Things i doubt anypony would have to go through, yet i cannot help but miss the ones I grew... and fought alonside with, even if the majority are gone. Didnt you have any friends there... family?"

"Try and think of everything bad that could go wrong. Endless killing, cannibalism, other horrible things that you can do to a pony. Multiply that by 10, and you still only have a third of the Wasteland. In the wasteland, friends don't exist. Family only exists in a last ditch attempt to revive pony kind."

She then teleports to the wheel of the ship. She scans over the ship in her mind and realizes that she recognized it. Putting her hooves on the wheel she turns it a little bit and smiles before turning it back.

Do you know how it is like to look at the dead face of your childhood friend, pale and lifeless, being unable to turn your head around. If you didnt have friends, and you didnt see them die that must be one of the very best places to be. Not caring about anyone but yourself. I mean, i always dream thouse that i have failed."

And how do you propose I entice unicorns to move away from their homes and to the North? Ask them very politely?"

 

"You'd be surprised at how far the benevolent rulers of Equestria would go," said Spellbind. "If somepony went and informed Princess Celestia about the issue, most likely she would do something to help in some way. I can't imagine her saying no. As for the second thing, well, I'm sure there are lots of ponies who are interested in your village. I'll admit it sounds interesting. If I could do the right magic with this stupid horn, I would go. In fact, I was thinking about visiting until all this happened."

Scarlett looks around the open sea, taking in all it's beauty and glory. She was going to look forward to looking after this ship while Caramel was away. Though she still needed to ask the name of the ship.

Wilhelm had finally finished his work, pulling an all-nighter with a lantern just so that the entire thing would be finished. He had shaped the wood, sanded it down, finished the drainage holes, hell, he had even painted it with a nice wood stain. Exhausted, he ignored every other pony and fell asleep on the deck near the foremast, snoring. Probably the only thing that could wake him at this point would be a buck to the face.

"My customs may not be similar to yours, but I refuse to have my people change the way they have lived for generations simply because you are too narrow-minded to accept customs that do not resemble yours!"

Scarlett could hear an argument going on below deck. She had no idea what for though. She does down a level or two to find Spellbind and Tyra arguing about food of all things. "What's this all about! You can't seriously be arguing about food you two, that'd stupid"

"It was not I who began this conflict!" Tyra barked in defence, "It is not my fault my homeland has no way to grow vegetables and we have had to rely on fish and other meats to survive!"

 

"If we were able to change this, we would have done so already! This is simply our way!"

"It's not stupid when it's about the welfare and rights of innocent animals who haven't done a thing wrong and don't deserve to be fried up for dinner," said Spellbind. "I appreciate that Tyra's homeland cannot grow vegetables, but there a plenty of ways to get around having to eat other creatures. The world was created for all beings, not just pony beings."

She could hear everything that they were saying even thou she was two decks below "ALRIGHT THAT'S ENOUGH!!" Caramel yelled, who had stormed to the deck. "I want both of ye to stop right now or I swear I'll throw ye both overboard. Listen to yerselfs, we only got a few more hours left. And yer gonna spend that fighting with each other? What kinda friend are ye? We grew so close almost like family and this is how ye gonna end it? Shame on you!"

Scarlett recoils back and and does one of those weird little pony scrunchy faces before going "Yea... What Caramel said guys. This is the last time we'll all be together, most likely ever. We have to make the best of it and enjoy what little time we have left as a crew"

Tyra instantly froze from Caramel's outburst, and listened to every word with surprise.

 

Quickly followed by regret. She was right, all this arguing was foolish. They had come so far together, and they were about to end it on a low note.

 

She offered Spellbind an apologetic bow of the head. "I apologise, captain. You are correct, we cannot let our differences cloud our friendship."

 

She turned to Spellbind and offered the same bow. "Please accept my apology for arguing with you, friend."

Thankful for Caramel's intervention, Scarlett says "Well, now that that's over with."

 

Scarlett looks over to Tyra and Spellbind and nods to indicate that they were doing the right thing.

 

She looks around gesturing "Now what. What is there to do, at the moment."

"Time to steer the ship of course. Look, we're almost at the bay, it's gonna be tricky sailing there but if yer up to it, you can steer." Caramel said with a smile while pointing at the bay. "Alright could somepony close the sails, it's important that we don't sail to fast into the bay.

Smirking at Caramel "Oh but Captain, I'm already steering" she says as she points up to her lit up horn; "But if it makes you feel better I'll go use my hooves she says before teleporting up on to the top deck.

 

Quickly teleporting down again she says "Hey Tyra, mind helping with the sails?"

"Great." She thought to herself. "Could somepony help me. I'm stuck."

Caramel could not easly teleport to deck like Scarlett did so as always she walked up the stairs. Caramel flew up to the main mast to close the sails. "Probably gotta replace those too."Caramel said shaking her head. She flew over to the front mast, the one they just fixed. She had some trouble closing it, eventually getting her mane stuck in rope. "Great." She thought to herself. "Could somepony help me. I'm stuck."

 

Tyra perked up and saw Caramel was caught in the rope on the mast.

She turned to Spellbind. "May our apologies wait a moment?" She requested, and not waiting for an answer as she sprinted off to the mast. She hopped onto it and began to climb, grabbing her axe in her mouth.

 

"Hang on, friend!" She called to Caramel, cutting the bit of rope she was stuck on.

"Oh thank Celestia, my savior." Caramel said laughing. "Seriously thou, thank ye Tyra, I've been hanging here for a while now, that I'm starting to feel a bit dizzy." Caramel said still hanging upside down. Caramel spread her wings in case she was going to fall down.
