Clayton entered the castle and walked around the lower levels. He managed to find a kitchen, bathrooms, and six bedrooms. "Looks like someone's are going to have to share. He thought to himself, but he didn't really let that concern him. He then trotted back and noticed Lektra. "Glad we have a few ponies who are good with electronics. Otherwise, we'd probably be dead." He said.

Dawn groaned as her magic stopped and she almost collapsed to the ground. She then glanced at Tempest and tried to give a reassuring smile. "I'm ok. Just used a bit to much magic." She said, before leaning on his side. "How long?"

 

Tempest was stunned slightly, but almost immediately knew what she was talking about. "A few years now. It's something I picked up in this very forest actually.

As the fight concluded Cura Breeze gently climbed out of the wheeled stretcher he had been unceremoniously dumped in. HAn alicorn...wow...the last time I heard of one was in the evacuation of Balimare, what was her name again? He pondered it for a moment,  it was...something I can't remember at the moment though what I do recall is that she had lead the defense of the city. Memories of that disaster threatened to resurface by he quickly ignored it by focusing on the alicorn who was leading heavily on a bat pony Most likely from magical exhaustion, judging from the large amount of ice covering the ground. I might have something for that. Searching through his saddlebags, he looked through what he had managed to salvage from the aid station. My mobile medical surgical kit, disinfectant, two first aid kits, and one magical restorative potion. Pulling it out of his saddlebags, he trotted over by the alicorn, holding the potion in his wing. Holding it out to her he said, " Here this will help."

Aurora smiles as she gains a new tool. She decides that a OS similar to leagion's would be good.

 

She opens the chest panel and bgrins coding the new OS. When she is done she says, "Your name is Guardian. Your purpose is to protect ponies.

 

There are three rules to follow.

 

One, you may not injure a pony or, through inaction, allow a pony to come to harm.

 

Two, you must obey orders given it by ponies except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

 

Three, you must protect your own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

 

Comply and register new OS with new rules."

 

She waits for the M.E.C.H. Pony to answer.

Dawn noticed the pony offering a potion to her and smiled slightly. "Thank you." She said, as she took the bottle and drank it. After a few minutes, she could feel her strength returning to her. She still didn't have all of her magic back yet, but it would have to do for now. "We should probably get some supplies. I didn't plan on there being this many ponies here."

 

Tempest nodded slightly. "I can get some wood so we can get a fire started if it gets cold." He said

Aurora says, "We should change locations so they don't find us for a while. They know we are here. Btw Leagion, would you like an upgraded firewall. It will make it harder for them to get into your head. It will also keep them from getting our location from you."

 

She goes over to the destroyed machines and begins replacing her left forehoof with one from one of the earth types.

Clayton overheard the conversation between Temoest and the others. "If we're leaving, we may want supplies, in case our next location doesn't have anything we might need." He said. The uniocrn knew to cover all bases when something had any room for error.

Aurora says to the machine again, "Guardian, confirm new OS and Rules."

 

Aurora goes back over to it and stands ready to end it with her new earth pony type leg attached to her left foreleg. She says one final time, "Delta 1 Aurora. Confirm new OS and Rules. That is an order from your maker."

I merely was scavenging in the area of the ruined Castle of the Lost Sisters when I heard some commotion. I figured I would investigate because chances are, there were other ponies who needed help. I usually didn't interfere with android affairs due to fact that the less ponies knew about me, the easier I could survive. Sticking to the shadows, I began to search for any remaining survivors or androids that needed to be taken care of.

Tempest glanced at Aurora and sighed. "As much as I hate to say it, we should probably leave them here, at least for now." He said. "Other survivors may not be to keen on having robots around, given the circumstances." The bat pony then trotted back into the castle.

 

Dawn nodded slightly to Clayton's remark. "I remember seeing a few bushes of berries and wild fruit that looked edible. I'll be right back." The alicorn then trotted into the forest in search of said resources

Aurora nods and the machine says, "I Am Guardian. New OS and program rules confirmed."

 

Aurora smiles and says, "You first task is to keep us safe. Guard that door. If it isn't a pony of any kind, krep it out. only Leagion is an exception."

 

Aurora then follows into the Castle. The machine takes a post by the door.

 

(one, had to do that so Aurora gets unstuck.

Clayton shrugged and followed Tempest into the castle. He knew that the bat pony was a good leader, based off of previous encounters with him, but he had no idea that Tempest knew a alicorn aside from Cekestia or Luna. "So Tempest, where did you and Dawn meet?" There was also another question plaguing his mind, but he didn't want to ask considering they weren't at the castle with Tempest.

Turning briefly towards the Robots, Cura had to agree with the bat pony, even now he still felt edgy around those things. The sooner I leave those things behind, the better. however his attention was taken away from them as he Noticed that the alicorn was leaving. Trotting as quickly as he could, he struggled to catch up to her. He had questions that hopefully she might be able to answer. Finally catching up to her he asked, " You mind if I join you?"

