searching Improv roleplay

So, this is my first ropleplay so i need somepony who knows more about it to help me out a bit, but i have an awesome idea for a roleplay. Theres a site http://www.cartoondollemporium.com/my-little-pony-games/cutie-mark-generator it has a pony name/cutie mark generator. I think it would be fun to generate a random pony and then come up with a backstory and start it from there... i dunno this may be stupid. Any feedback would be great!

I'd be interested. But are there any specific rules? I just want to know what's allowed. (Not that I'm planning to do anything bad.)

Umm, i'm not exactly sure yet. Thats why i want someone else who knows more about roleplaying to join. I've never really done it but i've got to learn somehow right?

I just thought the whole improv aspect would be fun because i like coming up with things on the spot

Well I've roleplayed multiple times. And nearly every RP I have seen had a list of rules. Even if it's a improv you'll want rules. Because what do you do if somepony does something you don't like,or submits an OC you think is overpowered? That's why we have rules, to make it clear of what we want and don't want.

So in your experience, what are some good rules, like basic rules?

(There are just my opinion. It just depends on how you feel.)

 

1.I mentioned over powered OCs? Those would be Alicorns or basically any charecter that has so much magical ability they cannot be beat.

2.Some role players have very unclear spelling. You can't ask them to have perfect grammar and spelling, but you can ask them to try to the best of their ability. This includes using quotactions when talking and perrenthases when out of character in the roleplay.

3.Some rolepayers may act harsh. So a ruse of 'lover and Tolerate ' would be nice.
