Scarlett kept pace with Captain Caramel but replies to Lordy "What is your obsession with helping mares? Sure, I appreciate the offer, who wouldn't. But I don't understand why you always do it? It's not unproper, it's just two mares helping another pony."

 

Turning back to Caramel she asks "What happens to me after we get Assassin back to your ship?"

 

"Well I can't just leave you here, stranded on this island. Yer welcome to join the crew. We got bed left I think." Caramel said smiling, great full for Scarlett helping her carry Assassin. Caramel could see the ship in the distance even thou it was dark. "Finally, almost there."

"It is accustomed for a gentlecolt to help a mare in need, to be courteous and to be polite. A colt must never speak ill of a lady or raise his tone. A gentlecolt must be of seevice to a lady when asked and try to make sure she is safe. This are only some of the rules one must follow back home."

As they approached the coast Scarlett says "So Caramel, how'd you get this all crew? You are all very different and I can't really see you putting up notices."

Scarlett, Caramel and Lordy all step onto the beach as they leave the forest. Scarlett asks "So, where's the ship. It's so dark I can't see where it is. You don't happen to be able to see it do you?"

 

Straining her eyes out to the ocean she could not see the ship. It was at that moment that Lordy's glowing horn cut out. "Well darn. That makes seeing the ship a whole lot easier..."

"We are very different. Lets just say that it all started with a bar fight." Caramel said with a grin. "Good memories" she thought to herself. "Well I wouldn't know what you would do but I can tell you where we are going. Next destination is Horse Shoe bay."

 

Caramel could find her ship even if it was a mile away. "It's right there in front of you." Caramel pointed out. As she walked further, she could see the ship more clearer.

Caramel could find her ship even if it was a mile away. "It's right there in front of you." Caramel pointed out. As she walked further, she could see the ship more clearer.

"Ooohhh a bar fight. What I would have given to see that!"

 

"Wait a moment, isn't Horse Shoe bay a megasp- nevermind."

 

Scarlett continues to walk besides Caramel, carrying Assassin on their backs. As they got closer Scarlett began so see the outline of the ship and says "I suppose I should tell you more about myself when we get on board. I'm sure you don't want a complete stranger joining your crew."

Just stepping on the sand started giving him a slight seasick feeling... Oh boy... Seems like he has to stay on that wobbling barrel again... Great.

"I'll try to remember it next time." Caramel said looking at the ship. "I would like to know more about you." Caramel said turning back to Scarlett. "But I think it is best we go to bed first when arriving on deck." Caramel said as they got closer to the ship.

Turning to Caramel "I'm assuming you've had a hangover right? Magic deprivation is a bit like that but twice as bad and all over your body. And it's all because all your crew got themselves lost. And one got poisoned."

 

"I'll try to remember it next time." Caramel said looking at the ship. "I would like to know more about you." Caramel said turning back to Scarlett. "But I think it is best we go to bed first when arriving on deck." Caramel said as they got closer to the ship. 

 

"We're back everypony!" Caramel said as they arrived on deck.

 

"So, where's my bed. Are there other ponies in the room?"

Rave was on deck to greet Caramel. "Welcome back Captain. I suspect that everything went well, considering that we are all now reunited once more". He gave her a smile. "Anything I can do to help?" he saw Assassin on the mares backs. "Is she alright?" he asked with slight concern.

Tyra perked up with a wide grin as Caramel returned with the others.

"It is good to see you are well!" She grinned, trotting over to hug everypony returning, "We were about to go look for you all!"

 

She glanced at Assassin, strewn over their backs. "Did something happen to her?"

The moment Lordy stepped onboard, all the exhaustion and weakness came back to him. He made a few wobby steps he stopped. His eyes closed and his head started to lean, being supported by his musket. His legs started shanking and, nomatter how hard he tried to walk in order to get to a hammock, they failed. He collapsed on the deck and fell alseep imidiately.

"It is good to see you are well!" She grinned, trotting over to hug everypony returning, "We were about to go look for you all!"

