I turned to look at the pony who so stupidly tried to talk to me during this. "You truly do have the worst common sense, let me decide first how tonight ends." A raider stepped in front of caliber escorting him to the back of the group. I looked at Crackshot, "You really think we should let them rule over us like some imperialistic scum who don't know their ass from their eye balls? I will consider your point of view." I walked back toward the commander. "I am willing to let you in but I want compensation for each pony we will be taking in. We have our own upkeep to worry about. Say, 15 caps per pony. Pay me 150 caps and I'll let you in. We may be raiders but we still have our sovereign identity just like you do."

Chip realizing what all the commotion was outside returned to his personal rifle he was constructing that was sitting on a shelf behind the counter. He grabbed it from the shelf taking it over to another workbench that was behind the counter. He continued working on his rifle wanting to stay un-involved with the brotherhood of steel. Since the situation will end up with the brotherhood staying in ponyville either way. "If they turn ponyville to a parking lot then all the better, i'm tired of being stuck here," he muttered to himself.

caliber made short work out of the raider that was escorting him. he walked back up to crackshot and the ghoul. "yeah! what she said!" he yelled, "and ya better follow it, or else!" everyone looked at him. he looked around, and unsheathed his sword. "what? ya wanna fight?" he challenged everyone.

Aile had found her place next to Crackshot, effectively sneaking up behind him but not saying a word, she observed the mass gathering of raiders, the ghoul acting as the spokesperson in lieu of the drunken Ricto. The 12th battalion's commander hadn't like the fact that Cronos was still trying to bargain despite their overwhelming firepower. "Wow, they have a tank, and a well-maintained one at that, just don't understand what that marking means. The tank did in fact have markings, though it was none of the markings she had ever seen, it was a plant, a dully green painted plant on the side of the tank, barely visible given the lighting but she caught sight of it.

"I don't have any caps, Riles give me your spare revolver!" The commander shouted to the tank and a latch opened, a pristine looking magnum was tossed to the commander and he handed it to the ghoul. "I think that's well worth 150 caps at the minimum, so you tell your little friends over here to move outta the way or they gonna get run down, actually tell every pony but that annoying sword one to move, i'll gladly have my men take care of that nuisance." He returned to his spot on the mounted machine gun and motioned his men to advance slowly.

Crackshot perked up at Aile's sudden voice, and turned to look and listen to her.

"Marking?" He muttered, then turned to look at the tank. Sure enough, the tank had strange markings painted all over it, though he had no idea what they meant.

He took a glance to the magnum, which did indeed look in perfect condition. Plus, upon hearing his plans for Pain in the Ass, he couldn't really hide his enthusiasm to agree to the truce.

He compliantly returned Persuasion to his back and stood out of the way, but he kept his warning glare on every Steel Ranger that passed close by him.

A voice in the back of his mind wondered if any of them had heard of him...

caliber did just what he said, and didn't move, as the tank rolled towards him.

caliber's eyes darkened as he raised his sword. everything, the way he stood, the way he spoke, even the vibe ponys get from him, changed. "you might not wanna do that." caliber said. "i'll move if you say 'please.' otherwise..." he got into battle stance. "your gonna have a bad day. you call me a nuisance? and think you can get rid of me?" caliber was starting to slip into insanity. he smiled. "just try it..."

"Okay, but leave the pain-in-the-ass pony be. I require that you keep your respect and we shall we respect you. You have my word." I stood aside and let the tank go by. I went to Caliber, "Look, keep your cool okay. No one is dying today. Not us and not them," I reasoned with him now. Several grunts and stares were made between the Steel Rangers and the Raiders but nothing but quiet hostility ensued. I walked back and tossed the Chip the gun. "Hey, it won't excuse the damage done, but it's for you regardless. I still want a sharpened blunt weapon. I will pay you accordingly of course."

As Chip was working on his rifle he felt the area shaking as the tank began moving further in town. Using his magic he lifted the rifle so it wouldn't be affected by the shaking. He was so fixated on the rifle he didn't hear the door open and suddenly something heavy and hard struck him on the back. He looked behind and saw a pristine magnum on the ground along with the ghoul in the doorway. He was still upset about earlier but not like he hasn't had a raider smash something in his shop before. He turned around to the ghoul taking his goggles off "So you were serious about a sharpened blunt weapon. Well then do you have a preference of a weapon, like crowbar, another rebar club, something blunt with a point for stabbing?" He questioned raising his brow at the ghoul.

As Chip waited for a response he used his magic to lift the magnum up on the counter beginning to inspect it.

I stood there pensive for a moment. "Surprise me. Just give me a fair price for the labor and parts when your done." I reached into my saddlebags and tossed him a hefty bag of coins. "This should repair your station and then some. You might be even able to upgrade some of your own equipment. Good thing I don't have an appetite or any requirement for sleep eh? It makes saving money easier when you have less...requirements." I said told Chip laughing now.

