SilentFlight was staring out the window of her room at the orphanage and she then noticed Caliber start walking towards the everfree forest and she thought to herself 'what is he doing out there its almost dark and it is about to rain guess I better go and get him' as she said that she looked around her scattered belongings in the orphanage when she pulled out a set of ten throwing knives in a pouch and put the sash around her back and then snuck around Ms Posey and then followed caliber into the everfree forest

*crunch* caliber turned around, dagger flying out, to be pointed at the neck of silentflight a half second later, caliber lowered the dagger.

"you should be careful. pony or not, if i didn't know you, you'd be dead. " he sheathed his sword and turned around to continue trekking.

"I was reading about a family that lost everything but their life in a house fire. I was thinking about what that might be like, trying to imagine their pain," I said pensively. I suddenly got a little annoyed at his comment, "I read a lot because this orphanage is a joke. I have nothing else to do otherwise. I know my ways around the Everfree Forest if your willing to follow me. I know a cool place we can go to."

"I'm sorry but I know you've been on the road for awhile I just figure I would tell you the everfree forest doesn't work like normal forestes in equestria. This one doesn't follow the laws of the princess the clouds move on there own and the creatures here have a thirst for pony blood" she said Silentflight didnt notice Rain a couple paces behind her and Caliber

"i know." caliber said simply and continued trekking though the forest. "ive been in forests like this one, so i know what to expect. so dont worry. oh, and those flimsy knives ya got? aim for the eyes. thats all i can say." 

 

calibers ear twitched. 'rain? whats she doing here?' he thought. 'well, maybe, just maybe, we three will become friends...'

IT WATCHED THE CHILDREN ENTER THE FOREST FOLLOWED BY A THIRD, FOOD WAS THE ONLY THING IT THOUGHT AS IT STALKED THE THIRD FILLY INTO THE WOODS.

 

 

Scare saw the creature its giant jaws perfect for snatching poor defenseless foals that fall victim to it . Scare ran out the door trying to get to the other three to warn them.

I went ahead and nudged them both. "Follow me." I took them down a path that led to a quiet, peaceful meadow that held a beautiful array of flowers of all types. "My parents used to take me here to play when I was younger. It only serves to remind me of their loss, but that doesn't affect me much now. I mostly come here for quiet and peace." I laid in the center my mane in the grass. I let the light breeze carry my thoughts to somewhere else relaxing now.

SilentFlight just stood there thoughtless. "I never knew that I am starting to feel bad about how I treated y...." Silentflight stopped mid sentence to the sound of a large beast lurking in the shadows and she pulled out her throwing knives." What the buck is that thing and it looks hungry so I don't think it is going to be serving us tea with sugar"

"keep walking" caliber instructed. "ill distract it. silentflight, remember what i said about aim? on the count of three...1...2...3!"

 

then he realized what it was. "well, crap how are we supposed to fight that?"

 

then he noticed someone coming. 'well, there ya go. dead rats would work.' he thought

[Scare Effect 312]

the creature stepped from the shadows its rock armored hide is visible, its massive jaws opening wide as it roared at the three children.the creature was a rockodile or stone croc. the creature launched forward at the three as fast as it can move its 2 ton body.

"Um I don't think knives are going to penetrate that armour" she turns and started to run and then suddenly a flying yellow object flew between the fillies and monster and then she noticed it was Blackfire armed with nothing and SilentFlight thought' she must be crazy' Blackfire calmly approached the creature and pulled out some fresh dead rats from her bag and placed it in front of the rockodile holding it would choose to eat the rats instead of them 'she did do this with other animals on her many excursions into the forest to get away from the bully Silentflight'

caliber looked at the rock croc and said "i could've beat it." then turned to rain. "so, where are we going? lead the way."

 

then he noticed blackfire. "oh hey. sup." he said simply. we haven't met. im caliber. and you are?"

