.Hack, the franchise based off of a series of RPG games disguised as RPG simulators that has spawned numerous anime, manga and other video game adaptations. 

 

Sword Art Online, the widespread commercial success that has taken Japan & the worlds otaku by storm.

FINALLY! I thought I was the only one who rememebred .hack... I'm so tired of bringing it up only to have a reaction of "So it's like SAO?"

 

.hack came first! SAO is like .hack! not the other way around!

 

That said, I can't really say which is better since I've not seen much of SAO, though I HAVE read Legend of the Twilight Bracelet... It was kinda sloppy tbh o3o bringing up a bunch of questions and then trying to cram in all the answers at the end, which ended up answering nothing at all...

 

So I guess I'd have to go with SAO just because if it's as popular as it is, it's probably much better than Twilight Bracelet.... But seriously, .hack came WAY before Sword Art....