Chip managed to chuckle with the ghoul "yea, especially when half the food provided in Ponyville is poisoned. First night i was here no one told me, luckily a competent doctor was passing through." Chip brought his hoof to his chin mulling over what kind of weapon the ghoul would want. His head snapped off his hoof and he ran into his back room.

While Chip was in the back room he began looking through piles of parts and weapons making a considerable amount of noise. Soon the noise stopped and Chip left the room with a sledgehammer floating behind him. He set it on his counter gesturing his head at the hammer "How does this tickle your fancy. A fifteen pound sledge hammer, just imagine it with one of the heads sharpened to a point. once it's sharpened it should weigh ten pounds," Chip looked anxious to start working on such a weapon.

The commander nodded at the ghoul's request and led his squad through the town. "Please get the fuck outta the way." The commander said as he moved past caliber, his squad laughing heartily at the small unicorn. The battalion had found their spot in an empty portion of the town near the back but not quite at the end and set up a small makeshift camp for sleeping, eating and watching to make sure no raider would try anything.

Aile looked at Crackshot  "Something tells me things are gonna get nasty later on in the night."

Crackshot watched the battalion pass him, a few Rangers giving him looks as they walked. The ones without helmets certainly looked rather uneasy as they passed through the town to the rear side.

He'd normally feel bad for small ponies being laughed at by bigger, stronger ones, but in this case, all that went through his head was 'Little prick asked for it'.

"Yeah, no shit," he nodded, glancing to Aile, then over to Pain in the Ass who was obviously seething, "especially with skippy over there hanging around."

caliber was twitching. pissed beyond normal standards, he asked quietly. "are you, by chance...laughing at me?" one of them replied "yeah, idiot." "retard" "freaking hobo." caliber continued to look down, then walked over to the bar. "give me your best." he demanded. he was thinking. 'im gonna kill 'em all. every last one.' he thought he threw 60 caps for the bottle. "keep the change." he walked over to the gun shop, sat down in his spot, drunk the whole bottle in five seconds flat, and started sharpening his sword, staring into space.

after sharpening his sword to razer-edge quality, he walked to a general store. "gasoline, please. full, if ya have it. and some matches" he paid for it, then walked back to the gun store. and continued sharpening. waiting for night.

After leaving the shop, I noticed Caliber seething with anger and approached him casually. "Hey friend, let's take a walk," I said leading him to the outskirts of Ponyville past the main gate. I took him out of sight of everyone before I spoke again. "Are you okay? I know i'm not the best example of a caring pony but I like to have my fun too. I practically ruined a shop out of sheer boredom." I told him laughing now. "In the end, I paid Chip back the restitution fees and then some. So even I have morals although most would tell you otherwise. You have an issue, let me know okay? Just keep the peace and maintain the sanity alright? I can take care of you, but you got to take care of yourself," I said smiling now.

caliber looked at him. "is that all you wanted to say?" he asked "okay, i dont think you understand." he said "they didn't just insult me, they insulted my honer. they didn't respect me as an individual. and if you want to help." he turned "you'll tell me where the're sleeping. now, dont get me wrong. you said im your friend, so ill be yours, too. but this is more than just some-guy insulting me." he started sharpening his sword again. "and," he added, "no promises about the sanity."

"I don't know about you, but I'm not going to stick around for skippy to blow up nor waiting for the zap army to come here and have their little battle with those rangers, you're free to join me, frankly I don't care." With that Aile trotted out of ponyvile and found a small cavern that was surprisingly vacant of anything, she took out some articles of cloth with brutal railroad spikes poked in them and began setting them up on the cave entrance, basically making a tent out of the cave. The cavern itself wasn't very large,  but it was beautiful, a faint blue glow was cast along the walls and there had been a small little pond in the center, the water didn't seem to be tainted one bit by the wasteland. The stalactites were ever so slowly dripping with water into the pond, the sound was tolerable, but the sight was just overwhelming in comparison to the little flaws.

Dashia dashed to her armor and moved it to the shop at the sight of the rangers. She then looks to the shop keep and says, "When do you need it done? Though I have nothing against the rangers myself, this armor was my dad's and they may not like it that I am here."

Crackshot watched as Aile took her leave from the town, contemplating whether to follow her or not.

He could leave and get out of the Rangers' way, but what if a fight broke out and some innocents got in the crossfire? Plus, he had that job for the weapon shop owner to do.

Though, since it was only Pain in the Ass who was stupid enough to take on the Rangers singlehoofed, he didn't worry too much.

Still, the reasons to stay outweighed the reasons to leave, so he simply turned back toward the town.

"Nice knowing you, then."

He returned to the weapons shop, where the owner was still behind the counter, even after all the commotion. That's commendable diligence, he had to admit.

