can’t take a joke. To be honest, the girl in the video made me think of Rarity whining
Banul 3,831 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 Sounds like he got what he wanted. If you purposefully make offensive songs, someone is going to get offended. That's not to say that he shouldn't do what he does, but this shouldn't be a surprise.

CandyStrike 603 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 (edited) I don't feel too sorry for the guy that made the video because he sounds like he's a fancy troll. Looking at some of his other work just cements my opinion. Edit: ok "I Can Do Whatever I'm White!" is actually funny. But it seems to be making an actual point instead of just being purposefully offensive to make people mad. It's just hillarious how angry the 1D fangirls got when he made that parody.
Empty Room 512 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 I like Rucka. I even like his brony parody, despite the claims in it. 1 "Have you ever felt the need to see more than you can see?"

Fender 1,283 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 It's people getting butthurt over satire. Nothing new. I love Satire, for the most part. I like a lot of satire about Christianity, and I'm a Christian. I like satire about the US, and I am an American. Comedy and tragedy go hand in hand, and should never be thought of as too impotent in the presence of one another. Sure, there's a time and a place, but honestly, three years is actually more than enough time to grieve. 9/11 jokes, holocaust jokes, they can all be funny, just draw a line sometimes, I guess. Heck, I'll make jokes about my dead grandmother sometimes, but do I love her or respect who she was any less afterward? Nah, not really. Just jokes.
Jeric 46,851 February 2, 2015 Share February 2, 2015 Topic locked. Staff would like to recommend that you create a new thread centered around whether or not satire has limits and can go too far. In said thread please refrain from focusing on a fanbase/group/or individual. Thank you.
