I'll be blunt here - you should never rip off the head of a Pony Creator OC. It's not only lazy, but it ruins the rest of the picture. But if you're willing to improve, I'm more than happy to help.

 

First off, you should learn how to draw a pony. Here's a little tutorial that can help you. It's simple, but effective. Secondly, what art program are you using? If you're using Photoshop or Paint Tool SAI, perfect. Those programs can help you deal with layers. When you use layers, you can sort all of the little things like shading and colouring out separately, rather than having to make the picture with just one layer.