He walked up to the counter and addressed him. "So, about that job."

After chip Finished asking his question he realized the ghoul was gone, probably to go deal with the commotion again. Chip took the magnum holstering it on his side, it was just you're regular .44 revolver magnum.

Chip took the fifteen pound sledge hammer and set it next to his grinding wheel when the Pegasus mare asked him about the supply route job. He turned back looking at her and saw the unicorn colt from earlier walk in also asking of the job "it can be done whenever, preferably sooner then later. If you gather up enough people then I'd like to come along so I can inventory what we bring back. It looks like most of the others that were here a minute ago are interested in the offer as well so i'd say you could have a good size group if you gather them," he stated as he turned back to his grinding wheel turning it on.

Chip begun grinding one of the sledgehammer's faces down to eventually come to a point.

Dashia points to her armor. It has seen better days. The tail blade is still in dire need of a repair kit.

"Do you have any repair kits for melee class Tier 4 weapons. My special kits only got it into working order. Needs allot of maitnence to get operational again."

She looks around and asks, "Have you ever thought about having a techie partner. I kind of wish to practice my work as in inventor."

She places a box with an incomplete set of Pegasus cybernetic joint replacements on the table. "I am working on a dual mod system for cybernetic parts. This is what I have so far."

The joints are designed for increasing agility. She has them partly modded for stength as well. So far, the idea of using a mana field to increase strength looks like it could work. However it looks more taxing then normal for two mods. The power strain is over clocked. So far there looks to be no way of fixing it. But it does have its minor problems.

The whole cave was refitted to act as a make-shift sort of camp, it provided everything Aile would desire in a little base, water, protection, and even a stealth factor. She trots over to her little cooking area, opens the can of beans with her magic and pours them into the little pot she had over the fire. Not the best dinner, but it's better than whatever they were serving in that shithole.

The battalion had been set up completely now, cooking food and laughing heartily at jokes they made about Caliber. "Did you catch that guy? You're gonna have a bad day." They burst into a hysterical laughter once that one was thrown out. The tank's rear side was visibly spewing out spores of some kind, they found their way into the homes of some of the raider's houses that were nearby, the sleeping ponies being infected as they inhaled in the virus.

Ricto got up now feeling like he just got a mallet to the head while having a migraine. "Ugh...never drinking again as long as I live..." He muttered incoherently. He managed to get out of bed but smelled something that resembled food. Really good food actually taking a second to revise his earlier thoughts. Chronos entered the building then, "Oh hey pal, I guess drinking is never the good idea huh?" he said in a cheery mood.

Ricto was notified about the temporary occupation as well as the other happenings. "So word is that Chip is sponsoring a trip to recover some lost goods. Me and some others are going to help him retrieve some lost shipments. Just keep your eye on the Brotherhood. I don't trust them one bit." I told him warily. "You said it, they will be gone in the morning regardless. Should be gone and out of our lives for good. Anyway, I'll see you when you return," he said smiling. I nodded and left towards the shop. I noticed the tank spewing out gasses out the exhaust and approached them. "Excuse me, is there a reason your left you tank on idle?" I asked the squad leader.

Chip turns his head enough where he can keep one eye on the Pegasus while he also keeps an eye on his grinding. "Unfortunately I do not have a repair kit for tier 4 weapons, as of late they are extremely difficult to get my hooves on. I do know however I was suppose to have 3 coming in on a previous shipment from my contact," he stated turning his attention back to the grinding wheel.

As sparks were flying from the grinding wheel Chip heard the Pegasus speak up again. He turned off the grinding wheel setting the sledgehammer down on the floor. He walked back to the counter pulling his goggles up on his forehead "A partner?" he questioned almost seeming like it was a foreign concept. "I have to say i've never really thought about it. I guess it would be nice to have another pony to take up some of the tasks around here." He sees the box on the counter and looks inside as she explains what is inside. He pulls out all the parts with his magic examining it all closely.

The commander got up, still in his armor and towered over the ghoul "Look pal, we aren't making any trouble so why you gotta come here and instigate? We had an agreement and we're following the requisite." He stood there exerting his build over the smaller pony, it was clear he wasn't going to tell him anything anytime soon. His squad mates appeared behind him, all of them looking at the ghoul.

Crackshot nodded to the shop owner and left without another word. He kept a sharp eye out for any of the other ponies he'd seen in the shop, to see if they were still interested in the job. After all, the guy wanted a group, and he wanted paid.

He spotted the ghoul walking up to the Rangers squad leader. He walked over to witness the situation, noting that their tank's engine was idling. To his understanding, that shouldn't happen when they're settling down.

What were they up to?

He noticed that other squad members had gotten up and were backing up their commander. The unicorn scowled and lifted out Persuasion in his magic as he stood next to the ghoul.

"Do we have a problem here, soldier boy?" He grunted.
