Caliber again shrunk away. He seemed to just now register the fact he was wounded. He hid behind his cloak, warning anyone who got close. He didn't wanna go to the ER, he didn't wanna fight anyone. He just wanted to mourn "violet's" death.

Princess Celestia looked at Caliber "That was just a wachknight,they are made to find your weakness and expoit it litle one." her voice got much more deep,serius and scary "Snap out of it!".She than with her magic pulled wachknigh closer to her "Look,its just wachknight it was never pony,it was just a trick."

Blizzard couldn't stand to see Caliber like this and he marched right up to Caliber, "Look at me bro....*shakes him* LOOK AT ME! Trust in me, your best friend! Trust me dammit! That wasn't Violet! I don't care if you wanna hurt me right now! I'm willing to take that risk to snap you out of this stupidity! THAT. WAS. NOT. VIOLET!"

caliber seemed to just now register the fact he had a wound. he turned to look at celestia. then at ice blizzard. all the fighting spirit he had left his eyes. "if you say so..." he said. he broke away from ice blizzard, and fiddled with his sword a bit, unscrewing the hilt to reveal a hidden chamber. he took something out, and pocketed it. the sword clattered to the ground. caliber started walking away.

Blizzard wasn't happy at all, "Oh that's great! Juuust great! Now Caliber's depressed, gosh man. We gotta find out who did this, and I think I know who, and we gotta take them down before we all get messed up." Blizzard was conflicted and started to pace back and forth because he didn't know what to do. "What do we do now?"

Tyra sighed and trotted up to Caliber.

"Friend, I understand what you are feeling right now," she began, nodding sagely, "but unlike me, nothing has been taken from you. That robot deceived you into thinking you had hurt a friend. Nothing has changed, so you should not either."

 

She pointed to the lone sword on the ground. "Now, will you take up your weapon, and help us fight the demon who dared battle us in our minds?"

Blizzard picked up Caliber's sword and tried to give it back to him, "Come on Caliber! Take this your sword! Take it back and we'll get that evil mare together you'll see! Come on, like Tyra said, nothing has changed, that was just a piece of junk! Now show that you're better than a piece of junk and take your sword back!"

caliber sighed. "i realized i would kill a friend." he said, nodding at the broken robot. "i dont want my sword back...i could do something else i might regret..." he tried for a smile. "but you be sure to get that mare..." again, he tried to leave. "im done with killing..."

Blizzard decided to hold onto Caliber's sword, knowing his best friend, he would need it again, "Shut up the stupid talk bro! Look, you chose to join us on this adventure, and what? I never knew Caliber the Wanderer would wander AWAY from the fight! Look, don't be leaving us man. I'll keep your sword warm--er cool for ya until the real you resurfaces, but until then, you gotta regroup." Blizzard then puts Caliber's sword in his ice saddlebag.

Tyra put her hoof on Blizzard's shoulder, to get his attention.

 

"I know one way to reawaken his spirit," she smirked, "If my fire can be rekindled, so can his."

 

She stomped up to Caliber, smirking cockily as she faced him.

"So, this is the almighty 'wandering hero' Caliber, is it?" She taunted, quoting with her hooves, "The pony who would put down armies of foes wearing naught but a towel? The pony who would strike first and not bother asking questions later?"

 

She shook her head. "It is too bad, I was looking forward to having a match against this Caliber, but he seems to have left us. All we have is a pretender."

 

She didn't mean any word she was saying, of course, but she knew she and Caliber thought alike; they both responded to challenging words.

Blizzard caught on to Tyra's trick and played along, "Yeah, you're right Tyra...maybe he's not as awesome as we thought. Maybe he needs more practice." Blizzard walked up to Caliber as well, "I mean only a truly awesome swordspony can weild a sword like yours. And since you dropped it maybe you are just a PRETENDER. Come on Caliber, you're waaaaay better than that! Come on bro....where have you gone? Get your skill up man!"

Shadow approached Caliber.

 

"Hey buddy! I'm sorry if I did anything wrong! I was just trying to help!"