Tempest quickly turned his head towards Clayton and sighed. "I met her while I was walking through the forest." He said. "Of course, that www before all of this happened." The bat pony was lying on that last bit, but he knew that something about the alicorn seemed almost familiar. "As for your unasked question, we broke up. Being a royal guard doesn't give much time for family." Tempest tried his best not to show emotion, but there a faint twinge of sadness in his voice.

Dawn looked around the area as she walked through the forest. She had to admit that she had really needed to get out of the ancient castle, seeing as it gave her a chance to connect with nature. Of course, she was also looking for the food she had seen. She then noticed Cura and smiled slightly. "Sure. I don't mind." She said.

Aurora stops at the door noticing one of the other looking exhausted. She goes over and asks, "Need a helping hoof?"

 

Aurora positions herself so as to give the pony a barrel to lean on and a helping hoof. She waits for the pony's response before making her next action.

Aurora says, "I have some basic food packs on me. I have enough to feed one pony for a week. I can spare a day's worth to help ya out."

 

Her new earth type limbs held most of the weight. She also used her wings to balance the pony. She carries the pony to the pony's companion. She sets the pony in the cart its companion has become to let the pony rest. She also gives the pony one of her M.R.E. packs. "My name is Quantum Aurora. What's your name?"

"Call me Aurora. I was a part of the M.E.C.H. Development Department and Quantum Research Industries. My original limbs were developed as a base For the machines we are now fighting against. I am not proud to have helped in the world's downfall. I will make amends for the mistakes that those I worked with and myself made. That is a pinkie promise."

 

Aurora seems to know about the main company involved with all this. "I also am sorry for what part I played in all of this." She gets very sad and one could easily see she is shaking allot now.

"Sure. I don't mind." She said.

"Thanks," Cura replied," also the name's Cura Breeze, co-head of the Equestrian Red Heart..." he paused looking down briefly before continuing," or at least I used to be before all this." As he spoke, they had already walked out of the castle and had begun to enter the forest beyond, passing through the remains of the battle,the melting ice, the scap that used to be their robot menace, in which they had so recently fought for their lives, or at least others had fought for his life he noted with a nagging degree of shame. It wasn't that he liked fighting, in fact it was something he hated for all that it produced. It was just the fact I was so...helpless in all of it..Oh goddesses, how I hate even thinking of it.

Dawn nodded slightly and smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Cura. I'm Dawn." She said. The alicorn looked around and saw the carnage of the previous fight and sighed. "Sometimes, I wonder how many ponies are left after all of this. I didn't even know any of you were alive until just recently."

Clayton looked at his friend and sighed. "Ok. Ok. It's not like I'm one to judge." He said, wanting to get off the topic as soon as possible. "As for the alicorn, I could definitely see you two going out. I mean, you seemed to at least care about her earlier." The unicorn knew he was treading dangerous ground, but it was worth it just to get a friend out of the darkness of his own mind.

Tempest glared at Clayton. "You want to know why I care for her.That's because, as far as I know, we're the only survivors of this hel, and guess what, there's a pretty good chance that we may still die." He yelled. A tear then trickled down his muzzle and his breathing hitched. "You weren't there. You weren't in Canterlot when those things attacked. They took everything, even the princesses, and the worst part is that I don't know what happened to them because I... fled. There, I said it. I did the one thing I swore never to do and abandoned friends and allies just to live." The bat pony then returned his gaze to Clayton. "Did that explain enough as to why I care about Dawn, or should I go on?"

Clayton was surprised by Tempest's outburst and nodded slightly, slightly afraid of what his friend would do when angered. "Yeah, I guess it did." He said. The unicorn then placed his scythe on his back. "I just worry about you sometimes. Even this can break a ponies state of mind."

Tempest smirked slightly and laughed. "My mind was broken a long time ago, my friend. I just don't show it." He muttered. The bat pony then looked around. "We should probably go find the others.

 

While Dawn and Cura talked, a android with the body of a snake and a good deal larger, watched them from the shadows. It's black eyes scanned the two and identified Dawn it's main target. The four other androids were only protectors. Now, it would go on the offensive as soon as it got the chance.

Aurora says, "fast but low. We can't risk being seen. If we com across more machines then I say we bolt back this way. Stay as close as we can to the canopy."

 

Aurora took flight staying just above The canopy. She is scanning for dawn and the one with her plus any possible threats.

Staring at the ground in front of him Cura sighed, memories of both Balitmare and Ponyville resurfacing as they both trotted deeper into the forest, " Trust me, I sometimes wonder just how many of us are left too." However, there was one question that nagged at his curiosity, one that had to be answer. " So where were you when all this broke out and how did you survive?" he questioned, turning once again to face the alicorn. All around them, the normal sounds of the forest, such as the sound of birds calling one another slowly began to fade away. Even the sounds of insects slowly stopped, leaving only an eerie quiet, almost as if the very forest was holding its breath in fear of attracting the wrath of some unforeseen predator. Cura barely noticed, still waiting on Dawn's reply.