"No, she's fine. She's just asleep. Poor thing appears to be really worn down." Sighing "she's not the only one"

Needless to say that Spellbind was very much relieved when all the ponies returned even though Assassin was asleep. Still, asleep was better than unconscious. She went forth and joined in the hug Tyra had initiated.

 

"So... is it okay to progress on forth?"

Tyra perked up with a wide grin as Caramel returned with the others.

"It is good to see you are well!" She grinned, trotting over to hug everypony returning, "We were about to go look for you all!"

 

She glanced at Assassin, strewn over their backs. "Did something happen to her?"

Scarlett placed Assassin on the deck and went over to a dark corner to get away from all the hugging that was going on over by the side.

 

While in the corner she quickly ran a diagnostic over herself. She was fine, tired and near depleted of all magic, but fine none the less.

"bed rooms are downstairs. there should still be a room left. You sleep alone. You got a private room. Could you carry Assassin to her room as well, ye know it when you see it. I'll carry Lordy to his room." Caramel said lifting up Lordy on her back. 

She looked at the rest of the crew. "Get some rest everypony, tomorrow is a big day, tomorrow we go into the ruins."

Rave nodded, however, he did not go immediately. "I need to talk to you about the ruins and the ship wreckage, however, I think that can wait until morning, but it may be very important". He then bid her and the rest of the crew goodnight and went below decks to his room. He looked at a few maps before retiring for the night, going to bed.

Caramel nodded back to Rave "I'll come by later." she said, following Rave below deck and bringing Lordy to his room.Caramel closed the door after bringing Lordy to his bed. She walked over to Rave's room, knocking at the door, she walked in. He was already in bed. "Ye wanted to talk to me?"

Rave stood up from his bed, a bit nervous since he was not expecting her. "Ehm, uhm, yes" he went to his paper and brought some scrolls up. "I have been reading some stories and history and it appears that the owner of the ship wreck that held all the treasure, was a pirate and a captain. But it also turns out that this pirate cursed his treasure. He cursed it since he did not want anyone to find one of the greatest and largest wealth in the world. It is said that the captain still haunts the wreckage of the ship and the treasure, never resting, constantly guarding it" he looked at Caramel again.

"I already knew it was haunted and cursed, that is what the legends tell anyways." Caramel said as she laid down on Rave's bed. "Does that book of yers say anything else about the curse. I mean, what does it do? What effects has it one the ones who open the treasure."

Scarlett gets up, and carrying Assassin on her back goes below deck to Assassin's room. Laying her on her bed, she leaves again and goes to find her room. Laying down in the center of the room, Scarlett closes her eyes and goes to sleep, still wearing her saddlebags.

Rave started to inspect his scrolls and book. "Well, it is a bit different. The ruins have always been haunted by zebra ghosts. However, with the presence of the haunted pirate, the ghosts of the ruins have become corrupted, which is apparently why the ruins are now deserted and the natives appear to have fled. the once peaceful ghosts are now very aggressive. As for the one who opens the treasure, the pony that does that will be given a challenge to prove their worth, however, the text ends there, it doesn't say what. But it won't be easy since the pirate ghost won't allow us to get close to the treasure".

"Hmm, that is a very complicated situation. Dealing with the natives will be easy but the pirates ghost is a different story. I'm sure we can figure it out. Does it say anything more about the challenge?" Caramel said while standing up from the bed to look at the scrolls Rave was looking at as she stood next to him.

Rave felt better with her close presence, however, he frowned upon her question. "I am afraid not, there are some pages missing when it comes to that. I find it very strange, as if someone doesn't want us to be prepared for what is to come. However, I do know that one must be a pirate to be able to take the challenge" he levitated a scroll with pictures and it showed a pony with an eye patch and a hook with some symbols.

"Those symbols, I know them, from somewhere." Caramel said looking at the scroll. "I think it has to do with the pirate code, but I'm not sure. Captain Roger told me about them, that is for sure." Caramel said, trying to remember what it meant. "Anyways, I'm sure we'll be fine tomorrow. I'm off to bed." Caramel said walking to the door, but she hesitated. "Should I ask him?'' she thought.