"Hey I want you to have something."

 

He picks up his watch from his saddlebag.

 

"I want you to have this! As a sign of my eternal gratitude."

"It is my watch of illusions. It allows you to feign death with the click of a button!

This watch has passed on from my older generations all the way to me! And now it is yours! You have showed me your true strength! And *chuckles* thinking you would actually BEHEAD ME? *chuckle* I can't believe it! Would you actually do that?"

caliber looked at ice blizzard, and tyra. mocking him. there was a spark in his eyes, but nothing more. 

 

but it was clear they struck home. 

 

"i assure you, im caliber." he said firmly, "caliber, the wanderer." and when shadow tried to give him the clock, he muttered. "i was wondering how ya did that...no, you keep it."

 

he eyed his sword.

Tyra's smirk didn't waver; she and Blizzard were making progress, but Caliber's fire still hadn't fully lit yet.

 

"If you are indeed Caliber," she continued, pointing to his sword, "you will take up your blade and prove it! Or, is it a lie that you are amongst the greatest swordsponies in the world?"

Shadow explained to caliber.

 

"It's an ancient piece of magical equipment carried over by my past generations."

He pointed at the clock.

"If you press this button, it instantly clones your physical form into a mental copy. but you remain invisible until you either let the blue circle deplete or you manually close it."

"Try it!"

Blizzard took out Caliber's sword again, "Come on dude, are you really you? Are are you a clone from the future? *stick his sword into the ground* Pick it up. Only a true swordspony can weild a sword like that. And you mean to tell me that you aren't it? Is my best friend a phony? Prove me wrong! "

caliber narroewd his eyes, and stood at his full height. "im here to tell you, tyra, that i am caliber, the wanderer, fourth strongest swordspony in equestria." he said, his eyes with a small fire in them. he grabbed his sword. "i was just fighting, wasn't i?!" 

 

the fire in his eyes had returned in full, but there was still something off about it. like...it was broken...

Blizzard jumped up with happiness, "YEAH! Whoo! That's Caliber the Wanderer! That's the best swordspony we know! That's our friend! Now pick up your sword, raise it in the air and say what you just said again. But this time, do it loud and say it proud! Repeat after me, 'I am Caliber the Wanderer!' "

caliber managed a challenging grin. "i would prefer a fight...im not that boastful" he said, looking at tyra and ice blizzard. "the fight with the robot was hardly satisfying..." his wound would wait, he just wanted to have a good fight. "c'mon...come at me..." he got into his stance.

Tyra smirked, and lowered herself down into a fighting position. She was going against a sword without her real axe, but she had wanted to try her new hoof-to-hoof technique on a real opponent.

 

"There is your fire!" She yelled, glaring at him challengingly, "Now show us its glory!"

Blizzard jumped at Caliber's offer, "Here I come! Hiya!" Blizzard grabbed Caliber's sword and gave it to him, "Use the force bro....and take this!" Blizzard shot 50 ice balls at Caliber and expected him to block them all, "Come on! Show me that style of combat that you use!"

caliber's fire wasn't fully restored, yet, but he managed to block almost all of them. he then dashed at tyra, sword held high. "your gonna regret accepting that challenge!" he yelled, and he jumped and spun his sword downwards. "hya!" his sword was fast, but it lacked power.

Blizzard jumped with excitement, "Yeah, that's right! How about this? *makes a regular ice cage around Caliber* Come on swordspony..  the real Caliber can break out of anything. Come on 'Legendary 4th Greatest' break your way out.   " Blizzard knew that Caliber could break it, he just wanted him to feel like he was still in the game.

[Fiery Shadow 109]

Shadow was standing at a safe distance observing the other ponies fighting.

He was shaking his wings to blow away dust. He was still thinking about what he was supposed to remember back at the restaurant.

*Mumbles to himself*

He stopped a second to grab a sandwich from his saddlebag.

He grabbed the sandwich and started eating.

*Nom Nom nom on nom*

*cough*

"Aw well. Let's see what the others are doing."

He trotted towards all the others.

"Anything going on?"
