Tyra blinked before letting out a snicker, waving her hoof in the air.

 

"I fear you may offend Violet with that!" She joked, laughing as the cider was having an effect and making the deed much funnier than it probably would be to her. "It may have been in her direction!"

"I remember accidentally doing it near this stallion one time as the result of eating an experimental cupcake. He wasn't amused... though his experimental cupcake had different effects..."

After hugging Rave for a long time, Caramel finally let go, whipping her tears away with her hoof. "Do ye think ye can stand up and maybe take walk for a bit of fresh air? Or do ye wanna stay here, cause that's fine too?" Caramel said sitting down in her chair again.

Tyra blinked and leaned in close to inspect the pendant, giving it an experimental sniff.

"Ahh, I have seen pendants similar to this before," she muttered, nodding with certainty, "when I visited the Crystal Empire a while ago."

 

She recalled how the ponies there all had coats seemingly of pure jewel. It was truly fascinating.

Spellbind did wonder why Dusk Waltz had ben so eager to trade this pendant. And if he didn't know its capabilitys until she had tried it on, he didn't seem so annoyed.

 

When Tyra sniffed the pendant Spellbind joked, "I'm the one who let it rip, not the pendant."

Rave stood up from the bed. He was shaking a little bit, but seemed to be able to hold himself up. "Sure, I am ready for a walk. Will probably do me good. Never been one to lie too long in bed, even if I get sick". He gave Caramel a smile and walked towards the door and waited for her there.

Caramel stood up as well. "Well let's go then." Together, they walked above deck. Caramel walked slowly, since Rave was still a bit shaken up she thought he might take a litle more time walking. The sun was still shining but the sky was already getting darker. "I'm worried about Lordy, he has been missing since we left." she said to Rave. "Let's just hope, nopony else gets lost around here."

"Have you checked up on everypony else? Tyra, Violet, Wilhelm and the mysterious pony (Rave still doesn't know the name of Assassin)? I know that Spellbind is here on board as I saw her after I woke up". Rave looked at the island. "Boundless treasures may lie at the bottom of the lagoon. Do you think we will be able to retrieve it all, considering the treasure probably nearly weighs half as much as the ship?".

Tyra raised an eyebrow at Spellbind with a smirk, before going back to inspecting the pendant.

"It is truly a magnificent treasure," she commented, giving it a nudge with a hoof and secretly hoping no sparks or shadowy beings popped out of it, "The Crystal Empire is a truly beautiful place. It is not too far from my homeland, either!"

"I know Tyra and Violet are here. The mysterious pony, just so ye know, her name is Assassin, is on board but I haven't seen Wilhelm in a while." Caramel said to Rave. "I think it's best if we look for Wilhelm and Lordy first before we go look for treasure. And I think it's a good idea for you to stay on the ship. Ye still need to heal, it won't be wise for you to join us on the search and maybe even the treasure hunt, but that depends how fast ye heal."

Rave looked bitterly over to the island, but silently nodded. He kept on looking, as if he was inspecting a painting. "Aye, perhaps it is best that I stay here. Got you all in danger". He was silent for a while. "I more useful when it comes to maps anyway". He turned away from the island. "I think I am going to look at a few maps, inspect the area around the island". He started walking back for his room.

"Woh there, slow down a bit. Come back here. You are not the one who put us in danger, don't blame yerself. I take full responsibility because I am the captain of this crew so everything we do, I am to blame for. Also it was entirely my fault. I was the one who headed into those ruins, you were the one that warned me but I didn't listen. So don't try to blame yerself, it only makes ye feel bad." Caramel said with a smile. "That's all. If ye want, ye can go check yer maps now." Caramel turned around, looking at the dark forest, wondering where Lordy and Wihelm could be.

Rave gave her a smile and continued on his path. He was still sad though. He entered his room and started rummaging through his map pile. He laid a few maps on his table. He noticed that his black book had been moved as well as one of his dark crystals. "Strange..." he mumbled to himself.

"Perhaps I shall check on Rave," Tyra suggested, grinning as she got up from the table, "I shall return quickly!"

 

She trotted out and down the hall to Rave's room, giving it a knock before entering.

She grinned as she saw Rave up and about. "Ah, Rave! Are you well, my friend?" She asked, letting herself in. The thought of him being in any physical pain made her refrain from grabbing him in a tight hug.

Rave looked up from his maps that he had been inspecting at Tyra. "Yes, I am feeling better. Thank you for asking.". He had a red crystal by his side that looked as if it was emanating light. "Apart from me almost getting myself killed, how are you yourself?" he asked.

Not wanting to feel selfish and apathetic, Spellbind followed Tyra to Rave's room.

 

She got in as Rave was replying to Tyra's question. "I presume you're feeling better now, Rave?" she said, plopping down onto an empty seat. "If you need anything, let me know."

Rave looks from Tyra over to Spellbind, smiling. "I am feeling better yes. There is no need to bring me anything. I think I can handle myself from now on.... or at least here on the ship" he said a bit sadly. "I will manage" he suddenly said, trying to sound confident.

Tyra noticed Spellbind walk in and gave her a big grin before answering Rave.

 

"I am well myself, thank you," she nodded, then cocked her head to look at the glowing red crystal, "I must say though, you have the most peculiar collection. Especially those crystals of yours!"

Rave looked back at Tyra. "Yes, my family owns a lot of Crystals since they used to live in the Crystal Empire. It was our base of operation until... you know what, it is nothing" he said rather secretive. He started inspecting his maps again. "So Tyra, you like axes don't you?" he asked to change the subject.

Tyra cocked her head to the other side, eyebrow raised, as she caught Rave's sudden hesitation. Was there something he didn't want to let her know?

 

However, at his next question, she began beaming.

"Aye!" She nodded, rather enthusiastically, before glancing back at the very weapon strewn on her back, "It has been my weapon of choice since fillyhood!"

 

She looks back to Rave, still grinning. "Why do you ask?"

Upon hearing Tyra's and Rave's chatter about crystals as well as the Crystal Empire, Spellbind considerd it the perfect time to show Rave the same thing she had shown Tyra.

 

"Does this interest you at all, Rave?" she asked, holding up the crystal pendant.

"Oh, I just noticed that you had an ax and that you used it quite effectively against the sea monster. They are the best melee weapons in my own opinion. It is easier to swing them as the weight is on the top and therefore it increases the damage it inflicts". Rave used his magic to put away all visible crystals. 

 

Rave looked at the crystal pendant that Spellbind showed him and he seemed to recoil. There came a hissing sound and Rave's face seemed to darken. However, he managed to calm himself down and acted like nothing happened. "It is.... pretty" he offered a weak smile.

Tyra puffed out her chest and raised her head proudly as Rave explained the effectiveness of an axe.

 

"You know much about weapons, my friend!" She commended, removing the axe from her back and setting it upside down with her hooves on the hilt in case he wanted a closer look, "These blades have seen many generations of battles!"

 

Her ear flicked and her grin turned into a look of intrigue as she thought she heard some kind of hissing noise, when Rave looked at Spellbind's pendant.

Spellbind thought she heard some sort of hissing sound, but she shrugged it off. She sometimes heard noises that weren't really there, only existing in her head.

 

"A rather formal stallion gave me this in a trade," she said to Rave.

 

"Hey, did either of you hear about the burglary in Canterlot where I live?" she commented. "Witnesses managed to see a slender-looking pony wearing black cloak, white socks, and a white mask with slitted eyeholes."