 

'ANOTHER GIRL?! this is crazy. but hey. she kinda helped there. so ill be grateful' he thought

"My name is Blackfire I saw you wander into the woods with only knives and I knew there were rockodiles and that the armour on those things wont be penetrated by a simple blade and just to ease the worry off of you cause I see that face you are wearing and i will just let you know" she moved closer to caliber so the other ponys didn't hear "I am a lesbian"

Scare walked through the forest following the giant creature's foot prints they led her to a field there she found a smaller creature, a rockadile , munching on some kind of bones

 

scare knew the creature  was still out there stalking them she must find them before it does.

"oh. ok thats cool. but i may have had that face, but i wasnt thinking that. and this isnt a knife. this is a high-quality, dragon-flame tempered god-like-steel, razer edged blade. im pretty sure i could've beat it. it is why i came out here, anyways." caliber fumed "but we're friends now, and friends forgive." caliber grinned "so" he said to everyone, "lets go!"

"Wow, I guess that was unexpected..." I said suddenly aware now. "I hadn't realized you were so good with animals Blackfire." I said with new found admiration for her. I guess I am just lucky that most creatures never mess with me. "Anyway, we had best leave this place now. I am not sure this extra noise we are making isn't helping our situation exactly. I agree with Caliber on that notion." I fixed my mane and left with the group. We had better make it to the orphanage soon or we would be having cold breakfast in the morning, I thought.

Scare found the four foals, she ran towards them and started yelling "RUN RUN NOW  THERE'S A dragon HUSK IN HERE RUN!"  Scare stopped in front of the foals  who didn't seem to believe or thought she was messing with them,we are running out of time here  scare thought angrily

"oup!" caliber said, "im not sticking around!!"  he walked over to scare effect, and waited for the other ponys to follow suit. "well? come on! even i cant beat a dragon husk! lets go!" he began to follow scare through the forest 

 

'huh. i wonder what other monsters inhabit this forest...' he thought

Scare looked at him " just so you know the things been following you guys the whole time you were out here, next time think before entering the everfree, okay, Oh yeah my name is Scare Effect and you are?" said scare as they arrived home at the orphanage.

"well I am going back too , these woods never like me and I don't want to get to know them any better than I already do" said SilentFlight "same here normally I Hang out with the smaller animals but nothing like a dragon husk" said Blackfire and they both headed back to the orphanage flying

I found my own way back, letting the others led the way. Crazy undead creatures or not. I valued my privacy more than a conversation or company most of the time. It was easier to tune out others that way anyway. I sighed as I made to my bunk before the care taker made her daily rounds. For ponies, they really didn't care or they missed way too much in my opinion. I briefly wondered a world with fillies in charge of ponies. I laughed to myself at the glorious empire that would be created by the powers that be within. A caste system within the orphanage would be something certainly humorous to imagine.

when caliber walked in the bedroom, he layed down right there on the floor. within moments he began to snooze. sure beds would be preferable, but he didnt care. all that was on his mind was sleep.   

 

'i wonder who this scare character is though. i cant help but distrust her. meh. ill worry about it later...' he thought to himself

as the other four went to bed scare went to go stand outside, her eyes scanning the forest and saw a pair of green eyes watching her every move, what is that scare thought then she noticed the eyes were starting to disappear into the forest once they were gone scare went back into the orphanage and went to sleep.

I woke back up and joined the others for breakfast. We were having bacon, eggs, and toast (because ponies can)! I waited my turn in line and I was trying to decide where to sit. I was going to sit alone in my corner table as per usual but this time I figured I would sit next to Blackfire. "Hey, I figured you could use some company. Mind if I join you?" I asked smiling.

caliber woke up with a start. 

'breakfast?!' he thought before jumping/falling down the stairs and getting a plate of food a foot high.

 

he plopped himself down next to rain and blackfire. "so," he said between mouthful's, "you guys wanna go to the place rain was talking about earlier? you know, the clubhouse thing rain was talking about."

 

he finished his plate (yes, already) and went to get seconds. he came back and said "it sounds really cool. i wanna go, whos down?"
