Rave walked above deck. He breathed in the air as he was relaxing himself, he was pretty excited to be arriving on land again, after all the experience on sea (that was very little). "We have gotten close enough, shall I start lowering the boats so that we can row ashore?" he looked at Caramel. He was ready to lower the oar boats.

"uhm...I don't think..uhm...we might have a problem.....uhm....I don't have any oar boats." Caramel said while hoofpalming herself. "Why did I forget the boats, ye stupid foal." Caramel said to herself. "I guess we gotta swim to the isles or maybe fly but that wouldn't work for non-Pegasus, you got any ideas?"

Well, I can teleport me, Wilhelm, Tyra, Lordy, the wounded pony (Rave doesn't know Assassin's name) and Spellbind onshore. It will, however, cause a lot of magical strain. But I can do it, just don't be relying on me to be putting any big fireworks immediately afterwards.

Tyra kept the ship sailing toward the isles, overhearing Caramel and Rave's dilemma, and she came up with what she figured would be a good solution.

 

"You needn't worry about me, friend," She spoke up to Rave, "I can swim to shore myself! With Trotstheim being by the sea, it is mandatory to know how to swim. If we have some rope or something close, I can take a few others with me!"

 

She glanced over the rails to the waters below, much calmer than before and sparkling from the sunshine.

"And I must say, the water does not look nearly as cold as it does back home."

"I think I can carry someone with me, that will be one less pony for you to teleport. Maybe violet can carry somepony too. And if Tyra says she wants to swim to shore that will only leave two ponies for you to teleport. Unless others want to swim too." Caramel said with a smile. "I think it will go just fine."

Spellbind hesitated. She was absolutely terrified of seas and oceans because of her phobia, rational or not, of the life that lived beneath it. On the other hoof, she felt bad when ponies went to lengthy extents for her.

 

"Uh, I can swim to shore too," she said.

Wilhelm came up from belowdecks, saddlebags on, with one very large book stuffed in one and a series of supplies in the other. He flexed his wings and smiled. "Rave, I'm good. I can fly there." He took off from the deck, did a loop-de-loop around the sails, and soared around the ship, banking above the poop deck and settling back down a few feet from where he started.

"Thought you were still wounded by that cannon. Fine, if nobody needs me I'll go myself". Rave's horn glowed and he was gone with a flash. He arrived on shore. He immediately lied down and started kissing the sand. "Sweet earth, so good to see you again". He realized what he had done and started picking sand off his tongue. "Stupid stupid stupid" he said to himself.

"Ah, somepony to join me!" Tyra grinned widely, trotting away from the wheel and to Spellbind's side, putting an arm over her.

 

Once she got close, she could see the hesitation in the unicorn's eyes, and she had an idea.

"You may ride on my back, if you wish," she suggested, smiling as sincerely as possible, "I shall have us both on the beach in no time!"

"No, it's okay, you don't need to do that," replied Spellbind, in people-pleasing mode as usual. "I'll swim by myself."

 

She would have said, "It'll be nice to have somepony by my side though. I'm scared of the sea and ocean..." but that would probably have encouraged Tyra.

Caramel also heard the hesitation in Spellblind's tone. Caramel knew that if she would ask Spellblind if she wanted to be carried , she would decline. So Caramel just decided to grab her without asking as she flew her way to shore. "Sorry, but this way it's faster." Caramel gently put Spellblind down on the ground as she headed back to the ship to get her stuff and to lower the anchor of course.

"Hey, what the-?!" exclaimed Spellbind as she was plucked right off the ground and flown over the waters. She attempted to break herself free, but Caramel was too strong for her.

 

Spellbind sighed and waited on the ground she had been deposited onto as Caramel returned to the ship. She got up and examined her new location.

With a cheerful yell, Tyra sprinted to the rail from across the deck, and leaped off into a dive into the water.

 

Her assumption was right; the water was much cooler now, especially compared to the earlier battle.

 

With decent speed, she swam across the surface to the beach, ending up next to Spellbind, and shook herself off like a wet dog.

 

"Aah, we have arrived," she smirked, looking around the beach and then grinning up to the unicorn, "let us explore a bit, shall we?"

