How about Caramel comes to Scarlett after finding out something about her family. Scarlett finds a way to gather the old crew and then they go and do that thing.

Maybe her ancestors left something for her which is a map to some giant amount of treasure. Or shipwreck of her parents ship or something XD

Peyton's idea sounds pretty cool. Since this is five years later, there could also be a subplot involving (yes, this may be a bad idea, but *shrugs*) airships.

 

Yes, yes, I know, I like airships too much, but let me explain here.

 

An airship, the REA Corona, carrying an immense amount of treasure, endures a failed hijacking attempt by our rival pirates, but goes down on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere. It's a race against time to make it to the fallen ship and transfer the treasure to our ship before the rival pirates get there and take it. There will be swordfights, banter, explosions, and possibly really cool weaponry.
