Word has it that VKM is not happy w/ the crusierweights lukewarm reception, and because of that, the SD crusierweight division has been put on hold. 

 

The biggest issues I see w/ the cursierwieghts is A. They're being held till the 3rd hour, the time when fans start gettign bored and tune out. The other thing is that these matches aren't distinctive in any way. Tell me, what is really the difference between a Kendrick/Perkins match and a Zayn/Jericho match? Both feature crusierweights, both feature dives and high flying, both feature fast paced wrestling. 

 

That's the big issue. Crusierweight matches feel just like any other match on raw not being held by 240+ pound guys. The only difference is the purple ropes. All the stuff that made them distinctive during the CWC has been toned down.

 

Is this accurate. Is there anything else wrong w/ the return of the cruseirweights?

Feel free to disagree with me but, I feel like the reason the Cruiserweight's  aren't clicking is because the audience's just don't care about any of them.

 

I mean, aside from Brian Kendrick they probably don't recognize any of them and because of this they refuse to show any

interest in them.

The characters of the cruiserweights aren't being expanded upon and there's no rivalries to talk about outside of Kendrick/Perkins. Not to mention that the crusierwieghts aren't being given much time per match and that those matches are just watered down sub-indy style matches that we already have seen a hundred times on Raw.

The WCW Crusierwieghts, TNA X-Divison, the NJPW/AJPW/NOAH jr. Heavyweights, Ring Of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Lucha Underground have all capitalized and popularized this style. What have WWE done to make them stand out from the pack, other than purple ring ropes?

I think I'm burnt out, to be perfectly honest. 

 

 I've pretty much seen it all as far as that style goes so, when I see new stuff I don't really find it all that impressive.

Well you're in a tough spot then. High flying is the present trend. Other places have more technical or stiffer striking variants. WWe still treats it like a side show. Big man matches are still there thing. I'm not sure where you can go for soemthign different.

I know I keep bringing him up but, I still enjoy watching AJ Styles & he's technically still a high flyer.

 

I prefer the video games more nowadays, that way I can book who I want to win (Usually, sometimes I lose.)

& I don't have to sit through however many hours of programming to see who I want. 

 

I'm slowly becoming more interested in certain people due to playing WWE 2K17, mostly the women's wrestlers, though.

Well yeah, if you still like styles then I would recommend watching ROH on Saturdays. SD overall is a more bearable show to get through, but it still is average in a way. I even skipped through a good chunk of this weeks episode. I'd play the games but I don't have the time on my hands.

I'm the same way. Though I don't really use the women on the games due to weak stats & move sets. So I create my own female CAWS and use those to kill half the roster. Actually one of the reasons I stopped at SDvRaw '11. I couldn't use my CAWs for anything other than divas' matches. I think the last time I played a wrestling game as when I game sharked the first SDvRaw and had my lady Caw go through storymode. Had her play a heel through most, but made her a face just for that shower scene w/ Torrie Wilson.

Also, Asuka is my Women's Champion right now in WWE 2K17 and is mowing over all of the women...Well, except Bayley who I ended up losing to.

One of the good things about the latest game is that you got a bigger list of female opponents to play against. I presume 2k17 doesn't allow for intergender matches?

Well here's the latest development int he world of TNA

 

Turns out the amount they owe various parties for stuff like loans and unpaid business taxes, comes to a grand total of $3.4 million.

 

I knwo we should want TNA to continue, but this amount of irresponsibility is just ridiculous.

One thing I forgot to add,

 

I also used to put Divas against giants like Trish Stratus vs Andre the Giant for example in SVR, 

to give myself a real challenge.