Rave saw Tyra and Spellbind on the beach a little bit away from him. He waved a hoof and then headed in the opposite direction. He brought out of his saddlebags his black orb. "And now we begin". The orb flared red for a moment. He felt its dark energies surge. "Feels a little bit better". He started walking, levitating the orb by his side.

"Don't run off to far, keep together alright." Caramel yelled as she pulled down the anchor. She also tied up the sails so that the wind wouldn't take the ship while they were gone. "Anyone who doesn't go off the ship in 10 minutes just stays on the ship. Do not come after us when we are already gone. We don't want ye to get lost. Unless it's really important, just stay on the ship. Have a drink, fix up the sails, play a game of cards. I don't know, just don't get lost." With that announcement Caramel jumped off the ship with her saddlebags ready. She flew towards the beach and landed next to Rave and the others.

"Sounds nice," replied Spellbind with a smile. She walked along when she felt something brush against her side... a crab.

 

"AIEEEEEEEEEEE!" she squealed, jumping back.

 

She managed to collect herself, then sighed. "I deserve that. I was cruel to animals during a phase in my life."

"ooh yeah the crabs, can't wait to sea those giant ones that are suppose to be around here." Caramel looked around from excitment again. She then looked at the orb that Rave was looking at. "Are we going the right way MasterMaps, cause if ye get us lost, I'll have to take half of yer share." she said with a teasing tone.

Tyra nodded at Caramel's orders, and jumped as she heard at scream from behind. She rushed right to Spellbind's side.

"What is it?!" She yelped, looking around, "What is the trouble?!"

 

She looked down and noticed the little crab, and petted it with a grin. "'Tis only a crab, my friend! Their nip is rather irritating, from what I hear, though."

 

She grinned over to Caramel, hopping on her hooves a bit.
"Aah, neither can I! I hope we get to do battle with them, and pit my axe against their giant claws!" She began tilting her hoof up and down, trying to imitate a crab's claw.

Rave's face went a little bit red. "Lost, me nonsense. Impossible. The mapping orb will make sure we don't get lost, I can assure you of that. It is mapping out everything" he said with a touch of pride. "Now let us head to the East, we head through the jungle, until we stumble upon some ruins. By the ruins should be a massive Lagoon".

"I might just lie down and let those crabs do whatever they like with me..." said Spellbind self-deprecatively. "I would deserve it for all the times I tortured animals, including crabs... it was probaby because I got bullied a lot, but that doesn't excuse my actions..."

"And the lagoon is were the shipwreck lays I presume?" Caramel said. She looked behind her, seeing Tyra and Spellblind fooling around with crabs. "Come ponies hurry up a bit, we don't got all day. And were are the others, they have to hurry too if they still wanna catch up." Caramel thought.

Tyra's ears lowered at Spellbind's little self-demeaning comment, but she put an arm around her again.

 

"Whatever you have done in your past, you obviously have left there and become better," she smiled, walking with her after Caramel.

 

Her smile then quickly turned into a stern frown. "But bullies are unforgivable, driving you to think such things."

Rave kept on walking, with the orb in front of him. If anypony looked into the orb, they would see red swirls of cloud within the orb of black. However, Rave seemed to see something different. One could think that he was mad and that the orb was nothing but a cloud lantern (instead of a lava lantern). The group approached the jungle. "We will have to be careful, from what notes I have gathered about this place, the jungle seems to be the most dangerous place besides the lagoon and ruins on the entire island. A lot of wildlife is there and the plants.... will be dangerous".

"I think the bullies are more forgiveable than me..." said Spellbind. "I'm worthless, it shouldn't matter if someone hurts me. Those animals weren't."

 

"Why are you worthless but not those animals?" she asked herself.

 

"I just am," she snapped in response to herself.

"I know I know but what about the shipwreck, that's the important stuff. That's where the treasure lays and I want treasure." Caramel said walking next to Rave. She looked around at the plants of the jungle. They looked really colorful. Just like in the everfree forrest. Thinking about the forest made her miss her home. "I wonder how my sister is doing?" she thought. She tried to get the thoughts of home out of her head. "So the shipwreck?"
